Judicial report: Weather: Fine An inquiry was opened and adjourned under Rule 64.2. into the scratching of TURN THE CARD (D Kingston) a starter in Race 5.
Trainer PR Breen was given an oficial warning under Rule 88.1.o following his dog Homebush Valerie escaping from his van in the carpark.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C4 - 295 MODERN ECLIPSE was slow away and then checked off heels and ran wide before finishing close up in 6th. Into the bend BEAU ran out at the same time as KARL BAXTER ran in causing general tightening to the inside runners. KNOW BETTER (GA Cleeve) was a scratching at Christchurch GRC on 30 November 2007. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 6 December 2007. UPBEAT (MJ Flipp) was a late scratching when being prepared for racing when found with diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 10 December 2007.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP SPRINT - C0 - 295 COREYS COMET was a stride slow to leave the boxes and when improving was checked by HOMEBUSH KING who was railing through to win. Into the bend, with tightening from the outside, ONE SICK CHICK got on the heels as GOLD QUIZ attempted to run off the rail with a resutltant check to BLOOMING MABEL.
Race 3 BARRON'S SUPPLIES DASH - C0 - 295 Soon after the start TOYA and SAIGON LORD came together and soon after HOMEBUSH MATE and PAREORA LASS also bumped.
Race 4 SHIRLEY T.A.B STAKES - C0 - 520 Soon after the start CLAN DESPERADO and DANCING JAZZY came together and forced SISTER DEE to change direction outwards. Into the first bend CLAN DESPERADO ran to the rail and squeezed CLAN SAVIOUR who was racing on the inside. At the same time DEAR ABBEY ran out off SISTER DEE and impacted CLAN MCDEE who dropped out to finish last. DANCING JAZZY was subject to a post race vet test but was found to be uninjured..
Race 5 GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING DASH - C1 - 295 Soon after the start MISS BAXTER ran out and BONDO BRINDI ran in which tightened NICKER TIME and BLACK INN BRAVE who were racing in the centre, these dogs losing all chance. Into the bend CHILE TIME ran out and impacted with BONDI BRINDI but both recovered to run on for fourth and fifth. TURN THE CARD (D Kingston) Rule 64.5. 28 days up to and including 30 December 2007.
Race 6 SBS BANKING STAKES - C1 - 520 Into the first bend FROSTY EQUATOR ran across to the rail and tightened the inside runners with MOUNT RILEY and CLAN CRUSADER badly checked. KNOW GLORY (GA Cleeve) left hind fibula soreness. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 December 2007.
Race 7 ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C1 - 295 Soon after the start PINBALL WIZARD jumped inward which resulted in checks to WHATA DILEMA, CATCH A DIVA, KAIWERA SARAH and HIGHWAY BAXTER. HOMEBUSH CASTOR jumped inward from the boxes and hit AINT NO ROYAL and these two dogs came together racing into the bend losing all chance.
Race 8 CONTAINERMAN STAKES - C1 - 520 Soon after the jump WE LOVE PRINCESS was tightened and settled back beating one home. The favourite WINSOME JUNIOR was a stride slow to leave the boxes but recovered quickly to lead and run away with the race.
Race 9 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C2 - 295 All clear. DANCE FOR DANNY (JM Jopson) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with blood in his faeces. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 10 December 2007. DELUDED (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 7 December 2007.
Race 10 NZ COMMUNITY TRUSTS SPRINT - C1 - 295 Into the bend ELLE VOLI ran out and pushed BOTOX BARBIE into the path of the favourite KNOW WHAT who was badly checked as was MCMANUS with HAMBURGER pushed wide on the track. All these dogs lost their chance and finished at the rear of the field.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK STAKES - C1 - 520 The favourite MR JAZZ was slow to jump and settled last. Into the first bend MR JAZZ attempted to leave the rail and in doing do forced WHATA HOON wide on the track. Down the back straight MR JAZZ railed through and ran on strongly to grab third place. He was vetted post race and found with right hock soreness with a 10 day stand down recommended. MR. JAZZ (J&D Fahey) right hock soreness. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 13 December 2007.
