Judicial report: Weather: fine Licenced Trainer Mrs D. M. Smith. was given a first and final warning under the provisions of Rule 68.6 for being late to present her greyhounds for kenneling
Following a Stewards inquiry opened on the 25th February resulting from the late scratching of the greyhound Surf It Up from race No 9. The Stewards laid a charge against Mrs K Braithwaite alleging a breach of Rule 71.2. Mrs K Braithwaite admitted the breach of this rule and was present at the hearing of this charge. A Fine of $75 .00 was imposed in this instance with the adjudicating Steward having taken into consideration Mrs Braithwaite's excellent record and admission of the breach of this rule.

Race 1	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C0 - 318	Black Logo was the slowest to begin. After the start Midget Racer ran outwards and in doing so caused checks to both Electrostatic and That Bloke. Racing into the turn out of the back straight Tamaki Girl was galloped on from behind by Ramrod Reason with both of these runners being checked in this incident.
Race 2	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS STAKES - HEAT 1 - C1q - 527 Heat 1	Romano Reason and Thrilling Helen were the slowest to begin. Racing into the first turn Elle Virus was checked by Certainly as a result of this check Elle Virus dropped back, ran out and checked both Thrilling Helen and Romano Reason. Around the first turn Another Pride ran inwards and checked itself and Thrilling Syd As the field raced down the back straight Awesome Foot which was leading came in and checked Another Pride for a stride, Another Pride received another check around the home bend when Thrilling Syd came out into this runners path. A post race veterinary examination of Thrilling Syd detected an injury(grade 1 injury R long head triceps) requiring a ten day stand down from racing Thrilling Syd (K Walsh) Grade 1 injury Right Long head triceps. Rule 82 1 10 days to and including 13 02 07.
Race 3	CAROL'S TABS' SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1	New Clear Power and Waitak Thunder were the slowest to begin. As the field raced into the turn out of the back straight Santas Awesome which was racing on the outside of the two leaders appeared to falter and dropped back sharply in going back throught the field Santas Awesome caused checkes to Waitak Thunder, Catch A Virus and New Clear Power. A Post Race veterinary Examination of Santas Awesome revealed a Left Shoulder Collateral Ligament Rupture and this greyhound was Euthanased. Santas Awesome ( N P Green) L shoulder collateral ligament rupture Rule 82 1 Euthanased.
Race 4	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS STAKES - HEATS 2 - C1q - 527 Heat 1	Thrilling Sunny and Shanti were the slowest to begin. After the start Trendy Time ran inwards checking itself and Matilda Dark Zephyr ran inwards after the start and checked Riconiak. Racing into the first turn Riconiak received a check when Thrilling Sunny got through on this runners inside. A post race veterinary examination of Riconiak revealed an injury, right hind split webbing requiring a 21 day stand down from racing. Race 5	CAROL'S TABS' SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 1	Spyridon Louis and Distinctly Roys were the slowest to begin. After the start Call Me Loyal and Gold Foot were checked when Elite Paradise ran outwards and made contact with these runners. Giggilo Gee Jay ( S Blackburn) Compassionate grounds Rule 64 .5. No Penalty
Race 6	THORNTON AUCTIONS AUCKLAND DERBY FINAL - R/Af - 527	Nitro Billy (fav) and Thrilling Mac were the slowest to begin. Racing into the first bend Fanta Claws crossed to the lead and in doing so checked Smart Waves as a result of this check Smart Waves came back and caused checkes to Rebel Caste, Homebush Bradley and Rushmore Reason. As the field raced past the 318 boxes Nitro Billy (Fav) appeared to falter and dropped back sharply finishing in last place. A post race veterinary examination revealed left hock ligament damage requiring a 90 day stand down from racing. Thrilling Fury(N Udy). Strained 2 Right distal accessory metacarpal Ligaments Veterinary Certificate supplied Rule 64 .12. 14 days to and including 15 03 07.Papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsment. Race 7	OXYSHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C4/5 - 318	Spring Storm and Mr Miagi were the slowest to begin. Racing into the first turn Deadlock and Full Of Flare came together for a stride both being checked slightly. Bigtime Fox Trot received a deep wound to the right shoulder at the conclusion of the race, was treated by the track veterinarian and this injury required a 28 day stand down from racing Bigtime Fox Trot ( J B Hastie) Deep Wound to shoulder significant blood loss Rule 82 1. 28 days to and including 31 03 07
Race 8	PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS DASH - C2/3 - 318	Nutty Squirrel and Marble Nugget were the slowest to begin. After the start Big Archie ran out and contacted Time Over Boots both runners being checked slightly Bullet Blue was also checked in this incident. Friendly Virus ran inwards after the start checking itself and Togetherness.
Race 9	WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C2 - 318	After the start Ray Reeb and Mochaccino came together for several strides. Racing into the turn out of the back straight Miss Macsteele ran wide on the track and in doing so forced Andwyn wider on the track Lily Longlegs had to check off the heels of Andwyn.
Race 10	'CUP WEEK AT MANUKAU' STAKES - C2 - 527	Owney Joe Tarr was the slowest to begin.
