HOMEBUSH ALLY was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury but is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1 before next starting in a tote race. NO WARNING moved in on the first turn and caused checks to BOUNCEN BLITZEM and MY SINBAD who both lost greound. | Race 3 | GUTHRIE BOWRON - C5 - 305 | SUNSET DOLL was one of the quickest away but dropped back soon after and finished several lengths last. SUNSET DOLL was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. The Trainer advised that SUNSET DOLL will be retired. One of the favourites SIR KRETION was held up for several strides on the first corner and this probably cost the dog the chance of a placing and he finished in 5th place. SIR KRETION suffered a slight pad injury but did not require a stand down. | Race 4 | KEENAN CONCRETE - C3 - 305 | LITTLE INTENT and THOMAS THE TANK bumped together for several strides early in the race and lost ground which they never recovered and they finished in the last two places. |
| Race 5 | NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #7 - HEAT 1 - RESq - 520 Heat 1 | THRILLING MAC was slow away but made up ground well to be challenging for the lead starting the final bend. At that point, PAPAMOA LASS, NGALA and BIGTIME ASSASSIN were checked as THRILLING MAC went forward and they lost all chance while THRILLING MAC went on to win with ease. |
