Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Owner/trainer K KILSBY was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when MOODY BLUE, a starter in Race 3 weighed in 1.7kgs under his last race start weight.
Trainer JE DUNN was fined $200.00 after pleading guilty to a charge under Rules 64.2 and 88.1.o as a result of incorrectly nominating GROOVY SHOT and GROOVY SHOW, both Class 2 dogs, for their incorrect race distances at the forthcoming Otago GRC meeting on 12 November 2007. In his written defence in accordance with Rule 64.5 he submitted that the dogs were shown consecutively on his on line nominations form and with only 1 letter difference in their names he had made a simple error. He had elected to scratch both dogs for welfare reasons due to his error. Taking that into account the Adjudicating Steward imposed no period of standdown for either dog.

Race 1	BRIAN BAGLEY DRIVER LICENSING STAKES - C1 - 545	KNOW GLORY ran about after jumping from the boxes colliding with CYBER QUEEN and APACHE MOHAWK. They settled at the rear. Into the home straight APACHE MOHAWK hit the rail when in fourth place drifting out to finish well back. KNOW GLORY ran on late for third with CYBER QUEEN fourth. Both APACHE MOHAWK and CYBER QUEEN were subject to veterinary checks with no injury detected to either dog. THRILLING EADIE (P&B Conner) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a cut to his off fore pad. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 3 days up to and including 10 November 2007
Race 2	PAWS INN BOARDING KENNEL SPRINT - C0 - 310	From the jump COREYS COMET collided with GRANT A FORTUNE with HOMEBUSH CASTOR receiving a check in the incident. COREYS COMET and GRANT A FORTUNE continued to jostle in the run to the turn, with COREYS COMET diving down towards the rail and shouldering JIMMY BLACKSMITH causing that dog to lose ground and in turn a check MELT THE FLAME. COREYS COMET, JIMMY BLACKSMITH and MELT THE FLAME filled the last three places. HOMEBUSH CHELSEA (JT McInerney) deceased.
Race 3	RAIMA BLUE LIFE MEMBER SPRINT - C0 - 310	SANCHEDA was slow to jump losing all chance finishing on for fifth. Into the bend MOODY BLUE hit the rail before running on for fourth. TINY HAND and ONE SICK CHICK tangled soon after the jump and TINY HAND ran outwards into the bend colliding with ONE SICK CHICK both losing all chance filling the last two placings. MOODY BLUE was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss.
Race 4	WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ STAKES - C0 - 545	The favourite WINSOME DIGNITY came up with the lids losing all chance at the start before running on resolutely to finish second. Into the first bend LIVELY SPIRIT clipped ABBY HAVOC both losing ground to finish at the rear with HOMEBUSH MATE who ran wide around the bend after coming in contact with FAST GROOVY.
Race 5	KEYOSK SERVICE BAR SPRINT - C1 - 310	CHILE COMMAND was tightened soon after the jump, settling last before running on for fourth. Into the bend the favourite KNOW WHAT moved inwards from his outside draw tightening HAMBURGER who was badly checked forcing ANOTHER PICNIC, BREENYS GIRL and DARK ZEPHYR wide. These four dogs lost all chance to finish at the rear.
Race 6	PET CENTRAL STAKES - C0 - 545	WHATA HOON was slow to jump. Into the first bend HUGO FIRST and BLOOMING MABEL came together losing momentum and forcing BREENYS BOY wide on the track. At the end of the back straight the favourite GROOVY CARLA was checked as the winner DREAMY HAZE drove to the lead. GROOVY CARLA finished second.
Race 7	BROCKLEBANK DRY CLEANERS STAKES - C1 - 545	KOBBLE UP drifted to the rear soon after the start. Into the first bend an improving MOA HUNTER tightened those dogs on his inner forcing MCCRACKEN down into the path of FROST EQUATOR resulting in MCCRACKEN being turned sideways and colliding with MOA HUNTER and WE LOVE PRINCESS. MCCRACKEN faultered as a result of the impact pulling up where he was caught by his handler. Soon after this incident an improving KOBBLE UP collided with NORTH INGILLTAB who was forced outwards colliding with JIN JU. These dog lost all chance to finish midfield. MCCRACKEN was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a right shoulder muscle injury with a 10 day stand down recommended. ROBTITLE (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 11 November 2007. MCCRACKEN (Lawrence/Lockett) injury to right shoulder muscle. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 November 2007.
Race 8	SPEEDPRINT SHOP STAKES - C2 - 545	The second favourite GROOVY SHOT ran wide around the first bend losing ground to settle at the rear before running on to finish fifth. STARLIGHT JEWEL (AC Roberts) infected left fore inside toe. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 10 November 2007.
Race 9	WOBBLY'S SPRINT - C1 - 310	PROPHETS FLIGHT was slow from the boxes settling a clear last and finishing at the rear with BOTOX BARBIE who was tightened inside ROSE OF TARLEE into the bend.
Race 10	FORBURY PARK SPRINT - C1 - 310	CHILE WILL HE was slow to jump. Into the bend SMOOTH STRIDER moved down towards the rail checking CATCH A DIVA and an improving CHILE WILL HE both losing ground to finish near the rear. On the bend ENCHANTED DREAM and CHILE WILL HE came together with CHILE WILL HE running wide to finish last. CAPTAIN MARIAH (J&D fahey) diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied.
