Race 1 | ADVANCE PERFORMANCE STAKES - C4/5 - 520 | Favourite ANOTHER WHISKY was slow to jump and was well back early but made ground in the back straight and took the lead in the run home to win comfortably. LOMU FLEX was also slow to trap and tailed off throughout the race to finish a long last. A post race veterinary check showed the dog had a torn left gracilis and a 21 days stand down was recommended. LOMU FLEX (S.R.Fagan) torn left gracilis. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 21 May 2006. |
Race 2 | DANNY MILLWARD PLASTERING DASH - C4/5 - 295 | In the run to the turn AWESOME AUTUMN ran wide and pushed PAINT THE STARS and ROYAL FERN out wider with those two dogs finishing towards the rear. AWESOME AUTUMN ducked down to the rails and ran on fairly for third in the home straight. The first and second favourites WIZELEE and ANOTHER LAUREL jumped clear in the front and vied for the lead throughout the race, with WIZELEE getting up in the last stride to win. |
Race 3 | www.christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz DASH - C1 - 295 | At the jump ROCKY POCKETS glanced outwards, but did not lose stride or make contact with any other dog. The trainer G.A.Cleeve was spoken to regarding the dog. On the turn MISS WICKLOW climbed into the rear quarters of TORQUE TRENDY with both dogs losing ground and tailing off at the rear of the field. RAMAHANA ROSIE checked off the rear of MR BARRINGTON in the run to the turn, both dogs finishing midfield. |
Race 4 | MURRAY @ REMAX PH 03 371 5005 STAKES - C1 - 520 | On the final turn into the home straight TIME FAULTS and KOBBLE UP tangled at the rear of the field, checking the running of MERCEDES HOPE. All three dogs filled the last three placings. LOCHINVAR VUITON who finished second was subject to a post race veterinary check and found to have a ruptured left fore toe ligament with a twenty one day stand down recommended. WHISKY'S LAD (JT McInerney) infected web. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 5 May 2007. RODGER BAXTER (JT McInerney) infected left wrist. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 5 May 2007. LOCHINVAR VUITON (MM Grant) left fore toe ligament rupture. Rule 82.1 21 days up to and including 21 May 2007. |
Race 5 | HOUNDS 4 HOMES SPRINT - C1 - 295 | WAKATIPU FLYER and LOCHINVAR LOUIS were slow to jump. On the turn WAKATIPU FLYER checked off the rear of NURSE RUBY, pushing LOCHINVAR LOUIS wide. |
Race 6 | FITZGERALD ARMS TAVERN DASH - C2 - 295 | BAXTER'S BOY was squeezed up and pushed backwards when FOUL PLAY cut across to rail and came into contact with HOMEBUSH JOCK. WHERES YABREEKS was slow to jump and finished well back with BAXTER'S BOY and FOUL PLAY. |
Race 7 | FLAIR MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 520 | NASSIRAY BALE was slow jumping settling a clear last before running on for third. Into the first bend ROAMING FOR GOLD ran out checking ASLAN and RUNS ON HUGS all three losing all chance. They filled the last three placings. TURN THE CARD (VE Kingston) was a late scratching at kennelling under Rule 64.17 pending further inquiries as to identity. |
Race 8 | NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN - HEAT 1 - C0q - 295 Heat 1 | CHILE MAID was checked and pushed back when BRIGHT GEORGE crossed over in front. Both dogs finished midfield, whilst the winner TWO TICK JESSIE flew the traps and was always comfortably in front. |
Race 9 | NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN - HEAT 2 - C0q - 295 Heat 1 | BERT BADGER ran outwards checking the running of SWEET PAPOOSE and GOLD QUIZ. On the turn POWERFAST BORIS clipped the heels of KAIWERA SARAH. RACEY LACEY (D Kingston) was a late scratching at kennelling under Rule 64.17 pending further inquiries as to identity. |
Race 10 | NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN - HEAT 3 - C0q - 295 Heat 1 | The short priced favourite DAPTO GLOSS came in contact with BLUE DENIM for a number of strides into the first bend before coming in contact with REMUS. Turning for home she was forced outwards coming in contact with STOKER losing further ground before running on late. TED BAXTER (JT McInerney) cut to right hind foot. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 10 May 2007. |
Race 11 | TUESDAY PLACE PICK STAKES - C2 - 520 | Into the first bend LOUIE MCDODD, TOMAHAWK DOWN and PALONE all tangled, with PALONE squeezed sideways and shuffled backwards along with TOMAHAWK DOWN. LOUIE MCDODD recovered and made ground solidly in the straight to get up for fourth. TEE TEE NINTY was slow out and finished seventh after being checked off the rear of a retreating TOMAHAWK DOWN on the turn. HIGH FLYIN TEDDY was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a spike wound to a right hind leg with a five day stand down recommended. HIGH FLYIN TEDDY (MP Stewart) spike wound to right hind. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 5 May 2007. |
Race 12 | $8 ON COURSE ROAST & REFRESHMENT DASH - C1 - 295 | Turning for home MIGHTY POWER climbed into the back of DWACK with both dogs falling heavily. During the fall HOMEBUSH VIEW and CLAN MCINERNEY were severely checked, with all four dogs finishing a distance at the rear. All four dogs were subject to a veterinary check after the race and no injuries were sustained as a result of the incident. |
Race 13 | SHIRLEY T.A.B SPRINT - C2/3 - 295 | On the turn TURBO'S RETURN checked off the rear of FAST HAND, and went back on top of CECILIA HENRY, JAZZ MAN and MADAM JO JO with those dogs losing all chance and finishing towards the rear. |

Race 15 | COASTERS TAVERN DASH - C2/3 - 295 | HOMEBUSH WHO was squeezed up on the turn, checking the running of JESSIE BLUE and pushing TIMELY FLIRT out wide. These dogs filled the last three placings. |
Race 16 | KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C1 - 520 | TRENDY GUY, CHILE TIME and DASH DOT DASH tangled on the first turn and lost all chance, finishing well back. |

Race 18 | ADDINGTON FUNCTION CENTRE DASH - C4/5 - 295 | In the run to the turn CRAFTY CARSON crossed to the lead from the outside box, checking the running of ZENSU which moved outwards and around the early leader to pull away and win in the home straight. ROYAL REPRIEVE and HEAPS CLASSY were slow to jump and were always toiling at the rear of the field. |
Race 19 | BACK HERE FRIDAY DASH - C4 - 295 | Early leader HOMEBUSH BUZZ was swamped short of the line and finished third when TOMMY LEE WHISKY flew home in the straight from midfield to get up and win. |
Race 20 | CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C2/3 - 520 | Short priced favourite GROOVY FINANCE led all the way and won convincingly from PAUL BAXTER which was second last early and ran on strongly to get up for second. TRINITY THUNDA (P&T Hammond) excessive drinking after racing. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 12 May 2007. |
