Judicial report: Weather: Fine The inquiry into the late scratching of TURBO'S RETURN (GA Cleeve) at the Christchurch GRC meeting on 4 May 2007 was reconvened. Trainer CLEEVE was charged with a breach of Rule 64.1. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and after hearing evidence from kennel steward S WIGLEY, the club secretary T MUSIC and CLEEVE himself, the charge was found proven. In view of the mitigating circumstances surrounding the scratching as presnted by CLEEVE, that was taken into account and a $50.00 fine imposed.
The inquiry into the conduct of lure driver P KNOWLES under Rule 88.1.f. was reconvened. After hearing evidence from both KNOWLES and Steward P.Harper the charge was proven and a fine of $200.00 imposed.
Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 on each charge for two breaches of Rule 69.11 when both SPECIAL SAGE and VULCAN EARL weighed in 1.2kgs under their last race weights.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C5 - 295 GOOD GRACIOUS ME ran out on the turn and pushed HOMEBUSH PHIL and SYDNEY HAVOC wide, with these dogs filling the last three placings.
Race 2 BARRIE GURDLER SAND SUPPLIES DASH - C2 - 295 Favourite ROCKY POCKETS was tardy from the jump, but got up on the line to beat SILVER CITY which had jumped to an early lead but faded in the run home to finish third. BARDO'S ANGEL ran out wide on the turn and lost ground but ran on fairly for fourth. HEAPS HECTIC (MM Grant) left fore toes broken. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 3 June 2007.
Race 3 CONTAINERMAN SPRINT - C2 - 295 Into the turn HOMEBUSH JOCK was pushed back when OHOKA FLIRT crossed over to the inside, and finished well back in the field. IMA LLOYDIE also received a check, tangled with SILVER CRISIS, and lost ground to finish in last placing. CLAN MISTY (HG Cairns) right triceps pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 4 SUPER PETS STAKES - C1 - 520 All clear. COUGARS CRUZIN (C Mitchell) scratched at Christchurch GRC meeting on 4 May 2007. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 May 2007.
Race 5 SCHULTZ PANEL & PAINT DASH - C0 - 295 In the run to the turn BLACK INN BRAVE ducked to the inside and clipped the running rail. KNOW CENTS climbed into the rear quarters of BLACK INN BRAVE and went backwards. Both dogs finished at the rear of the field. BLACK INN BRAVE was subject to a post race veterinary check which showed no injury. PROPHETS FLIGHT (RD Blackburn) was a late scratching at kennelling after having sustained a serious leg injury while in the trainer's van. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 21 days up to and including 28 May 2007.
Race 6 FLAIR STAKES - HEAT 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1 Favourite GROOVY SHOT was tightened in the run to the first turn and lost ground, but came home strongly in the final straight to get up for second to the runaway leader FIFI THE GENIUS.
Race 7 WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM DASH - C1 - 295 In the run to the turn STARDOE struck the rear quarters of CLAN MCINERNEY and then hit the running rail and fell heavily taking no further competitive part in the race. A post race veterinary check showed that STARDOE had torn skin on the right shoulder requiring stitches, and a 10 day stand down was recommended. STARDOE (WJ Cairns) torn skin right shoulder. Race 8 FLAIR STAKES - HEAT 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 1 Favourite GROOVY EYE and NASSIRAY JEWEL were both slow to jump. On the first turn CHILE MAID was checked by TURN THE CARD which was pushed wide and checked the running of GROOVY EYE. The favourite recovered well to finish on strongly and win. In the back straight DAPTO GLOSS clipped the rear of QUICK LAUGH with both dogs finishing back in midfield.
Race 9 DAVE EMERSON CONSULTANCY SPRINT - C1 - 295 MIGHTY POWER and OUTSIDE HOYTS tangled soon after the jump and settled at the rear. Into the bend NURSE RUBY ran out and checked CLAN MARY LOU with these dogs losing all chance and finishing well back.
Race 10 CELTIC ARMS DASH - C2 - 295 Into the turn MADAME JO JO ran out and clipped the early leader CLAN ORA and checked the running of OUT COLD. Whilst OUT COLD recovered to finish on for third the other two dogs finished well back in the field.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK STAKES - C4/5 - 520 SPECIAL SAGE and GELIGNITE were slow to jump, settled at the rear of the field and were well back into the home straight but flew home late to fill the second and third placings.
Race 12 NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN SPRINT FINAL - C0f - 295 All clear.
Race 13 $8 ON-COURSE ROAST & REFRESHMENT DASH - C4 - 295 Across the top the favourite MISSING FERN clipped BURSTING OUT'S hindquarters both losing ground to finish towards the rear.
Race 14 CAROLS TAB STAKES - C1 - 520 On the turn GRANT A DREAM checked off HOMEBUSH BIGSHOW and in turn checked the running of MICK BAXTER and TIME FAULTS. HOMEBUSH BIGSHOW ran on fairly for third while the other three dogs finished well back.
Race 15 MURRAY AT REMAX PH 033715005 DASH - C2/3 - 295 WHATA DUDE was slow to trap and tangled with HEEZ BACK IN soon after. On the turn JESSIE BLUE climbed into the rear of PRAISE BE with both dogs losing any chances. All four dogs finished in the back half of the field. BLAZIN A TRAIL (C Mitchell) was a late scratching at kennelling with a left fore flexor tendon sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 17 May 2007.
Race 16 POWER FARMING STAKES - C3/4 - 520 All clear. ORPHAN ASSASSIN (GA Cleeve) stood down at Christchurch GRC meeting on 4 May 2007. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 17 May 2007. SANDAVE (AD Williams) left hind spider bite. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 15 May 2007.
Race 17 BARRONS SUPPLIES SPRINT - C2/3 - 295 Into the turn IN YOUR FACE checked off the rear of HOMEBUSH WHO and was pushed sideways into the path of MICRO LITE with both dogs losing ground to finish towards the rear. Favourite TRENDY SON was slow to jump, was cramped for room into the turn and was then pushed back by the retreating MICRO LITE and never recovered finishing sixth. HOMEBUSH BELLA (JT McInerney) cut to right hind pad. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 17 May 2007.
Race 18 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY STAKES - C2 - 520 All clear.
Race 19 SHIRLEY VETERINARY SPRINT - C4 - 295 In the run to the turn LAGOON LADY was queezed up, lost ground but ran on fairly for fourth. HOMEBUSH GABBY (JT McInerney) stood down at Christchurch GRC meeting on 4 May 2007. Rule 82.1. 20 days up to and including 23 May 2007. DELS DELIGHT (JT McInerney) left wrist pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 16 May 2007.
Race 20 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C3 - 520 All clear. FORCEFUL HABIT (MM Grant) was a late scratching at kennelling when found to have an elevated temperature. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 12 May 2007.
