Race 1	METEOR PRINTERS - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH JENNA ran in from the start and checked HOMEBUSH ROWAN, KARL BAXTER and SPACE HOPPER. KARL BAXTER stepped over the heels of HOMEBUSH MAC on the home turn and moved out bumping SPACE HOPPER who was pushed wide.
Race 2	RUSHIRE - C0 - 305	FIVE ACROSS ran out from the start and checked CAWBOURNE SHOW for a couple of strides. CAWBOURNE SHOW galloped on the heels of WHISPERING HOME on the bend causing a check to that runner who lost all chance of a placing. BIGTIME ROYALE was also affected in the incident and lost ground.
Race 3	KEENAN CONCRETE - C1 - 520	NEW SAGE and HOMEBUSH ABEL were checked entering the final bend, went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. ROSE OF TARLEE J.McInerney Rule 64 Suffering from a shoulder injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 22.08.07.
Race 4	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C2/3 - 520	LIGHTNING STRIKES was checked soon after the start and was last into the first corner but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. FIFI THE GENIUS was handy to the first corner but was checked and lost ground and only battled from there to finish in 5th place. COMANCHE BRAVE B.Melville Rule 64 Suffering from a lumbar muscle injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 12.09.07.
Race 5	GUTHRIE BOWRON - C2/3 - 305	JEN'S LASS was handy to the first corner but was galloped on by PRAISE who dropped back checking HOMEBUSH MAX and all three lost ground and finished in the last three places.
Race 6	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR WANGANUI STAYERS FINAL - C2df - 755	EXCUSED was checked soon after the start and settled well back but made ground well to finish a close 3rd. One of the favourites KOSTYA BALE trailed the leader throughout but raced a little wide and faded over the final stages to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 7	DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C4/5 - 305	JAMES BEE, who was well supported was jostled for several strides soon after the start and then had to check off the heels of another runner on the first corner, ran a little wide and finished in last place.
Race 8	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C2/3 - 305	All clear.
