Race 1	TRUST HOUSE HURDLES - C1/2h - 545	PITSTOCK JAZZ and ARANUI FLASH bumped together on the first corner annd PITSTOCK JAZZ lost a little ground. ARANUI SPARK fell at the last hurdle, was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. ARANUI JOKER W.Morris Rule 64 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 08.01.08. JUST A DRIP Ex Wellington on 23.12.07 DANCING BANSHEE M.Gardner Rule 82 Suffered lacerations to a hand leg and stood down for 7 days to and including 02.01.08.
Race 2	THE SIGN FACTORY - C0 - 290	NELLIES WAY appeared to make contact with the rail on the bend and then made contact with TUI THUNDER on the home turn and dropped out to finish in last place.
Race 3	SOUTH WAIRARAPA VETS - C0 - 545	SNATCH A CRADLE and HOMEBUSH ELMO were slow to begin and raced well back throughout and finished in the last two places. SNATCH A CRADLE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. ARATAKI LAD was checked back to last on the first corner but then recovered to run on for 4th place. DRIVING FORWARD Gained a start in race 6. PULL A SWIFTY G & S Hayden Holmes Rule 63.10. No penalty. KINGDOM LAD Ex Wellington on 23.12.07.
Race 4	SABA'S MOTOR COURT - C3/4 - 290	AFTERNOON DELITE dropped out to last soon after the start and tailed the field from there to the finish and appeared sore. AFTERNOON DELITE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a toe ligament injury. AFTERNOON DELITE M.McCook Rule 82 Suffered a toe ligament injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 05.01.08
Race 5	HEADSTONES WAIRARAPA - C1/2 - 545	One of the favourites KAI MOANA was checked on the first corner and lost several lengths but recovered well to finish 4th.
Race 6	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES GRADUATION HEAT 1 - RESq - 545 Heat 1	COMANCHE BRAVE, DEBBIE BLUEFIRE and EARL MCROBERTS were checked on the first corner and lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. HUTT PARK FLYER O.Marron Rule 64 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 31.12.07.
Race 7	WAIRARAPA TIMES AGE - C1 - 290	WHITE SPARTAN ran in from the start and jostled JEFFIES FELLA and I,M INFECTIOUS for a few strides and all three lost ground with the favourite I,M INFECTIOUS the only one to recover and she ran on for 4th placing. The other two finished at the rear.
Race 8	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES GRADUATION HEAT 2 - RESq - 545 Heat 1	COLOUR WASH and DUSTYS REWARD were very slow to begin and they stayed well back and finished in the rear group.
Race 9	BRUCE McLEAN PAINTER - C5 - 290	FIVE ACROSS was slow away and was on a forward move on the first corner when she collided with GRUNDY and both lost ground and finished towards the rear. ROCKING QUEEN finished in last place and did not appear to be galloping correctly. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a toe injury and has now been retired. DID SHE Ex Wellington on 23.12.07. Now deceased. ROCKING QUEEN P.Raven Rule 82 Suffered a toe injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 23.01.08. Now retired.
