Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer MM Grant was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when OCTOBER PLACARD weighed in 1.4 kgs above its last race weight.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C3 - 295 AWESOME TOY was slow to jump from the inside box. When this dog attempted to improve he got up on the inside of IMA LLOYDIE checking this dog outwards which in turn pushed CLAN MISTY, NOT A WHATA and OHOKA FLIRT wider. These dogs all lost their chances in this incident
Race 2 MURRAY @ REMAX PH 03 3715005 SPRINT - C3 - 295 FOX FIRE was the slowest to jump. Into the bend CLAN ORA, CLAN ONYX and ADIO ROUTINE were all tightened and lost ground as FOX FIRE improved along the inside. Shortly after FOX FIRE and HOMEBUSH JADE tangled. All of these dogs finished out of the money.
Race 3 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #14 DISTANCE - HEAT 1 - RESdq - 732 Heat 1 All clear.
Race 4 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #14 DISTANCE - HEAT 2 - RESdq - 732 Heat 1 TOMMY TATTOO fell heavily at the first bend when attempting to run wide and checked favourite FUNNY GIRL in the process. FUNNY GIRL made up a huge slice of ground for fourth while TOMMY TATTOO regained his feet and chased the field home. A post race veterinary check on TOMMY TATTOO revealed sore hindquarters with a ten day stand down recommended. BLUE FERN (GA Cleeve) broken toe. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 2 April 2007. TOMMY TATTOO (JT McInerney) sore hindquarters. Rule 82.1 10 days up to and including 16 March 2007.
Race 5 POWER FARMING SPRINT - C2 - 295 HOMEBUSH CARLIN received a severe check when tightened into the first bend dropping out to finish last.
Race 6 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY STAKES - C2 - 520 HOMEBUSH LUKE was tightened and lost ground in the early rush for positions and remained well back. Favourite DABYNE SHIRAZ received a check into the first bend settling midfield but improved to challenge on the home turn and run away to score impressively again. OPAWA MUSIC (J&D Fahey) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 2 March 2007. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 15 March 2007. RAGIN CAJUN (MJ Flipp) late scratching at Christchurch GRC on 2 March 2007. Rule 68.26. 14 days up to and including 15 March 2007.
Race 7 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP DASH - C5 - 295 PAINT THE STARS and TITANIC tangled into the bend losing ground. They both recovered well with PAINT THE STARS getting into second and TITANIC making up ground for fourth. ZIGGY WAR CRY and SLAVE DRIVER both ran wide into the bend losing ground and finishing well back.
Race 8 COLIN COUNSELL MEMORIAL - C5 - 520 Hot favourite ASAFA BALE and TOMMY LEE WHISKY tangled badly into the first bend with both dogs losing all chance and tailing the field home. LOMU FLEX (SR Fagan) wrist pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 14 March 2007. (Papers to be endorsed.)
Race 9 BACK HERE TUESDAY 13TH SPRINT - C4 - 295 All clear. TO CASUAL (GA Cleeve) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 2 March 2007. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 29 March 2007.
Race 10 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C3 - 520 BARDO'S ANGEL ran wide into the first bend taking GATLIN GETTO with it with both dogs losing all chance. FANTASY FAIR also was checked and lost ground but staged a huge recovery to finish fourth.
