Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer RD Blackburn was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 68.2 when kennelling two dogs later than an hour before the advertised time of the first race.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C5 - 295 ZENSU was slow to jump from the inside and was still well back on the turn. He made ground well on a fast time to finish third ZEPHYR KEROMA was tightened prior to the bend and lost ground with HOMEBUSH FITZY receiving a check as a result. These two dogs tailed the field thereafter. NGAWI BAY lost ground into the bend but ran on well for fourth. AWESOME AUTUMN (LJ Waretini) right hind third toe nail split. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 22 April 2007.
Race 2 HOUNDS 4 HOMES STAKES - C3 - 520 PARADISE ECHO and BAXTER'S GENERAL tangled into the first bend losing ground and finishing towards the rear. Into the first bend PAUL BAXTER was tightened and forced wide losing ground. He made up a lot of ground to finish fourth. JOHNNY BAXTER (JT McInerney) late scratched at Christchurch GRC on 13 April 2007. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 17 April 2007.
Race 3 CELTIC ARMS DASH - C0 - 295 WHIPWHOP MISS was first out but tightened into the bend as other dogs went around her. She dropped out to finish sixth. TORQUE TRENDY was slow to jump remaining well back throughout. When improving this dog came into contact with QUICK LAUGH causing him to drop away to the rear.
Race 4 MURRAY @ REMAX PH 03 3715005 DASH - C4 - 295 HOMEBUSH DUNCAN was the slowest to leave the traps but made good ground for its third placing. ADIO ROUTINE was pushed wide by VULCAN EARL into the bend and lost ground. She remained well back throughout. HOMEBUSH GABBY (JT McInerney) right hock sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 30 April 2007. SUZY SANDSTORM (JT McInerney) right hock sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 29 April 2007. ROSIE RETURN (LJ Waretini) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 13 April 2007. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 26 April 2007.
Race 5 EXCEED STAKES - C0 - 520 TED BAXTER checked out off SCOTT NO TRICK into the first bend with GRANT A DREAM, RUNS ON HUGS and BIG IMPRESSION being forced wide as a result. CHILE MAID checked outwards off SCOTT NO TRICK soon after this losing a bit of ground. ANOTHER CLOUD (JM Jopson) tail torn off. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 25 April 2007.
Race 6 POWER FARMING DASH HEAT 1 - C1q - 295 Heat 1 BOUNCEN BLITZEM was very slow to jump remaining in seventh place throughout. The favourite HOMEBUSH PHOEBE turned in the boxes and lost about fifty metres losing all chance. This dog was ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial. HOMEBUSH PHOEBE (JT McInerney) ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial under Rule 72.13.
Race 7 WILLYWHAT @ STUD DASH HEAT 2 - C1q - 295 Heat 1 SABA JEWEL hit the back of RICHMOND BOB around the bend losing ground and finishing well back.
Race 8 MASTERFOODS SPRINT HEAT 3 - C1q - 295 Heat 1 GOLDEN MOVER was slowest to jump but made ground impressively for its third placing.
Race 9 BARRONS SUPPLIES HEAT 4 - C1q - 295 Heat 1 BEKA'S ROSE was handy early but was checked by an improving TRENDY SON on the bend and lost ground drifting to the rear. Soon after TRENDY SON clipped GATLIN ANGEL from behind. GATLIN ANGEL lost its momentum and when attempting to recover was again checked by BLING BLING KING and fell. A post race veterinary check on GATLIN ANGEL revealed a sprained left hock with a fourteen day stand down recommended.. GATLIN ANGEL (MJ Flipp) mild sprain left hock. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 30 April 2007.
Race 10 FITZGERALD ARMS TAVERN DASH HEAT 5 - C1q - 295 Heat 1 General tightening into the bend resulted in NURSE RUBY, MR BARRINGTON, SMART WAY and WHISKY'S LAD all losing ground and their chances. MULBERRY TRICK (KJ Cassidy) was a late scratching after coming into season on the morning of the races. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 14 May 2007.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK STAKES - C5 - 520 SPECIAL SAGE was squeezed and fell in the early rush for positions. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. LAGOON TALLIS and GELIGNITE tangled around the first bend. They lost ground and remained in midfield for the remainder of the race.
Race 12 SHIRLEY T.A.B SPRINT - C2 - 295 CHILE DAN and CLAN BLUE tangled when racing in tight quarters into the bend as JESSIE BLUE improved around them and caused further tightening. These dogs all finished well back.
Race 13 $8 ON COURSE ROAST & REFRESHMENT DASH - C0 - 295 KNOW GOOD crossed quickly from a midfield box causing GOLD DOT to check with CLELAND GOLD and SHEEZA GRINNER receiving the backwash and losing ground. Into the bend KAIWERA SARAH ran outwards checking AINT NO ROYAL with both dogs losing ground.
Race 14 FLAIR STAKES FINAL - C1f - 520 Favourite GROOVY FINANCE was only fairly away and then checked by DANCE JUDGE when looking to improve sharply on the final bend hitting the running rail in the process. She ran on well for an unlucky fourth. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. BOATSWAIN WALLY checked off DASH DOT DASH on the first bend losing ground and remaining midfield.
Race 15 ADDINGTON FUNCTION CENTRE STAKES - C1 - 520 Favourite COOL GROOVY settled midfield and made ground well for a good second. RODGER BAXTER came into contact with TRENDY GUY into the first bend and fell. He regained his feet and chased the field home. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. FULL TIME was badly checked in this incident and lost all chance. MISS FINE LINE and TRENDY GUY tangled on the first bend and settled midfield where they remained.
Race 16 EXCELSIOR SPORTS BAR & TAB SPRINT - C2 - 295 DISCO FEVER was slow to jump and held up when attempting to improve into the bend. He finished last. SILVER CRISIS tightened CLAN NOVA and KRISSY BALE on this bend with these dogs losing all chance. WHATA YA KNOW (C Mitchell) right hind third toe sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 25 April 2007.
Race 17 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C4 - 520 BAXTERS LAD tightened FUNNY GIRL who came back onto YOUR TURN into the first bend. They settled near the rear. Into the home straight FUNNY GIRL who finished third checked BAXTERS LAD who drifted out to finish last. SANDAVE (AD Williams) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 13 April 2007. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 19 April 2007.
Race 18 RACING HERE FRIDAY DASH - C3 - 295 TURBO'S RETURN and OCTOBER PLACARD were tightened into the bend losing ground both finishing near the rear.
Race 19 NUTRI-ZING SPRINT FINAL - C2f - 295 All clear.
Race 20 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C2 - 520 TRINITY TONIC ran wide around the first bend losing ground to finish last. Into the back straight KOSTYA BALE moved outwards checking PALONE with CLAN STAR also sustaining a check. Across the top PALONE came in contact with TRINITY THUNDA with PALONE losing ground to finish near the rear with CLAN STAR. TRINITY THUNDA finished on for fourth. AMBEROSE (R Casey) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 21 April 2007.
