Judicial report: Weather: Overcast and cold RD Blackburn was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when TRENDY SON weighed in 1.5kgs over his last race start weight.
The hearing against J McCook, adjourned at Christchurch on 21 August 2007, was re convened. On the charge under Rule 88.1.o he was suspended from all race meetings for one month with effect 31 August 2007 and fined $400.00. $200.00 of the fine is payable immediately with the other $200.00 suspended subject to him completing an anger management course, and writing letters of apology to the complainant and the Christcurch GRC, all to be undertaken prior to 30 September 2007.

Race 1	ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C5 - 295	HOMEBUSH FITZY tightened DUWANNA HAND into the bend forcing that dog into the path of WHISKY LEE GIRL. Both sustained checks as did CRAZY HAND and TRENDY SON. These four finished at the rear with HOMEBUSH FITZY fourth.
Race 2	CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C0 - 520	Favourite KNOW WHEN was slow to jump, railed through on the first turn to get close to the lead, then ran out wide and lost ground before flying home in the straight to get up and win. BYE BYE HELEN was cramped for space in the run to the first turn, then was forced out wide when MR BONZALAS ran outwards and pushed ANOTHER CLOUD wide. BYE BYE HELEN and ANOTHER CLOUD filled the last two placings.
Race 3	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER SPRINT - C0 - 295	Into the bend ANNELIESE and PAREORA LASS tangled and came back on WHITE SPARTAN. While ANNELIESE recovered to run on for fourth the other two dogs finished towards the rear. LAURA BRAND missed the jump, ran wide on the track but fought on late to finish fifth.
Race 4	BARRON'S SUPPLIES DASH - C2 - 295	Into the bend HEAPS HECTIC and TRINITY TONIC came together with a resultant check to HOMEBUSH JENNA who went back on MIGHTY POWER. HOMEBUSH JENNA and MIGHTY POWER finished at the rear.
Race 5	JET PETS ANIMAL TRANSPORT DASH - C1 - 295	AINT NO ROYAL and NURSE RUBY were slow to leave the boxes. Soon after the start the favourite DANCE FOR DANNY was checked when AINT NO ROYAL and HOMEBUSH VEEJAY came together. DANCE FOR DANNY was checked again racing to the bend coming off the heels of the same two dogs. IS A HAND (SR Fagan) left front triceps sore. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. Vet Certificate supplied. Seven days up to an including 02/09/07.
Race 6	GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY STAKES - C1 - 520	In the first bend NIKOS PORSCHE ran off the rail and briefly tangled with CLAN CRUSADER, both dogs finishing at the rear.
Race 7	LAUNDRY XPRESS PH 385-4024 SPRINT - C0 - 295	Into the bend CATCH A DIVA checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH BOND with the result that MISS BAXTER climbed on the back of CATCH A DIVA. CATCH A DIVA recovered well to rail through to finish fourth.
Race 8	WILSONS SPORTS BAR & TAB DASH - C0 - 295	SMOOTH STRIDER was very slow to leave the boxes. Rounding the bend into the straight ELY BRAND, TOYA and SMOOTH STRIDER came together as a result they filled the last three placings.
Race 9	SHIRLEY TAB STAKES - C1 - 520	Into the first bend JACKPOT JACK ran in squeezing JIN JU and SABA JEWEL who both lost ground. SABA JEWEL then ran wide taking JACKPOT JACK wide on the track, both dogs losing all chance. SABA JEWEL (AC Roberts) bilateral groin soreness. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 3 September 2007.
Race 10	SCHULTZ PANEL & PAINT DASH - C0 - 295	Into the bend MURPHYS MISTAKE ran wide and settled back. Into the straight, while racing at the tail of the field MURPHYS MISTAKE came into contact with ZETA JONES. Toward the finish the winner LAGOON KATH hesitated twice and turned its head short of the line but held on to win. A charge under Rule 80.1.b. was preferred against LAGOON KATH. After hearing from the trainer's representative Jonathon McInerney and viewing the race film, the stewards found the charge proven with LAGOON KATH stood down for a period of 28 days. ROPE OF SAND (JM Jopson). was a late scratching with pyrexia and sudden weight loss. Vet Certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 1 September 2007. LAGOON KATH (JT McInerney) Rule 80.1.b. 28 days up to and including 24 September 2007 and to undertake a satisfactory trial.
