Race 1 | ADVANCE PERFORMANCE STAKES - C1 - 520 | MOUNT RILEY jumped inward at the start and checked HIDDEN SECRET who was at the tail of the field throughout and finished last. Into the first turn GROOVY EYE got on heels of the runner in front and clipped TRENDY GUY in the back straight before being held up on the point of the turn. Into the straight GROOVY EYE and TRENDY GUY came together before GROOVY EYE finished on strongly for third. TRENDY GUYdropped out to finish second last. HOMEBUSH FAIR (JT McInerney). Late scratching. Rule 68.26. VC supplied. Dehydrated and dull. Seven days up to and including 13/08/07. |
Race 2 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP DASH - C0 - 295 | In the first bend GOLD QUIZ and TOYA tangled with Toya drifting out. WHIPOCHET ran wide on the bend checking MUM'S REFLECTION, BOY GENIUS and HOMEBUSH ALIDA. Into the straight WHIPOCHET ran wide and finished well back. TOYA and BONDI BRINDI were subject to post race veterinary checks. Neither WAs found to have sustained injury. |
Race 3 | TUESDAY PLACE PICK SPRINT - C1 - 295 | Into the first bend the favourite DAPTO GLOSS was tightened and checked when HOMEBUSH JENNA came across from the outside box. As a result HOMEBUSH VEEJAY, BEKA'S ROSE, CLAN CRUSADER and OPEN FOR OFFERS suffered checks and finished at the tail of the field. CLAN CRUSADER drifted at the jump and finished back.into the bend BAXTER LEE (JT McInerney). Rule 64.12. Right hock pain. VC supplied. Ten days up to and including 15/08/07. |
Race 4 | LAUNDRY XPRESS PH 385-4024 STAKES - C0 - 520 | Soon after the jump CATCH ME OVER on the inner moved out and came into contact with JULIE'S LADY. Into the first bend GROOVY BAND the favourite who had bee a stride slow at the jump, came into contact with WILLIE DEE. Shortly afterward JULIE'S LADY ran out and pushed GROOVY BAND and WILLIE DEE wider on the track. |
Race 5 | DANNY MILLWARD PLASTERING SPRINT - C0 - 295 | Soon after the start BIG DADDY BAXTER ran in and checked BREENY'S GIRL with both dogs losing their chance TIZZY LEE BUCKET was subject to a post race veterinary check and was found to have sustained a left shoulder triceps tear with a 21 day stand down reccommended. TIZZY LEE BUCKET (RD Blackburn). Rule 82.1. Suffered a left shoulder triceps tear. Stood down for 21 days up to an including 27/08/07. |
Race 6 | MURRAY @ REMAX PH 03-371-5005 DASH - C1 - 295 | When vying for the lead TORQUE TRENDY moved out contacted TURN THE CARD. TURN THE CARD went back but recovered to run fourth. As a result of this interference BOUNCEN BLITZEM who had been very slow out of the boxes and NICKER TIME were forced wide on the track losing their chance. |
Race 7 | ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C1 - 295 | Soon after the start MUPPET MAN, improving around the outside moved in with resultant tightening to DANCING FOR GOLD, KIM BAXTER and THELMO. THELMO recovered to run on and finish fourth. Into the first bend MIGHTY POWER, when disputing the pace got on the heels of HOMER HAND as he when to the lead, checked and ran wide losing all chance. |
Race 8 | SOUTHERN TRUST STAKES - C1 - 520 | Soon after the start FIRM OFFER ran to the rail and checked MIDNIGHT TEMPER, BERT BADGER WHO finished back and SALLY BAXTER who recovered to finish fourth. Leaving the straight for the first time MIDNIGHT TEMPER ran out taking BERT BADGER wide on the track. |
Race 9 | APACHE LODGE SPRINT - C1 - 295 | Into the bend LEA BAXTER clipped the heels of the leader TWISTER SISTER with WHATA DILEMA forced wide on the track. While racing at the tail of the field KIWI YOUNG, NURSE RUBY and MERCEDES HOPE tangled. RUGBY NURSE recovered to run on strongly for second, MERCEDES HOPE FOURTH while the favourite KIWI YOUNG lost all chance. |
Race 10 | CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C2/3 - 520 | Into the first bend TOMAHAWK DOWN, racing three back on the fence, checked out off the heels of PARADISE ECHO, colliding with TESTBALE. Both sustained bad checks losing all chance finish near the rear. Into the home straight MURRINGO BALE, when in third place fractured a right hock, veterinarian recommended a 28 day standdown.
