Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer R.Blackburn was fined $ 75-00 under Rule 68.2 & 68.6 when late to kennelling. In reaching the penalty, it was taken into account that although the Stewards were aware that the Trainer was advised of kennel times, she mistakenly thought she was to kennel at the next staggered kennelling time.
D.Kettlewell the Trainer of FIRST SAMPLE was fined $ 50-00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms underweight.

Race 1	METEOR PRINTERS - C1 - 305	PAPAKA, HOMEBUSH WAYNE and PSYCHOSOMATIC were all checked on the first corner and lost all chance of a placing.
Race 2	WAVERLY PUNTER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION - C1/2 - 305	HOMEBUSH WESTIE moved across from box 8 and jostled HOMEBUSH ALLY for several strides in the back straight and then checked JEN'S LASS on the first corner. NOOKYS WINK and TUSSY were checked on the first corner, dropped back to the rear and finished in the last two places.
Race 3	KEENAN CONCRETE SIX PACK - C1/2 - 520	One of the favourites THRILLIING SNIPE raced well back throughout and finished in last place. THRILLING SNIPE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 4	GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #15 - HEAT 1 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	The two favourites PATTYS ANSWER and MR CLONTARF were the slowest away and then collided on the first corner and lost ground again. They never recovered and finished in the last two places. PATTYS ANSWER and MR CLONTARF were examined by the Vet and both were cleared of injury.
Race 5	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #15 - HEAT 2 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	CHARLSTON GHOST ran in sharply from the start and bumped CENTRAL RAIDER and DREAM ON CYRUS who were both hindered for a few strides. CHARLSTON GHOST then moved to the rail on the first corner and again checked DREAM ON CYRUS who dropped back and finished in last place.
Race 6	RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ - C4 - 305	BRITE OPAWA was away well enough but bumped together with BURSTING OUT and FOUR SQUARE in the race to the first corner, dropped back to the rear and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 7	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #15 - HEAT 3 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	CHARLSTON KID who was well supported was handy in 3rd position from the start until starting the last bend where he began to drift and eventually finished in last place. CHARLSTON KID was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 8	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C4/5 - 520	All clear. DRILLING DAM L.Hern Rule 64 Suffering from shoulder soreness and was presented and stood down for 5 days to and including 19.03.07
Race 9	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C5 - 305	One of the favourites COMMANDS was handy to the first corner but was checked and dropped back causing checks to MICHELAC and BEST TELL PIE and they lost their chance of a placing and finished well back. THRILLING SNOOP A.Udy Rule 64 Suffering from a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 27.03.07.
Race 10	THE GRAND HOTEL - C2/3 - 305	UNO A WHISPER began a little awkwardly, settled at the rear and followed the field home in last place. TEDDY TYLER M.McDonnell Rule 64 Suffering from a wrist injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 29.03.07.
