ASTRO MICKEY was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a thigh muscle injury. Race 2 KURIPUNI SPORTSBAR - C2 - 290 JUDGEMENTAL and TUSSY were slow to begin losing 4 lengths. JUDGEMENTAL recovered to finish in 2nd place while TUSSY finished in 5th place. DUSTY'S DIAMOND and DUSTYS REWARD collided on the first corner and dropped back to the rear and they finished well back.
Race 3 WAIRARAPA TIMES AGE - C1 - 290 INFECTIOUS AZZ galloped on the heels of HOMEBUSH CHRIS on the first corner amd they both lost ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 4 P & B ENGINEERING - C1 - 290 The favourite GUNNADOO IT raced onto the heels of NIAGARA CRESENT on the bend and checked. GUNNADOO IT was tightened and checked between NIAGARA CRESENT and HOMEBUSH ALLY near the home turn, lost ground again and finished in 4th place.
Race 5 THE SIGN FACTORY - C2/3 - 545 SEILATAN began awkwardly and lost 3 lengths. AMUSEMENT and BUFFALO SOLDIER collided twice on the first corner, dropped back to the rear and stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 6 BILL DENBEE SPRINT - C2 - 290 One of the favourites GRUNDY was very slow away and could not make up the lost ground and finished well back. MYSTIC DANCER A.Elers Rule 64.10 In a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 24.02.07.
Race 7 SEEDS & CEREALS - C1 - 290 All clear.
Race 8 WGRC ANNIVERSARY STAKES FINAL - C2f - 545 One of the favourites OWNEY JOE TARR was bumped and pushed wide on the first bend and then had to check off the heels of COMANCHE BRAVE entering the back straight. He never recovered and finished well back in 6th place.
Race 9 WGRC COMMITTEE STAKES - C3/4 - 290 SHARIMORE checked off the heels of VINNYMORE on the first corner and then she and STARLIGHT WOODS were forced out wide on the bend and they finished in the last two places.
Race 10 KEINZLEY AGVETS - C4/5 - 545 All clear. FANTASY SHIFTER G&S Hayden Holmes. Club scratching due to a misunderstanding between The Club Secretary and the Trainer.
Race 11 MIDWEEK - C4/5 - 290 MONDO CANPIONE began awkwardly, settled at the rear and stayed there to the finish. MONDO CANPIONE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a shoulder muscle injury. TEE BONE checked off the heels of FOUR SQUARE on the first corner and lost ground. MONDO CANPIONE B.Wate Rule 82 Suffered a shoulder muscle injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 24.02.07.
