Race 9. Surf It Up (N.P.Green) was a late scratching by Stewards under Rule 71.2 and an Inquiry is proceeding into the circumstances surrounding the matter including a possible breach of Rule 111.6.

Race 1	ROBERTS CATERING DASH - C0 - 318	Rosetta ran inwards at the start and came together with Midget Racer with both being checked slightly. Tightening after 20 mtrs resulted in checks to That Bloke, Ramrod Reason, Tamaki Girl and Lunar Sands. Ramrod Reason moved inwards nearing the first turn and checked Lunar Sands. Tamaki Girl moved outwards on the bend and severely checked Rosetta. Our Spring (D.M.Smith). ex Waikato GRC on 22.02.07.
Race 2	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS STAKES - C0 - 527	Rialto Man, Home Loan Blues and Intention Known were the slowest to begin. Blue Twirl ran outwards at the start and checked Creek Diamond. Gatlin Ghost and Intention Known came together for a stride after 25 mtrs. Entering the first turn, Home Loan Blues which was at the rear, ran very wide across the heels of other runners. Blue Twirl and Creek Diamond jostled for several strides on the first turn. Home Loan Blues and Gatlin Ghost came together for a stride on the home turn.
Race 3	CAROL'S TABS' SPRINT FEATURE - C1 - 318	Another Pride was the slowest to begin. New Clear Power ran outwards and Gold Foot inwards at the start causing tightening and severe checks to themselves, Forever Running, Hunkaspunk and King Joker. Entering the first turn King Joker moved inwards to the rail checking and hampering Another Pride for several strides. Entering the first turn Hunkaspunk and Gold Foot came together with both being checked slightly. On the bend King Joker moved inwards to the rail and checked Another Pride again. A post race veterinary examination of King Joker detected an injury requiring a 5 day stand down from racing. King Joker (N.Udy). Pain extension right hip support and left hind digit 4 bruising. Rule 82.1. 5 days to and including 01.03.07.
Race 4	THORNTON AUCTIONS STAKES - C4/5 - 527	Ash's Assassin and Cheeky Bonnie (winner) were the slowest to begin. Zambora Kezman changed ground outwards across the heels of Smart Waves on the first bend and lost 2 lengths.
Race 5	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C2/3 - 318	Zensu, Nutty Squirrel and Marble Nugget were the slowest to begin. Mr Miargi and Nutty Squirrel jostled for several strides prior to the first turn. Mr Miargi raced very wide on the bend and home turn.
Race 6	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD DASH - C4/5 - 318	This race was rescheduled by TAB Trackside to start 7 minutes later than the advertised time. Flash Shooter was the slowest to begin and then made up ground strongly throughout the race for 3 rd placing. Nearing the first turn Comical Ali moved outwards and checked Ashbourne Boss and Sir Kretion. Entering the first turn tightening resulted in checks to My Charlston and Comical Ali with Ashbourne Boss and Sir Kretion taking evasive action by running wide. Who Nose moved outwards on the home turn and inconvenienced Flash Shooter.
Race 7	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD STAKES - C2/3 - 527	This race was rescheduled by TAB Trackside to start 8 minutes later than the advertised time. This Time Boots, Charlston Zoom and Bigtime Fox Trot (winner) were the slowest to begin. This Time Boots appeared to falter on the first turn when at the rear and pulled up. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected an injury requiring a 90 day stand down from racing. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in Rothvale Reason, Holah A Hypo, That Girl, Richfield Reason and Charlston Zoom all being denied clear racing room. Coruba Rush (G.R.Farrell). Split nail right hind lateral toe / digit 5. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 7 days to and including 02.03.07. This Time Boots (J.R.Udy). Right hock dislocation. Rule 82.1. 90 days to and including 25.05.07.
Race 8	AUCKLAND CUP WEEK 2007 DASH - C2 - 318	Ray Reeb, Mrs Goodley and Joebees Jet were the slowest to begin. After 30 mtrs Lily Longlegs was contacted and checked from behind by Got Hope and then became unbalanced, moved inwards and severely checked Mrs Goodley. Entering the first turn Ray Reeb moved outwards and into the path of Mrs Goodley which was severely checked. Movie Man (N.P.Green). Injury to near side gracilis. No vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.14. 28 days to and including 24.03.07.
Race 9	OXYSHOT NEW ZEALAND STAKES - C1 - 527	Surf It Up was a late scratching due to not completing pre race preparation. Black Limousine and El Doo were the slowest to begin. Fancy Trick and El Doo came together after 30 mtrs with both being checked slightly. Nearing the back straight Black Limousine changed ground outwards across the heels of Certainly and lost 2 lengths. Thrilling Diesel (N.A.Clark). Pain in right triangle and quadriceps muscles. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 06.03.07. Surf It Up (N.P.Green). Late scratching. Rule 71.2. Inquiry proceeding.
Race 10	ALAMO BAR & GRILL STAKES - C1 - 527	This race was rescheduled by TAB Trackside to start 4 minutes later than the advertised time. Thrilling Dane, Romano Reason and Angel Of Harlem were the slowest to begin. Romano Reason and Thrilling Dane came together on the first turn with Romano Reason being severely checked. Sweet Teddy moved outwards on the first bend and came together with Thrilling Lazer for a stride. A post race veterinary examination of Thrilling Lazer detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. Surf It Up (N.P.Green). Gained start in Race 9. Thrilling Lazer (R.P.O'Regan). Lame right hind hip support. Rule 82.1. 10 days to and including 06.03.07.
