Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer BDF Craik was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when NANCY'S WISH weighed in 1.2 kgs over her last race weight.

Race 1 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ SPRINT - C0 - 318 SERGEANT SCREAM stumbled out of the boxes settling last. He took advantage of a melee further out on the track to rail through on the turn and battled well for his fourth placing. CREEK DIAMOND led in to the bend until the winner RAINBOW CREEK crossed it from wide out. This caused CREEK DIAMOND to check and lose ground. On the home turn BIGTIME TEDDY checked outwards off EMMA HONCHO pushing CREEK DIAMOND, HOME LOAN BLUES and THAT BLOKE wider on the track. Of these dogs HOME LOAN BLUES made good ground late for its second placing. Shortly after the finish THAT BLOKE ran inwards coming into contact with CREEK DIAMOND and fell. A post race veterinary check on THAT BLOKE revealed bilateral hip pain and minor lacerations with a ten day stand down recommended. THRILLING RANGER (N Udy) torn right fore webbing. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 18 days up to and including 28 May 2007. THAT BLOKE (A Cleaver) bilateral hip pain and minor lacerations. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 22 May 2007.
Race 2 RODEWALD HART BROWN SPRINT - C3 - 318 This race was`delayed by one minute at the request of raceday control. LADY BRIANNA ran outwards into the bend checking NANCY'S WISH with RIALTO MISSION also being affected. These dogs lost their chances and filled the last three placings. A post race veterinary check on ORIGIN TEDDY revealed a spike wound with a five day stand down recommended. ORIGIN TEDDY (G Calverley) spike wound. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 17 May 2007.
Race 3 PELORUS TRUST DISTANCE FEATURE - C1d - 603 An application was made to the Stewards under Rule 82.5.a in respect of RICHFIELD REASON which had been stood down at the Auckland GRC meeting on 6 May 2007. The application was approved and RICHFIELD REASON was passed fit to start with the stand down being rescinded. The winner MOCHACCINO jumped best from its outside box and crossed to lead causing tightening to MASSACHUSETTS, THRILLING GUY and the favourite THRILLING RED. BIGTIME JENNY was pushed wide in this incident. Of these dogs THRILLING GUY recoved to run on for third with the other dogs well back although THRILLING RED made up ground late in the piece.
Race 4 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS STAKES - C1 - 527 ANDREW THE BRAVE and TOKEN ENFORCER were both slow to jump and remained well back for the journey. KINDA SHY and KAIMAI BELLE tangled into the first bend with the favourite THRILLING SYD being tightened as a result. KAIMAI BELLE recovered to run third with the other dogs well back. THRILLING SWIFT (N Udy) right quadricep sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 25 May 2007.
Race 5 CAROL'S TABS' SPRINT - C1/2 - 318 SUITABILITY was tightened into the bend losing ground before running on again for fourth. Shortly after TRASIT received a bad check when attempting to improve around the outside losing ground and its chance. MISS MACSTEELE (GB Darcy) muscle tie up. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 20 May 2007.
Race 6 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DISTANCE FEATURE - C0d - 603 COMMON ERROR was slow from its inside box settling last. He finished on fairly for fifth but quite some way from the runaway winner MICRO BENNY who won the race in class record time.
Race 7 'ON THE BUNNY' SPRINT - C5 - 318 In a keenly contested race to the first bend favourite KYLIE'S DILEMA and WHO NOSE tangled while wider out STATELY CONQUEST and TIME OVER BOOTS also came together. These dogs all lose their chances as a result of these incidents. A post race veterinary check of WHO NOSE revealed a split web with a ten day stand down recommended. ZAC ATTACK (MJ Lozell) minor toe sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 4 days up to and including 13 May 2007. WHO NOSE (GN Pomeroy) split left hind web. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 22 May 2007.
Race 8 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C2/3 - 527 BARRAMUNDI FLEX checked off the heels of KAIMAI GOLD down the back straight with REMO BLASTER being pushed wide as a result. These two checked dogs tailed the field home. THRILLING HUBBA (GR Farrell) dislocated toe. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 21 May 2007.
Race 9 OXYSHOT NEW ZEALAND SPRINT FEATURE - C1 - 318 Favourite FANCY LINE checked off the heels of the pacemaking winner BLACK ELLY into the bend losing a couple of lengths. Once balanced again he ran on strongly for his second placing. OUR DELTA ran wide into that bend causing ROSETTA and DISTINCTLY ROYS to be shunted even wider. These dogs filled the last three placings. BLUE SOLDIER (SP Clark) right hand biceps and left front shoulder soreness. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 20 May 2007. KAPAI ROCO (KL Fairbrother) trainer suspected dog had eaten chocolate. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 4 days up to and including 14 May 2007.
Race 10 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6PAK STAKES - C4/5 - 527 KILLER TOUCH and DRILLING DAM were both slow to jump. KILLER TOUCH made ground for fourth with DRILLING DAM remaining at the rear.
