Judicial report: Weather: Overcast with occasional heavy rain Trainer MH Knight was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when MANATEK WEST weighed in 1.5kgs below his last race weight.
Trainer G Calverley was given a final warning in regards to having his cellphone turned on when on the track.

Race 1 PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS SPRINT - C0 - 318 TARA LILLY jumped well and crossed towards the rails tightening TIGGER FOOT, AGENT VICKI and OUR SPRING in the process. TARA LILLY couldn't get to the rail as the eventual winner THAT BLOKE pushed up along the inside to keep her out. She battled on to finish fourth. OUR SPRING was checked by AGENT VICKI across the top when both dogs were at the rear. Favourite THRILLING SKITZ was a shade slow and then held up for a run until the home straight. When in the clear she ran on well for her second placing.
Race 2 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL SPRINT - C5 - 318 DRILLING DAM was the slowest to jump and remained well back throughout. SMART WAVES was squeezed racing into the bend and lost ground, tangling with SUISSA as it drifted. On the home turn SUISSA ran out sharply checking DREAM ON CYRUS who lost ground and finished towards the rear. Favourite AZTEC KEROMA suffered a similar fate to its kennelmate in the previous event, having little racing room until the home straight and finishing fast for her second placing.
Race 3 ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6PAK STAKES - C3/4 - 527 COCKNY CODE was, as usual, very slow to jump and tailed off early. He made up some ground in the run home although still finishing last. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 4 NZ COMMUNITY TRUST SPRINT - C4 - 318 WHO NOSE received a check when racing outside BRONX APPEAL into the bend and lost ground. BIGTIME SNOWIE was pushed wide in this incident with these two dogs finishing well back. NUTTY SQUIRREL and WILL ZAM tangled on the home turn when racing midfield. A post race veterinary check on NUTTY SQUIRREL revealed a deep spike wound on his right thigh with a ten day stand down recommended. NUTTY SQUIRREL (A Cleaver) deep spike wound on right thigh. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 16 June 2007.
Race 5 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C0 - 318 SERGEANT SCREAM was the slowest to jump. BIGTIME TEDDY received a check when in tight quarters into the bend with SERGEANT SCREAM and OUR SMUDGE being forced wide as a result. These two dogs finished well back with BIGTIME TEDDY recovering to finish second.
Race 6 THERMAPEUTIC STAKES - C1 - 527 MISDAMENA was tightened into the first bend and shortly after received a check from ELLE VIRUS losing ground.
Race 7 CHILLI'S R & B SPRINT - C1 - 318 GOLD FOOT was tightened into the bend losing ground. Shortly after this GOLD FOOT was again in the wars when TRENDY JILL ran outwards sharply on the home turn cannoning into her with both dogs losing their chances. A post race veterinary check on GOLD FOOT revealed no injury. THRILLING AUDI (N Udy) strained right hamstring and biceps muscles. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 15 June 2007.
Race 8 CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C2 - 318 Soon after the jump SUITABILITY ran outwards from its inside draw checking BULLET BLUE and MUSIC LESSON. Soon after MUSIC LESSON was again checked as MRS GOODLEY ran outwards tangling with her. All of these dogs finished out of the money. BEST PLACE (GN Pomeroy) swollen left hind metatarsus. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 15 June 2007.
Race 9 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C2 - 527 ANDREW THE BRAVE was slow to jump from the inside but recovered quickly and finished well for its third placing. On the home turn ROYAL TAP ran outwards taking the line of SAN SHIN with both dogs finishing at the rear.
Race 10 'WE RACE SUNDAY 10TH JUNE' SPRINT - C3 - 318 AWESOME FOOT was the last to jump settling back and finishing on for fourth. The two favourites and kennelmates BRIGHT CONQUEST and FANCY LINE tangled when contesting the lead on the bend with both dogs losing ground allowing the inside runners to get the advantage in the race. BRIGHT CONQUEST and FANCY LINE both finished well back. POSITIVE FORCE also received some backwash as a result and finished last.
