Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 under Rule 69.11 when TED BAXTER weighed in 1.3kgs under its last race weight.
Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 under Rule 69.11 when BAXTERS BOY weighed in 1.3kgs under its last race weight.
Trainer JE Chatfield was fined $50.00 under Rule 69.11 when CASSIUS PHOENIX weighed in 1.2kgs over its last race weight.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - HEAT 1 - C2q - 295 Heat 1 MADAME JO JO went down on its nose and missed the start by ten lengths. She remained at the rear throughout. WHATA YA KNOW (C Mitchell) gracilus muscle tear. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 18 February 2007. TAIM BIHAIN (GK Barron) soreness in right hip and groin. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 14 February 2007.
Race 2 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - HEAT 2 - C2q - 295 Heat 1 This race was delayed by one minute due the late running of an Avondale event. HEEZ BACK IN was handy until the first bend when an improving GHASTLY took its line when crossing from the outside. HEEZ BACK IN never recovered finishing seventh. Shortly after BRUNO DIABLO ran outwards off the rails pushing TAIWANA wide and costing it any chance it had.
Race 3 WAITANGI DAY STAKES - C0 - 520 TED BAXTER and TWO CLOUDS bumped soon after the jump losing ground. Into the first bend JIN JU checked off runners and lost ground. She passed three runners in the run home to finish fifth.
Race 4 ON COURSE $8 ROAST & REFRESHMENT SPRINT - C0 - 295 HOMEBUSH VIRGO was last away but ran on to finish fifth. BRIGHT GEORGE ran in sharply at the jump checking firstly EMMAS A ROCKET and soon after RIVIERA CHIC. EMMAS A ROCKET never recovered finishing last with RIVIERA CHIC making up good ground for fourth. WAKATIPU FLYER ran very wide around the bend losing a lot of ground and its chance finishing seventh.
Race 5 TUESDAY PLACE PICK STAKES - C0 - 520 HOMEBUSH CATH was badly tightened into the first bend and settled last. She made up a lot of ground to finish fourth. NASSIRAY JEWEL (AC Roberts) sore front left toe. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 3 March 2007.
Race 6 TRACKSIDE DINING 22/2 PH 3386145 DASH - C0 - 295 LIKA CHEETAH was very slow to jump remaining well back throughout. Into the bend GRANT A DREAM checked off HOMEBUSH JOY and lost ground with TRENDY SON receiving backwash and also losing its chance.
Race 7 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - HEAT 1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 CLAN PHOENIX was slow to jump and remained wide and well back throughout. MAURITIUS was tightened and relegated to last into the first bend. He remained well back on the fast pace to finish seventh.
Race 8 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - HEAT 2 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 This event was delayed by one minute due to an Australian race running late. JACKPOT JACK, RAMAHANA ROSIE and MULBERRY TRICK were all tightened racing into the first bend. Shortly after CHILE TIME received a decent check losing ground with HOMEBUSH LARKIN copping some backwash and drifting out. Of these checked runners JACKPOT JACK made up good ground for fourth with the others finishing midfield and worse. BLING BLING KING (JA McMillan) acidosis. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days up to and including 25 February 2007.
Race 9 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP SPRINT - C1 - 295 JESSIE BLUE and SABA JEWEL were both very slow to jump. Into the bend BLACK FIZZER ran outwards with most of the field being taken wider as a result. Due to this the slow beginners JESSIE BLUE and SABA JEWEL were able to receive nice rails runs to finish second and fourth respectively. GATLIN ANGEL (MJ Flipp) laceration to right fore outside toe. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 9 February 2007.
Race 10 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - HEAT 3 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 MERCEDES HOPE was stood down for twenty-eight days and ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial under Rule 80.1.a after marring GOLDEN MOVER in the home straight. LAGOON RISE (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling with diarrhoea. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 12 February 2007. MERCEDES HOPE (D Kingston) Rule 80.1.a. 28 days up to and including 5 March 2007.
Race 11 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - HEAT 4 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 This race was delayed by two minutes due to the lateness of an Australian race. DARK ZEPHYR was checked in the early rush and lost ground but made up ground well in the run home to finish third.
Race 12 DUAL CODE & NZ OAKS HERE THURSDAY DASH - C1 - 295 AWESOME BROWNIE dropped away early in the race and finished a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn right gracilus with a twenty-eight day stand down recommended. AWESOME BROWNIE (WJ Cairns) torn right gracilus. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 5 March 2007.
