Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer DL Annette was given a first and final warning under Rule 70.6.b in regards to the bedding of her dog BIGTIME DANCER in the kennels.

Race 1 LECTRO HAIR & BEAUTY STAKES - C0 - 527 POSSUM BORN was slow to begin. POSSUM BORN after being slow to begin was checked slightly by KIRSTEN DEAL when this runner ran inwards after the start. As the field raced down the back straight THILLING CHESS had to check off the heels of SAMS RENEGADE and lost several lengths. A post race veterinary check on THRILLING CHESS revealed no injury. SUNSET ULTRA (Jensen/Ramsay) was a late scratching at kennelling with lethargy, fever and a cough. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 4 September 2007.
Race 2 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING SPRINT - C2 - 318 In the run to the first turn KEROMA SAFARI and CAWBOURNE BOBBY came together and jostled with each other for several strides. CAWBOURNE BOBBY finally had to check back and was denied clear racing room finishing in third place. Into the turn out of the back straight BIG ARCHIE had to check off the heels of MAXINE'S BEAUTY and dropped back sharply finishing in last place. A post race veterinary check on BIG ARCHIE revealed a split webb with a twenty one day stand down recommended. BIG ARCHIE (K Sutch-Jones) left fore digit split webb. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 15 September 2007.
Race 3 THERMOPEUTIC PRODUCTS SPRINT - C1 - 318 DISTINCTLY ROYS was slow to jump settling last. He ran on for fourth along the inner. Into the bend AGENT VICKI and ROSETTA tangled. RICONIAK was in behind them and couldn't avoid these dogs running outwards and badly hampering STREET TALL. These dogs all lost chances and filled the last four placings.
Race 4 TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT - C3/4 - 318 The winner RESERVE DECISION drifted outwards on the home bend but once straightened went strongly to the line to win. Shortly after the finish SOPRANO SOLDIER fell when tightened by other dogs. A post race veterinary check revealed grazes and lacerations to the back paws with a ten day stand down recommended. A post race veterinary check was also carried out on BLACK BOOK which revealed lacerations to his back toes with a ten day stand down recommended. DREAM ON CYRUS (K Sutch-Jones) starter in Race 9 (Feature Race) ASHBOURNE FALCON (M McFarlane) stood down at Cambridge 23 August 2007. SOPRANO SOLDIER (SP Clark) grazes and lacerations to back paws. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 4 September 2007. BLACK BOOK (GA Lawrence) lacerations to back toes. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 4 September 2007.
Race 5 THORNTON AUCTIONS STAKES - C1 - 527 HOME LOAN BLUES was the last to jump by three lengths. Into the first bend TIS GRAND came off the fence checking CLOSE COMBAT for a few strides. Shortly afterwards CLOSE COMBAT again received interference as THRILLING ROMEO moved outwards. CLOSE COMBAT ran on for third. In the back straight THRILLING SWAY received a check and lost ground finishing at the rear. ELECTROSTATIC (JR Nixon) infectious wart on pad. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 3 September 2007.
Race 6 RODEWALD HART BROWN SPRINT - C5 - 318 NEW CLEAR POWER was very slow to jump losing five lengths. He did well to finish third. STACEY'S WAY and THRILLING PIRATE tangled into the first bend with STACEY'S WAY running outwards checking THRILLING OLLIE and EXPRESS SOLDIER who lost their chances. Soon after the jump THRILLING PIRATE eased and looked outwards. The dog was also inclined to hang outwards around the bend inconveniencing SURE TED with that runner losing his chance. Following the race a veterinary check on THRILLING PIRATE was ordered under Rule 80.2. The dog was found to have a left infraspinatus muscle strain. Accordingly under Rule 80.5 THRILLING PIRATE was stood down for twenty one days and must undertake a satisfactory trial. CANYA SEE ME (DD Schofield) laryngeal sublutanous emphysema. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 28 days up to and including 22 September 2007. THRILLING PIRATE (N Udy) left infraspinatus muscle strain. Rule 80.5. 21 days up to and including 15 September 2007. Also must undertake a satisfactory trial.
Race 7 CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C1 - 318 THRILLING AJAY proved very hard to box for trainer S Le Roux. After consultation with the stewards it was decided to box THRILLING AJAY first at its next start under Rule 72.10. Tightening into the bend caused EDDIE TOMCAT to be checked with BIGTIME DANCER falling and TIODI and THAT BLOKE losing all chance in the race. Post race veterinary checks on BIGTIME DANCER and TIODI revealed a head injury for BIGTIME DANCER with a fourteen day stand down recommended. TIODI was cleared of injury. BIGTIME DANCER (DL Annette) head injury after fall. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 8 September 2007.
Race 8 PELORUS TRUST STAKES - C4/5 - 527 SLINGBACK was slow to jump and then was tightened into the first bend by MY CHARLSTON. JOHNNY was also interfered with in this incident. These three dogs were the last three home. On the first bend PADDY FLYIN' checked outwards off MY CHARLSTON and pushed STAMPEDE wide. These two dogs made ground for fourth and third respectively.
Race 9 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT FEATURE - C4 - 318 Favourite SYDENHAM SMITH was a shade slow and then held up into the bend never finding racing room until late finishing last. A post race veterinary check revealed a lame left fore leg and pain in its right elbow with a ten day stand down recommended. COMICAL ALI (GJ Noakes) left fore bicipital tendonitis. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 6 September 2007. SYDENHAM SMITH (SP Clark) lame left fore and pain in elbow and right abdominal muscle. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 4 September 2007.
Race 10 ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6 PACK STAKES - C2/3 - 527 EL DOO was a shade slow then tightened in the run to the first bend. He remained well back all the way.