Race 12 KOLORFUL KANVAS SPRINT - C2 - 295 Racing to the first bend HOMEBUSH BREE, STATE ELECTION, IS A HAND and WHISKY'S LAD came together settling well back. CHILE LOPEZ was examined by the vet after the race but nothing was amiss. STATE ELECTION was subject to a post race veterinary check and found with a right carpal sprain with a 14 day stand down recommended. CAPTAIN MARIAH (J&D Fahey) sore left scapula. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 9 December 2007. STATE ELECTION (A Hart & K Taylor) right carpal sprain. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 17 December 2007.
Race 13 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY DASH - C4 - 295 All clear.
Race 14 COATERS TAVERN STAKES - C4 - 520 Soon after the start HOMEBUSH THORN ran down towards the rail tightening CRAFTY FLYNN, SALLY BAXTER, FLOJO FLYER and LAGOON LAD on his inner with CRAFTY FLYNN hitting the rail. Soon after CRAFTY FLYNN checked outwards onto SALLY BAXTER and HOMEBUSH THORN, all three losing ground. They finished at the rear CRAFTY FLYNN was subject to a post race vet check with no injury detected. . FIFI THE GENIUS (J&D Fahey) was a late scratching at Christchurch GRC on 30 November 2007. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 6 December 2007. LYRICAL BALE (AC Roberts) kennel cough. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 December 2007.
Race 15 PICK SIX LEG ONE - C2/3 - 295 Into the first bend MOST ROYAL, CHILE DAN and THAT VIRUS came together. As a result the trailing dog GATLIN ANGEL climbed on the hindquarters of MOST ROYAL and fell. A post race vet check revealed no injury. The favourite CALLING COLLECT was slow to leave the boxes but improved around the skirmish and ran on to be second.
Race 16 MURRAY @ RE/MAX PH 033715005 STAKES - C5 - 520 Into the first bend SPACE HOPPER checked out off GROOVY FINANCE and settled last and stayed there. TOMMY LEE WHISKY (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found to be vomitting. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 8 December 2007.
Race 17 WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM SPRINT - C2/3 - 295 GOLDEN MOVER was slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend BAXTERS BOY eased out wide and took the line of HOMEBUSH CARLIN who lost momentum and dropped out to be last. JOHNNY BAXTER (JT McInerney) vomitting. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 9 December 2007. MIGHTY POWER (R Hunter) intestinal obstruction. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 18 INTERISLANDER STAKES - C2 - 520 Into the first bend BOUNCEN BLITZEM checked out off LATE EDITION and cannoned into STARLIGHT JEWEL. In the home straight LATE EDITION marred SABA JEWEL. A charge under rule 80.1 was preferred against LATE EDITION. A post race vet checked revealed LATE EDITION had no significant injury. He was again examined following the final race and found with low grade soreness in the right quadriceps muscle with no stand down recommended. As LATE EDITION had been stood down at Cranbourne on 13 August 2007 for a period of three months, he was stood down for a period of 12 months up until 3 December 2008 under Rule 80.1.a. FIERY FALCON (MM Grant) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. 5 days up to and including 8 December 2007. LATE EDITION (JT McInerney) Rule 80.1.a, Rule 22.3 and the Third Schedule. 12 months up to and including 3 December 2008 and to undertake a satisfactory trial.
Race 19 HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY TODDY DASH - C2/3 - 295 Into the bend THRILLING FURY held its line and as a result CLAN ORA and HOMEBUSH VIEW were squeezed for room and badly checked.
Race 20 SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C3 - 520 Into the first bend RAGIN CAJUN improving around the outside tightened SCOTT NO TRACK with subsequent checks to HOMEBUSH ABEL and FIRM OFFER who filled the last two placings. SCOTT NO TRACK recovered well to run home for second. HOMEBUSH BRADLEY (JT McInerney) mild sprain to right hind toe. Veterinary certificate supplied.