Race 11	TUESDAY PLACE PICK SPRINT - C1 - 295	Into the bend CLAN PHOENIX checked off heels and ran wide. THRILLING EADIE who was in front steadied when headed but rallied again in the straight. Across the top CLAN PHOENIX ran out and contacted ZETA JONES. TURN THE CARD faultered soon after the start and finished last and was subject to a post race vet examination and found to have torn a left gracilus with a 28 day stand down recommended. TURN THE CARD (D Kingston) torn left gracilus insertion. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 24 September 2007.
Race 12	PUB CHARITY DASH - C3 - 295	Into the bend STOKER struck the hind quarters of ROCKY POCKETS who sustained a severe check and went down to the rail with resultant checks to HOMER HAND, CLAN ORA, GROOVY FINANCE and UTTER MADNESS.
Race 13	ADDINGTON FUNCTION CENTRE SPRINT - C2 - 295	WHATA YA KNOW was slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend OUTSIDE HOYTS was checked as WHATA YA KNOW improved along the rail drifting out as a result. OUTSIDE HOYTS finished last with WHATA YA KNOW sixth. DASH DOT DASH (GJ Hodson) left hind outside toenail lost. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 2 September 2007.
Race 14	WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM DASH - C1 - 295	MERCEDES HOPE drifted to last after the jump. Into the bend MULBERRY TRICK checked out off BEKA'S ROSE taking an improving MERCEDES HOPE wide on the track. Soon after OPEN FOR OFFERS was tightened by HOMEBUSH MAC. These dogs finished at the rear with BEKA'S ROSE and MERCEDES HOPE.
Race 15	CONTAINERS DIRECT INTERTRADE STAKES - C1 - 520	WE LOVE PRINCESS moved out into the first bend forcing CYBER QUEEN wide around the bend. These dogs filled the last two placings. CYBER QUEEN was subject to a vet examination and was found to have sustained a split right web with a 14 day stand down recommended. FLOJO FLYER (AC Roberts) right hip pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 2 September 2007. MOUNT RILEY (C Mitchell) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a cut right hind pad. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 2 September 2007. . CYBER QUEEN (LJ Waretini) split web right hind leg. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to an 10 September 2007. Race 16	DAVE EMERSON CONSULTANCY DASH - C1 - 295	Into the bend CHILE LOPEZ in improving around the field ran in and checked BERT BADGER. In running to the rail CHILE LOPEZ was clipped from behind by THEMELO both dogs suffering interference. HOMEBUSH LARKEN was also checked in this incident.
Race 17	NUTRI-ZING SPRINT - C3 - 295	Racing to the first bend when disputing the pace PARADISE ECHO was squuezed and dropped back checking HEEZ BACK with a resultant check to EMULATE. CLAN MISTY (HG Cairns) right gracilus tear. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days days up to and including 15 September 2007. KNOW BETTER (GA Cleeve) right fore dew claw laceration. Dog presented. Veterinary cetificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 31 August 2007.
Race 18	SBS BANKING STAKES - C2 - 520	All clear. TRINITY THUNDA (Freeman/Hammond) shoulder soreness. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 1 September 2007.
Race 19	MURRAY @ RE/MAX PH 033715005 DASH - C4 - 295	TRENDY MOMENT, NICCA NOTCH, THRILLING FALCON and RUDI JEWEL came together ihnto the bend losing all chance.
Race 20	CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C3/4 - 520	ULTIMATE LAD, MCCRACKENS BOY, BOATSWAIN WALLY nad HOLA CHICA came togther into the first bend losing ground. They filled the last four placings.
