Judicial report: Weather: fine Licenced Trainer Mr D.D. Schofield was charged with two breaches of rule 71 .(4) in that in race nine at the Auckland Greyhound Racing Clubs meeting on the 18th March 2007 he failed to have catchers arranged for two of his runners in this race . Mr Schofield admitted the breach of this rule and a fine of $50.00 was imposed in this instance on each charge.
Licenced Handler Ms Kathy Clark was charged with a breach of rule 71 (4) in that she failed to organise a catcher for Warnie in race nine at the Auckland Greyhound Racing Clubs Meeting on the 18th March 2007, Ms Clark admitted the breach and was present at the hearing. The stewards took into consideration that Ms Clark had boxed her dog and then realised she had no catcher arranged and had infact ran around to the finish to catch her runner. Given that Ms Clark had no previous breaches of this rule a first and final warning was imposed as penalty on this occasion.
Licenced handler Mr Kevin Ferris the handler of Mood Swinger was charged with A breach of rule 71 (4) in that he had failed to organise a catcher for Mood Swinger in race nine at the Auckland Greyhound Racing Clubs meeting on the 18th March 2007. Mr Ferris admitted the breach of this rule and was present at the hearing. Mr Ferris had with Ms Clark ran around after boxing Mood Swinger and caught his runner. The Stewards have taken into consideration that Mr Ferris has no previous breaches of this rule a first and final warning was imposed as penalty in this instance.

Race 3 | JACK'S WHOLESALE MEAT STAKES - C1 - 527 | Andrew The Brave was the slowest to begin After the start Another Pride ran inwards and contacted Ashbourne Falcon for a stride both being checked in this incident. Racing into the first turn Another Pride moved inwards and forced Ashbourne Falcon onto Kaimai Belle which fell. A post race veterinary examination of Kaimai Belle revealed an injury requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Kaimai Belle ( G. R. Farrell) Right fore lame, Pain on palpatation of triceps tendon, elbow flexion and biceps pressure. Rule 82 1. 14 day stand down to and including 01 05 07. |
Race 4 | OXYSHOT NEW ZEALAND SPRINT - C5 - 318 | Comical Ali was the slowest to begin. On the turn out of the back straight Commands had to check off the heels of Smart Waves. Comical Ali ran very wide around the home bend. |
Race 5 | CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C3 - 318 | Deadlock and Nutty Squirrel were the slowest to begin. After the start Nutty Squirrell ran inwards and contacted San Shin with both of these runners being checked in this incident. As the field raced into the turn out of the back straight Nutty Squirrel moved inwards and checked itself and San Shin when they made contact. Cheap ran out around the turn out of the back straight |
Race 6 | COMMERCIAL PLUMBING MAIDEN DISTANCE - C0d - 603 | Thrilling Gus and Thrilling Patsy were the slowest to begin. Take The Micky and Royal Tap came together on the home turn both of these runners were checked in this incident. That Girl which got it's muzzel caught in the safety fence at the lure was post race Vet Checked and no abnormalities were detected |
Race 7 | ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6PAK STAKES - C3/4 - 527 | Ash's Assassin and Fats Domino were the slowest to begin. After the start Ash's Assassin ran inwards and contacted Fats Domino with both of these runners being checked in this incident, these two runners again contacted each other around the first turn Thrilling Taz ( N Udy) ex Waikato 12 -04-07 Thrilling Jay (K Walsh ) Right Scapula Muscles sore with spasm secondary to cramp. Race 8 | PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS SPRINT - C1 - 318 | Distinctly Roys and Monganui Miss were the slowest to begin. Quiet Sensation and Lunar Sands came together after the start and were checked in this incident. Express Soldier and Black Elly these runners were leading into the first turn came together for a stride. Black Elly and Quiet Sensation came together as the field raced around the home turn. Bigtime Dancer ( D L Annette) Previous weight loss and Pyrxie 40 + Rule 64 12. 7 day stand down to and including 22-04-07 |
Race 9 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) STAKES - C5 - 527 | Paddy Flyin (Fav) was slow to begin Thrilling Bonny was also slow to begin. After the start Paddy Flyin ran out for a stride and checked Warnie this runner dropped to the rear after this check. Cawbourne Baron ran inwards after the start forcing My Charlston onto Paddy Flyin these three runners were checked slightly in this incident. As the field raced around the home turn Mood Swinger moved off the rail and contacted Investigate pushing this runner onto My Charleston these three runners were checked slightly in this incident Warnie had to check off My Charleston and came wide around this bend. Warnie after being checked at the start and having a chequered run made good ground to finish in 5th place. |
Race 10 | WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ SPRINT - C2 - 318 | Rialto Mission (2nd Fav) jumped very slowly and was observed to spread his front legs when this runner jumped. In the run to the turn out of the back straight Got Hope and Nancy's Wish were jostling for some distance. Rialto Mission Music Lesson and Ray Reeb were all checked as the field raced into the turn out of the back straight when they came together for a stride. Race 11 | 'WE RACE THURSDAT 26TH APRI' SPRINT - C4/5 - 318 | Mac Mcleod and Big Archie were the slowest to begin. After the start Charleston Kid ran inwards and contacted Hot Doc with botrh of these runners being checked in this incident. Holah A Hypo and Charleston kid contacted each other in the run to the turn out of the back straight with both of these runners being checked in this incident. Holah A Hypo and Hot Doc were both checked when Holah A Hypo cut inwards to the rail as the field progressed around the first turn. |
