Race 6 MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C3 - 520 This race started 2 minutes late at the T.A.B request. JUST A DRIP was slow away and then collided with SEXY BEAST on the first bend and they lost ground and finished in the last two places. Race 7 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C4 - 305 HOMEBUSH BASMATI was away well to lead early but was pushed out on the first corner and was hit from behind by GUS THE BUILDER and dropped back to finish in 2nd last place. BIGTIME RISK Ex Wanganui on 06.03.07.
Race 8 WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C4/5 - 520 FLAMING PRINCE was checked on the first corner and ran wide around the bend losing ground. The favourite FLAG THE BANK led early but was hit from behind by PALSY O'CEIRIN on the first bend and both lost ground. FLAG THE BANK was checked again soon after as THRILLING NEWTON went past but recovered to finish in 3rd place. THRILLING RED K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from a leg muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 18.03.07.
Race 9 RUSH HIRE - C5 - 305 Jostling on the first corner resulted in checks to BIGTIME STORM and JAMES BEE who then recovered to finish 3rd and 4th. MICHELAC, VINNYMORE and THRILLING MIKE also suffered interferance, lost several lengths and finished in the last three places. BIGTIME EXPLORER L.Ahern Rule 64 Suffering from a tricep muscle injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 04.04.07. NOWHERE TO RUN D.Parata Rule 64 Suffering from a tail injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.03.07.
Race 10 THE GRAND HOTEL - C2 - 305 COREYS FLIGHT disputed the lead on the first corner but was checked and went back and out forcing ASTRO JIMMY and SWEET SECRET wide over extra ground. COREYS FLIGHT lost all chance and finished in 2nd last place.
