Judicial report: Weather: Fine There were no Judicial matters to consider but of interest were the number of slight injuries, mainly to quadricep muscles and in the opinion of the Veterinary Surgeon, these were possibly caused by the holding nature of the track which had been well watered due to the very hot dry conditions which have been experienced in recent weeks

Race 1	WELLINGTON HOUNDS @ MANAWATU - C0 - 297	ALBION LANE moved in on the first corner and checked CAYOTE BOY who lost several lengths and finished well back. THUNDER BLUNDER ran wide over extra ground on the bend and also finished well back. CAYOTE BOY T.Tipene Rule 82 Suffered a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.03.07. GEORGIE MOHAN L.Bell Rule 82 Suffered a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.03.07.
Race 2	WELLINGTON COMMITTEE STAKES - C1 - 297	BLACK ELLY was checked on the first corner, went back and checked WOFTAMS TIP and BUG CATCHER and they lost all chance of a placing.
Race 3	UPPER VALLEY PANEL - C1 - 297	INFECTIOUS AZZ was checked soon after the start, dropped back to last and finished the race well back. STRONG BAD ran out on the first corner and collided with PAPAKA and they lost several lengths and finished in the last two places. BIGTIME MAGIC L.Ahern Rule 64 Suffering from a quadricep musce injury, was presented and stood down for 4 days to and including 22.02.07.
Race 4	CAMBRIDGE HOTEL, WELLINGTON - C1 - 505	One of the favourites JIMMY HALL was checked soon after the start but then made a forward move until he collided with WHATA ASSASSIN and JEFFIES FELLA on the first corner and they lost several lengths and all finished well back. JEFFIES FELLA was checked starting the last bend, went back to last and finished in 2nd last place. CLASSY BREEZE P.Clark Rule 64 Suffering from a leg injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 18.03.07.
Race 5	EXCHANGE HOTEL, LOWER HUTT - C2 - 297	TUSSY, RUIZ ROYALE and DUSTYS REWARD bumped together for several strides soon after the start, settled well back and finished in the last three places. SWEET SECRET moved in on the first corner and checked ANGELICA who lost a couple of lengths. RUIZ ROYALE L.Bell Rule 82 Suffered a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.03.07.
Race 6	ACCSYS FOR QUICKBOOKS - C2 - 505	KAIMAI GOLD was handy in the race to the first corner but was checked and went back to the rear. He then recovered to finish in 5th place. ASTRO NERONE Ex Manawatu on 15.02.07. CALL ME CUTE L.Fornasiere Rule 82 Suffered a claw injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.03.07.
Race 7	SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE - PETONE - C2/3 - 297	DOUBLE HAPPY moved in on the first corner and checked SAILAH JAYNE who went back to the rear and never recovered, finishing in 2nd last place. DUSTY'S DIAMOND Ex Wanganui on 18.02.07. SAILAH JAYNE M.Gardner Rule 82 Suffered a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.03.07.
Race 8	B & P ENGINEERING - C3/4 - 505	COMANCHE BRAVE slowed right up with a circuit to run and finished the race a long distance behind the other runners. COMANCHE BRAVE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a toe nail injury. COMANCHE BRAVE B.Melville Rule 82 Suffered a toe nail injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.03.07
Race 9	ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS - C4 - 297	IMA FREEMAN moved in on the first corner and checked REBEL ALLIANCE, BIGTIME JULIE and FOUR SQUARE who lost ground and all chance of a placing.and they finished well back.
Race 10	TOTAL BODY SHOP 6 PACK - C5 - 297	OPAWA JAZZ and EARL MCROBERTS were checked back to the rear on the first corner and never recovered, finishing in the last two places.
