Soon after the jump TURBO'S RETURN jumped sideways and cannoned into CRAFTY CARSON. TURBO'S RETURN was subject to a veterinary inspection and was found to have reinjured his left wrist flexor tendon with a 21 day stand down reccommended. TURBO'S RETURN (GA Cleeve) reinjured left wrist flexor tendon. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 22/10/07. |

Into the bend TRENDY GUY checked off the heels of CHILE COMMAND and squeezed JACKPOT JACK with a resultant check to MCCRACKEN who was improving around the outside. BERT BADGER was slow to leave the boxes but in angling wide across heels to get to the outside ran very wide on the first bend before finishing fifth. |

GATLIN ANGEL continued to run wide carting HOMEBUSH DAVE wider on the track which also held SMART WAY, CLAN PHOENIX and POWERFAST BORIS wide on the track, all dogs effectively losing their chance. |

As a result ROSE OF TARLEE was pushed into the path of MERCEDES HOPE. CHILE MAID was trailling MERCEDES HOPE and was brought down. Both BE POSITIVE and CHILE MAID were cleared of injury after a post race veterinary inspection. |
