Judicial report: Weather: Raining and cold Trainer GA Cleeve was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when KNOW BETTER weighed in 1.3kgs over its last race weight.

Race 1 | ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C3 - 295 | General tightening into the first bend was caused when SILVER CRISIS ran inwards. This caused checks to all of the field except KNOW BETTER and WHATA DUDE who fought out the finish. The worst affected were SILVER CRISIS and STOKER who dropped right out. A post race veterinary check on SILVER CRISIS revealed no injury but a check on KNOW BETTER revealed a skin tear on his dew claw with a seven day stand down recommended. KNOW BETTER (GA Cleeve) left dewclaw skin tear with swelling. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 10 September 2007. |
Race 2 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C3 - 520 | COCKNY CODE was slow to jump settling last. He ran on well to finish in third placing. LAGOON TALLIS ran out on the first bend pushing BOATSWAIN WALLY wider with both dogs losing ground. They finished midfield. Favourite SALLY BAXTER was handy until the home turn when checked by an improving COCKNY CODE. SALLY BAXTER dropped out to beat one home. |
Race 3 | NUTIR-ZING MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C0q - 295 Heat 1 | LAURA BRAND was slow to jump settling last. When improving around the bend she ran very wide taking PORSCHA with her with these dogs losing their chances. Favourite ELARA was checked by an improving LAUGARNO DENNIS out of the back straight losing some ground. She finished fifth. MURPHYS MISTAKE (GJ Hodson) left groin soreness and toe nailbed infection. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 September 2007. |
Race 4 | NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C0q - 295 Heat 1 | SEE YA SOON ran outwards at the jump tightening dogs on her outside. Soon after ELSIE BRAND crossed to the rails clipping BLOOMING MABEL from behind causing this dog to lose ground. |
Race 5 | PUB CHARITY SPRINT - C2 - 295 | Favourite HOMEBUSH BREE and POWERFAST BORIS came together when racing in tight quarters into the first bend losing all chance. GOLDEN MOVER also received some interference in this incident but made up ground to be a close sixth. |
Race 6 | CELTIC ARMS TAVERN STAKES - C2 - 520 | Hot favourite AUSSIE OPAWA was a shade slow and tightened between dogs early before bursting to the front on the first bend and leaving them to it. GRANT A DREAM checked outwards into the first bend taking SWEET PAPOOSE wider with both dogs losing ground. MULBERRY CHIEF (KJ Cassidy) left hock pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 16 September 2007. |
Race 7 | NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 3 - C0 - 295 | CALLING COLLECT and WHITE SPARTAN tangled when well back in the field losing their chances and finishing well back. YANNA was also tightened in this incident. |
Race 8 | BARRON'S SUPPLIES DASH - C1 - 295 | Favourite HOMEBUSH AUSSIE was a shade slow and then switched to the inside. She was checked looking for room into the bend losing ground before finishing on for fifth. |
Race 9 | NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 4 - C0 - 295 | CATCH ME OVER was tightened into the bend losing ground and finishing at the rear. |
Race 10 | DANNY MILLWARD PLASTERING SPRINT - C1 - 295 | OPEN FOR OFFERS and SAINTLY MAGEE were tightened into the bend with BROOKE BAND receiving some backwash and losing her chance. |
Race 11 | TUESDAY PLACE PICK SPRINT - C4 - 295 | A change of ownership was notified for AFTERNOON DELITE with this dog racing in the name of L.A.Grant. PAREORA JACK was tightened between runners into the bend losing ground. He finished sixth. MADAME JO JO (C Mitchell) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 30 September 2007. HOMEBUSH JANE (JT McInerney) scratched at Christchurch GRC on 30 August 2007. |
Race 12 | WILSONS SPORTS BAR & TAB SPRINT - C1 - 295 | NICKER TIME was tightened into the bend and checked THEMELO with both dogs losing ground and finishing well back. |
Race 13 | KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C1 - 520 | Into the first bend CYBER BLUE was checked when SAMUAL BAXTER improved around the outside. GROOVY SHOW, leading into the first bend, was checked from behind by SAMUAL BAXTER when attempting to run outwards. SAMUAL BAXTER and CYBER BLUE came together soon after with SAMUAL BAXTER losing all chance and finishing last. NEW SAGE was taken wide on the track but recovered to be fourth. while GROOVY SHOW dropped out to be sixth A post race veterinary check on BYE BYE HELEN revealed a torn nail with a seven day stand down recommended. Race 14 | FASHION THIEF @ STUD DASH - C3 - 295 | BLAZIN A TRAIL was slow to leave the boxes but recovered quickly to loop the field and win well. Into the straight KRISSY BALE checked off the heels of the leader BLAZIN A TRAIL and ran wide on the track before finishing third. |
Race 15 | LION FOUNDATION SPRINT - C5 - 295 | MIRACLE MAN was tightened into the bend losing many lengths and finishing last. |
Race 16 | INVIEW PRINT STAKES - C0 - 520 | JULIE'S LADY and CONSTABLE KEITH tangled into the first bend and lost ground. JULIE'S LADY was again checked soon after and dropped to the rear. Hot favourite WINSOME KATE was clear in the lead until the home turn when she appeared to falter finishing seventh. A post race veterinary check revealed a severe case of cramp and also a slight reoccurence of a hock injury with a ten day stand down recommended. WINSOME KATE (J&D Fahey) hock soreness and badly cramped left gracilus. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 13 September 2007. |
Race 17 | DAVE ROBBIE PHOTGRAPHER STAKES - C1 - 520 | COLDHARBOR tended to run outwards into the first bend tightening HONCHO and WINSOME DOSH with these two dogs both losing momentum. They both recovered well to be close up. ROBTITLE, JIN JU and HIDDEN SECRETS all tangled into the first bend losing ground. |
Race 18 | MURRAY @ RE/MAX PH 033715005 SPRINT - C2 - 295 | HEEZ BACK IN was last to jump from the inside but made ground well late for fourth. |
Race 19 | BILLS BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C1 - 295 | ELLE VOLI got into trouble when attempting to run outwards early in the race. Shortly after SOUTHERN MAN and NURSE RUBY tangled and went back through the field. All of these dogs finished well back. |
Race 20 | CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK STAKES - C4/5 - 520 | ULTIMATE LAD ran outwards sharply on the first bend bady interfering with TOMMY LEE WHISKY and WINSOME BLITZ. ULTIMATE LAD and TOMMY LEE WHISKY remained at the rear with WINSOME BLITZ doing well for third. |
