Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when HOMEBUSH PHOEBE weighed in 1.3kgs under her last race weight.
Trainers were reminded of their obligations in regards to the kennelling of their dogs by the prescribed time.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned in relation to the late scratching of RICHFIELD REASON in Race 10.

Race 1	PATS GARAGE SPRINT - C1 - 318	TAMAKI GIRL ran outwards soon after the jump causing MONTECITO and MISDAMENA to be checked and lose ground. These dogs all finished beyond midfield. ROSETTA ran outwards on the home turn causing ANNIES BRAT to be forced over extra ground. ANNIES BRAT came home quickly for his second with ROSETTA weakening to fourth.
Race 2	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C3/4 - 318	HOMEBUSH PHOEBE was slow away and remained last throughout. Into the bend HUNKASPUNK came off the rails taking the line of FULL OF FLARE with both dogs taking a spectacular tumble. GOT HOPE was also checked badly in this incident. Post race veterinary checks on the fallen dogs revealed a spike wound for HUNKASPUNK and a bruised and grazed ischium for FULL OF FLARE with ten day stand downs recommended for each dog. RESERVE DECISION (NP Green) was a late scratching with a split web. Rule 68.26. 12 days up to and including 19 July 2007. FULL OF FLARE (GR Farrell) lacerations and grazing to left ischium. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 July 2007. HUNKASPUNK (LJ Nixon) spike wound under tail requiring sutures. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 July 2007.
Race 3	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING STAKES - C5 - 527	DRILLING DAM was the slowest to jump settling last before making ground for fifth placing.
Race 4	PELORUS TRUST CLASSIC - C1/2df - 603	ANGEL OF HARLEM went wide into the first bend taking ROMANO REASON over extra ground. Both dogs lost ground and remained at the rear throughout.
Race 5	THE PHOENIX STAKES - C1 - 527	The favourite THRILLING SWAY was inconvenienced for some distance as COMMON ERROR tried to get to the rails. Both dogs lost ground and finished towards the rear. A post race veterinary check revealed a grazed pad with a ten day stand down recommended. BIGTIME DANCER (DL Annette) right fore abductor muscle strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 9 July 2007. THRILLING SWAY (GA Lawrence) left hind main pad graze. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 July 2007.
Race 6	NZ SIRES PRODUCE STAKES - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 527 Heat 1	This race was delayed by three minutes due to the late running of a prior galloping event. KAIMAI BELLE was very slow to jump but made ground well to finish third. TIGGER FOOT ran outwards on the first bend taking GOLD FOOT and SMART MIDDY out with her with these dogs having their chances extinguished. Post race veterinary checks on SMART MIDDY and SMART WAVES revealed grazed pads for both dogs with ten day stand downs recommended. SMART WAVES (CJ Derecourt) left back main pad graze. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 July 2007. SMART MIDDY (R Casey) left back main pad graze. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 July 2007.
Race 7	LIVESPORTSBAR.COM SPRINT - C5 - 318	COMICAL ALI and FANCY BONNIE both received checks when racing towards the rear into the bend and never improved.
Race 8	NZ SIRES PRODUCE STAKES - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 527 Heat 1	AWESOME FOOT ran in sharply at the jump taking the line of RIALTO ROSIE for some strides. Shortly after NERVOUS WAVE also ran inwards with AWESOME FOOT and RIALTO ROSIE both being inconvenienced. On the first turn REPEAT OFFENDER and COASTERZAM tangled with COASTERZAM losing a few lengths at this stage. At the same time RIALTO ROSIE went wide around that bend causing a bad check to be received by HOMEBUSH THORN which slipped around the bend and lost its chance. Just prior to the home turn a weakening RAINBOW CREEK was checked by an improving RIALTO ROSIE with the former dropping out to finish last.
Race 9	HOWICK DARTS CLUB SPRINT - C2 - 318	All clear.
Race 10	THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6PAK STAKES - C2/3 - 527	SAN SHIN attempted to run outwards into the first bend causing some inconvenience to dogs on its outer. RICHFIELD REASON (BDF Craik) was a late scratching under Rule 64.17.(e) (ii). No stand down.
