Judicial report: Weather: Fine but cold Trainer JF Allen was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when PROSPERO weighed in 1.5kgs over his last race weight.
The inquiry adjourned on 10 April 2007 in respect of HOMEBUSH DUNCAN, a starter in Race 19 at that meeting was reconvened. The Christchurch GRC was charged with a breach under Rules.51.1.a and 88.1.a. They pleaded guilty to the charge with a fine of $100.00 being imposed.

Race 1	ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C4/5 - 295	VULCAN EARL was slow to jump and when improving into the bend badly checked HOMEBUSH BEE and ROYAL FERN. Soon after HOMEBUSH JANE was tightened between AWESOME AUTUMN and NOT A WHATA losing ground. She finished at the rear with the dogs from the earlier incident. A post race veterinary check on HOMEBUSH BEE revealed a left fore sprained toe with a fourteen day stand down recommended. HOMEBUSH BEE (JT McInerney) sprained left fore toe. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 26 April 2007.
Race 2	WILSONS SPORTS BAR & TAB STAKES - C2 - 520	PAUL BAXTER was slow and then when improving ran inwards checking HIGH FLYIN TEDDY and CLAN STAR. These dogs filled the last three placings. GREAT ESTATE (J&D Fahey) sore left shoulder and sore left fore sesamoids. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 17 April 2007.
Race 3	GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY SPRINT - C3 - 295	GHASTLY ran inwards at the bend when improving causing severe interference to DUWANNA HAND, IN YOUR FACE and TIMELY FLIRT who all dropped out and lost their chances. Shortly after IN YOUR FACE and DUWANNA HAND tangled on the home turn when well back. Post race veterinary checks on DUWANNA HAND and GHASTLY revealed no injury.
Race 4	GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING DASH - C4 - 295	General tightening resulted in RUDI JEWEL, OLD DANS MATE, LIPSLIDE and PROSPERO all losing ground and their chances on the first bend. OLD DANS MATE was checked again shortly after and fell completing the race in a gap. A post race veterinary check on OLD DANS MATE revealed no injury. A post race veterinary check on ROSIE RETURN revealed left carpal pain with a fourteen day stand down recommended. HEAPS CLASSY (MM Grant) bruising to right gracilus. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 18 April 2007. KIWI NIKO (MJ Flipp) soft tissue infection right fore. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 18 April 2007. ROSIE RETURN (LJ Waretini) left carpal pain. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 26 April 2007.
Race 5	ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C4/5 - 520	SANDAVE who trailed early dropped away over the concluding stages of the race. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn right fore dew claw with a seven day stand down recommended. LOMU FLEX drifted out to finish a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed cramping with no stand down recommended. SANDAVE (AD Williams) torn right fore dew claw. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 19 April 2007.
Race 6	BARRONS SUPPLIES SPRINT - C4/5 - 295	NICCA NOTCH and SUZY SANDSTORM tangled early with LAGOON LADY, MISSING FERN and HOMEBUSH BUBBLES also finding trouble soon after. A post race veterinary check on SUZY SANDSTORM revealed no injury. CRAFTY CARSON (GA Cleeve) starter in Race 10. PAINT THE STARS (C Mitchell) low grade bruising to right hind metatarsals. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 16 April 2007.
Race 7	CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C0d - 645	ROAMING FOR GOLD received some tightening into the first bend dropping to the rear and staying there. COUGARS CRUZIN (C Mitchell) scratched at Christchurch GRC meeting on 10 April 2007. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 16 April 2007. WINSOME SECRET (J&D Fahey) hock injury. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 8 May 2007. JOHNNY BAXTER (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling with diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 17 April 2007.
Race 8	KURIPUNI TAVERN MASTERTON STAKES - R/A - 520	ASAFA BALE attempted to run outwards soon after the start and succeeded in doing so on the first bend checking favourite SCOTEXCITED and BAXTERS LAD with these dogs losing all chance. WINSOME SHOW (J&D Fahey) scratched at Christchurch GRC meeting on 10 April 2007. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 18 April 2007. OPAWA VANE (JF Allen) diarrhoea and vomiting. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 6 days up to and including 16 April 2007.
Race 9	NEW ZEALAND SERIES #16 FINAL - RESf - 520	GELIGNITE ran outwards early in the race causing inconvenience to most of the field with FUNNY GIRL the worst affected. This enabled RAILS BOOKMAKER to establish a winning break on the opposition.
Race 10	SBS HARDING CUP FINAL - C5f - 295	NGAWI BAY and CRAFTY CARSON were tightened and lost ground into the bend never recovering. KIM'S WHISKY (JT McInerney) scratched at Christchurch GRC meeting on 10 April 2007. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 23 April 2007.
