Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer GA Lawrence was warned in respect to providing a catcher for ANNIES BRAT in Race 2.
Starter G Sharp was questioned after failing to set the starting mechanism prior to Race 7. His expanation was accepted and he was given a warning in this instance.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned under Rule 64.2 into the late scratching of TEE SHIRT (GA Lawrence)

Race 1 WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE SPRINT - C1/2 - 375 BULLET BLUE ran inwards soon after the jump inconveniencing ELITE PARADISE, BEST PLACE and HOMEBUSH LEE on her inner. SAN SHIN ran outwards into the bend checking MUSIC LESSON with HOMEBUSH LEE receiving the backwash and dropping to the rear.
Race 2 MATANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 375 ANNIES BRAT and APPLEGATE were slow to jump. ANNIES BRAT ran on well for third with APPLEGATE remaining at the rear throughout. ULTRA LESSON was tightened and lost ground into the bend remaining well back. WULFGAR (K Sutch-Jones) fractured fibula. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 42 days up to and including 12 June 2007.
Race 3 TAUWHARE STAKES - C2/3 - 457 All clear. CHARLSTON STATE (DD Schofield) water diabetes. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 29 May 2007. THRILLING FURY (N Udy) periodical pain right proximal fibula. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 May 2007. JUST A DRIP (M Gardner) scratched under Rule 63.10. No penalty. (100 km Rule)
Race 4 SUPERIOR CHUNKY DOG ROLL DASH - C1 - 375 AUDITORS FLAME was challenging for the lead until the home turn when she ran wide losing a winning chance. She ran on again for third. MAGGY JAY (GN Pomeroy) sprained right wrist. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 11 May 2007.
Race 5 WAIKATO RACE PIX SPRINT - C4/5 - 375 COMMANDS was a clear leader until the first bend until he faltered and pulled up quickly. When drifting back through the field ASHBOURNE BOSS collided with him and lost his chance. A post race veterinary check on COMMANDS revealed a broken hock and he was euthanased on humane grounds. SWEET SECRET (M Gardner) sore pectinem muscle. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 11 May 2007. (Papers to be endorsed.) COMMANDS (DD Schofield) broken hock. Euthanased.
Race 6 T.A.B PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C1 - 457 ANDREW THE BRAVE came up with the lids losing ground. He ran on for fourth. KINDA SHY checked outwards on the bend off THRILLING SWIFT and cannoning into FANCY TRICK which faltered and tailed the field home. A post race veterinary check on FANCY TRICK revealed a broken hock and the dog was euthanased on humane grounds. FANCY TRICK (DD Schofield) broken hock. Euthanased.
Race 7 RODEWALD HART BROWN LTD DASH - C5 - 375 The start was aborted due to the starter failing to activate the starting mechanism. All dogs were checked by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to race. The race was clear of incidents. THRILLING POWER (K Walsh) sprained left intersperatus muscle. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 May 2007.
Race 8 RACEWAY STAKES - C5 - 457 THRILLING TIGER was noticed to falter shortly after the finish of the race. A post race veterinary check revealed a fractured right hock with a ninety day stan down recommended. TEE SHIRT (GA Lawrence) was a late scratching. Rule 64.5. 28 days up to and including 30 May 2007. THRILLING TIGER (K Walsh) broken hock. Rule 82.1. 90 days up to and including 31 July 2007.
Race 9 TAMAHERE DASH - C3 - 375 SUPER DEAL checked out off TOGETHERNESS into the bend and lost ground finishing towards the rear.
Race 10 DUAL CODE HERE THURSDAY 17 MAY - C4 - 457 THRILLING HUBBA jumped well but was inclined to run outwards and lose ground into the bend. When straightening to the rail he checked off MISS VEE EIGHT and was again checked by an improving HOT DICKADEE. THRILLING HUBBA finished seventh. Favourite MISS VEE EIGHT was challenging for the lead half way down the home straight but only battled the final stages. A post race veterinary check revealed a sprained toe with a twenty one day stand down recommended. MISS VEE EIGHT (D Van Meeuwen) sprained left toe and grazed stopper pad. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 23 May 2007.
