| Race 1 | JACK'S WHOLESALE MEAT SPRINT FINAL - C0f - 318 | TIGGER FOOT began well from its inside draw but attempted to run outwards soon after. This caused it and TIODI to tangle for some distance with both dogs dropping to the rear where they remained. |
| Race 2 | PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS STAKES - C0 - 527 | Permission was granted for SERGEANT SCREAM to be boxed first under Rule 72.10. HOME LOAN BLUES missed the jump by three lengths. BLUE DENIM jumped first but ran wide into the first bend. When attempting to run back down to the rail he checked off runners on his inner and lost ground finishing well back. INTENTION KNOWN was tightened and went down on its nose into the first bend. She recovered to run fifth. Across the top the leader THRILLING POLAR ran outwards inconveniencing ANNIES BRAT for a few strides. ANNIES BRAT then switched to the rails but could not overhaul THRILLING POLAR running second. RIDDLE INN (P Chouinard) right deltoid strain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 28 May 2007. THRILLING RIP (N Udy) stood down at Wellington GRC on 16 May 2007. | Race 3 | BELLBIRD ARMS 8 BALL CLUB SPRINT - C3 - 318 | ELLA LEE was slow settling last. She ran on for fourth. At the end of the back straight GOT HOPE was crossed and checked by an improving RIALTO MISSION. He appeared to hit the running rail and lose ground. LADY BRIANA could not avoid GOT HOPE and fell at this point not finishing the race. BIGTIME SNOWIE was forced wide around these dogs and lost his chance in the race. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on LADY BRIANA and GOT HOPE. LADY BRIANA suffered a broken leg and was euthanased on humane grounds with GOT HOPE suffering from a left fore carpal sprain with a ten day stand down recommended. BIG ARCHIE (K Sutch-Jones) injured left gluteal muscle. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 28 May 2007. LADY BRIANA (BDF Craik) broken leg. Euthanased. GOT HOPE (A Cleaver) left fore carpal sprain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 29 May 2007. |
| Race 4 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL STAKES FEATURE - C2 - 527 | SUITABILITY was the slowest away remaining well back throughout. THRILLING ROCCO was tightened into the first bend and tangled with UNZIPPED on its outside. These dogs both finished midfield. A post race veterinary check on UNZIPPED revealed interdigital grazing with a four day stand down recommended. BIGTIME JENNY (GR Farrell) starter in Race 8 UNZIPPED (D Van Meeuwen) interdigital graze. Rule 82.1. 4 days up to and including 23 May 2007. |
| Race 5 | CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C2 - 318 | NEW CLEAR POWER was the slowest to jump. Into the bend BLACK ELLY ran inwards tightening FANCY LINE and SUPER DEAL. Shortly after this SUPER DEAL ran outwards with BLACK ELLY, NEW CLEAR POWER, BULLET BLUE and BARRAMUNDI FLEX all losing ground. Meanwhile BRIGHT CONQUEST had distanced the field creating a new class record in the process. |
| Race 6 | MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C1 - 527 | Favourite COOL HEART ambled out of the boxes settling last. Into the first bend RYANS THUNDER checked outwards pushing KAIMAI BELLE wider around the bend. COOL HEART was unable to avoid these dogs and fell. Shortly after RIALTO ROSIE was tightened and lost ground. KAIMAI BELLE and RIALTO ROSIE did well to run into the minor placings with COOL HEART regaining his feet and completing the race. A post race veterinary check on COOL HEART revealed lameness in its left hind leg and tender wrists with a ten day stand down recommended. BOLD JENNI (MJ Lozell) stood down at Waikato and Districts GRC on 17 May 2007. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 23 May 2007. SATSUMA (GA Lawrence) high temperature and abdominal pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 29 May 2007. THRILLING SWAY (N Udy) right carpal and left gracilus strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 26 May 2007. COOL HEART (K Walsh) lame left leg and tender wrists. Rule 82.1 10 days up to and including 29 May 2007. |
| Race 7 | BRIAN MCKINNON TRIBUTE - C4/5 - 318 | THRILLING OLLIE was tightened into the first bend losing ground. Shortly after JOHNNY was checked when TIME OVER BOOTS ran outwards on the bend. These dogs all finished midfield although not that far from the placings. KYLIE'S DILEMA (SP Clark) stood down at Wellington GRC on 16 May 2007. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 25 May 2007. DREAM ON CYRUS (K Sutch-Jones) nail infection. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 4 days up to and including 22 May 2007. |
| Race 8 | COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DISTANCE FEATURE - C1/2d - 603 | On the home turn WARNIE and CHEEKY BONNIE tangled when racing at the rear. A post race veterinary check on WARNIE revealed a puncture wound and haematoma to its face with a six day stand down recommended. CAWBOURNE BARON (DD Schofield) stood down at Wanganui 18 May 2007. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 22 May 2007. WARNIE (SP Clark) puncture wound and haematoma to face. Rule 82.1. 6 days up to and including 25 May 2007. |
