Judicial report: Weather: Fine B.Cole the Trainer of BOSS LOU was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.5 kilograms underweight.
B.Cole the Trainer of JAW BORN was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.2 kilograms underweight.

Race 1	MCENTEE EVENT HIRE - C4 - 305	TOUCH OF SMOKEY was slow to begin but then recovered to finish in 3rd place. SILVER CITY was handy to the first corner but was checked and lost several lengths and all chance. HOMEBUSH BELLA was checked and fell on the first corner but was not injured. BIGTIME ELLA appeared to suffer an injury and eased up in the straight and was last across the line. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with bruising to a hind leg. BIGTIME ELLA L.Ahern Rule 82 Suffered from bruising to a hind leg and stood down for 5 days to and including 03.01.08.
Race 2	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305	HAPPY JAY, SHY ANNE ROSE and MY ESSENCE were slow to begin and lost several lengths and all chance of a placing.
Race 3	KEENAN CONCRETE - C1 - 520	One of the favourites THRILLING BREE was bumped and pushed out on the first turn and lost ground as a result.
Race 4	GUTHRIE BOWRON, WANGANUI - C1 - 305	At the start TERROR JIM scrambled as they left the boxes but got going quickly and attempted to cross the field as THRILLING BETH came out off the rail. As a consequence of this, the field were all checked for some distance allowing BIGTIME SID the widest runner to be clear of this trouble and lead all the way for a comfortable win. ASLAN A.Trass Rule 64 Suffering from a shoulder injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 03.01.08
Race 5	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1/2df - 645	Soon after the start OWNEY JOE TARR suffered a bad check and nearly fell as they were on the point of the top bend and this was caused by THRILLING MAC who was looking to get over towards the rail. OWNEY JOE TARR never recovered from this incident and tailed the field the rest of the journey. REBA KEROMA B.Craik Rule 64 Suffering from a bicep strain and stood down for 14 days to and including 10.01.08.
Race 6	DASH FOR CASH FINAL - C5f - 305	Soon after the start PUNISH (fav) crossed over to the lead and caused crowding to the dogs inside , MY TOY BOY at the same time was attempting get off the rail and in coming out caused KYLIES DILEMMA and FANCY LINE to be checked out to the rear where they stayed to the finish.
Race 7	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C5 - 520	JIMMY HALL moved in on the first corner and checked LIGHTNING STRIKE who fell and to a lesser extent THRILLING NEWTON who lost ground. LIGHTNING STRIKE suffered a foreleg fracture and was euthanased. RIGHTLY ACCUSED L.Ahern Rule 64.10 A late scratching due to a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 26.01.08. LIGHTNING STRIKE B.Cole Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered a foreleg fracture and was euthanased.
Race 8	DIMOCKS RETROVISION - C5 - 305	General tightening soon after the start resulted in checks to several runners with BLACK SPOT PRANG and RED BIRD being the most affected. HILLYS TIP raced onto the heels of HOMEBUSH JENNA on the first corner and ran out checking BLACK SPOT PRANG and RED BIRD who were forced very wide and they finished in the last two places.
Race 9	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C3 - 520	MAJOR CONQUEST was checked and lost ground in the home straight and this possibly cost him the chance of a closer placing than 4th.
Race 10	THE RADIO WORKS - C3 - 305	NITRO LAD was uncomfortable from the time he left the boxes and raced at the rear throughout. He was sent for a veterinary examination and cleared of injury. Soon after the start there was buffeting between the dogs in the middle of the field for several strides. As they raced into the first turn THRILLING MELODY came out off the rail and caused SYDENHAM GREEN to be severely checked back through the field but he was able to run on into 4th placing at the finish
Race 11	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1/2 - 305	Soon after the start LUNAR SANDS and THRILLING KEA came together for several strides. As the field raced down to the first turn JUST ROCKIN tried to get over to the rail and caused NANCY'S WISH who was on the rail to be badly checked for several strides which cost her valuable ground at that point and she ended up at the rear but ran on into 5th placing at the finish.
Race 12	INTERISLANDER - C1 - 520	Soon after the start MAURITIUS ,REWIRED ,DAPTO TOKEN and THRILLING MILLY all came together jostling each other for several strides.
Race 13	METEOR PRINTERS - C4 - 305	Racing down to the first turn HOMEBUSH TERRA came down across from the outside box and checked BLUECHIP VIRUS back to the rear. These two dogs never recovered and finished at the rear.
Race 14	GEON WELLINGTON - C1/2 - 305	HOMEBUSH MAX ran in from the start and checked ROCKET WOLF who lost ground. GENEROUS THIEF was checked on the bend and dropped back onto THRILLING ZOE who was pushed wide but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
