Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainers Freeman and Turnwald were fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting SCRAP METALMAN 1.1 kilograms overweight.
The inquiry into cell phone use by Trainer O.Marron which was opened and adjourned at Manawatu on 17.09.07 was again adjourned until 01.10.07 and a charge under Rule 88.1 q is to be preferred against Mr Marron. The adjournment is to allow witnesses unavailable today to be present on that date.
B.Goldsack was fined $ 20-00 under Rule 88.1 for failing to catch a dog as arranged.

Race 1 MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1 - 305 BIGTIME ENCORE and MIDNIGHT SPOT checked off the heels of WOODSTOCK ROCKS approaching the home turn and lost ground. BIGTIME ROYALE was also checked in the incident and they finished well back in the field. ANOTHER BEAUTY tailed the field throughout and finished last. ANOTHER BEAUTY did not appear to be galloping correctly and he was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a hock injury. ANOTHER BEAUTY S.Mann Rule 82 Suffered a hock injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 16.10.07.
Race 2 DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C1 - 520 All clear.
Race 3 WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C0 - 305 ARANUI SPARK and CRYSTAL VIRUS ran wide around the bend over extra ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 4 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS 'BFG' - C1/2 - 305 HOLAH A HYPO who was the favourite was very slow to begin and never recovered, finishing in 3rd last place. WHATA ASSASSIN was checked on the first corner and dropped out to finish in last place.
Race 5 KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C5 - 305 REGAL PETE was checked on the first corner and dropped back causing checks to MISS EBONY ROSE and THRILLING PIPER and they finished in the last three places. BIGTIME STORM suffered an injury, possibly on pulling up and was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a hock fracture. BIGTIME STORM D.Gough Rule 82 Suffered a fractured hock on pulling up and was euthanased.
Race 6 GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C3 - 520 The favourite IN THE MOB and THRILLING MAX bumped together on the first bend and both lost ground. OPAWA LIZ S.Gommans Rule 64.10 In a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 12.10.09. ROYAL RICHIE A & J Hall Rule 64 Suffering from an eye infection and stood down for 7 days to and including 25.09.07. FUN AND PROFIT B.Duganzich Rule 64 Has a sprained deltoid muscle and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.09.07.
Race 7 RUSHIRE - C4/5 - 520 ROYAL SQUADRON ran in from the start and checked ANOTHER PRIDE and SOPHIE HALL who dropped out to the rear. ROYAL SQUADRON then moved out on the first corner and checked BLASTING POINT and PATTYS ANSWER who were pushed wide. ROYAL SQUADRON then moved in and checked JONNY MARCO entering the back straight causing that runner to lose 3 lengths. JONNY MARCO recovered to finish well for 4th place.
Race 8 MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C1/2 - 520 THRILLING ALBERT was checked entering the final bend and lost several lengths and never recovered. ROSIEANNA BABY A.Duganzich Rule 64 Has a sprained flexor tendon and stood down for 10 days to and including 24.09.07 SABLE RAEDER B.Goldsack Rule 68 A. late scratching due to a carpus strain and laceration and stood down for 7 days to and including 25.09.07. ANOTHER SWAP Freeman and Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a sprained muscle and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.09.07.
Race 9 THE RADIO WORKS - C4 - 305 THOMAS THE TANNK was checked and fell on the first corner. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days due to a hip support injury. BIGTIME KRACKER B.Goldsack Rule 64 Suffering from a stress fracture of the metacarpal and stood down for 28 days to and including 13.10.07. THOMAS THE TANK G & S Hayden Holmes Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered a hip support injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 02.10.07.
Race 10 METEOR PRINTERS - C2/3 - 305 The well supported LUKE SAMMY ZAK raced wide over extra ground around the bend and finished in 5th place. DAPTO GLOSS Freeman and Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a sprained tensor fascia lata muscle and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.09.07.
