Race 1 METEOR PRINTERS - C1 - 305 RUN ROSIE RUN and RUIZ ROYALE were checked on the first corner, went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 2 SPICERS PAPER - C0 - 520 FOOTESEA LASS was away well but was galloped on on the first corner and dropped back through the field to finish several lengths last. FOOTESEA LASS was examined by the vet and cleared of any injury.
Race 3 HEADS ROAD VET - C0 - 305 KING CYRUS galloped on the heels of BIGTIME MAC on the bend and ran wide over extra ground.
Race 4 WANGANUI SECURITY - C1 - 520 DRILLING DAM moved across in the race to the first corner and severely checked JIMMY HALL, CUPLA SHILLINGS and THRILLING TURBO who lost all chance and finished at the rear. JIMMY HALL and CUPLA SHILLINGS were examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 5 GUTHRIE BOWRON - C2 - 305 HOMEBUSH DIESEL stumbled soon after the start and dropped back to the rear. ICAN DRIBBLE was handy to the first corner but was checked and lost four lengths. Soon after, THRILLING SPICE and TAHUNA TEAZER were checked and they also lost ground. GENEROUS THIEF M.Brown Rule 64 Suffering from dehydration and stood down for 10 days to and including 14.01.07. CATCH CADDY P.Freeman Rule 64 Suffering from swelling to the right tarsus and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.01.07.
Race 6 PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C3 - 305 HOMEBUSH TERRA and BIGTIME JIM collided on the first corner and BIGTIME JIM dropped out to last and tailed the field home.BIGTIME JIM was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with pain in a wrist. BIGTIME JIM J & J Tapiki Rule 82 Suffered a wrist injury and stood down for 5 days to and including 14.01.07.
Race 7 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C2 - 520 All clear. THRILLING ZOE P.Freeman Rule 64 Suffering from a gum infection and stood down for 14 days to and including 20.01.07.
Race 8 DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C4 - 305 NOWHERE TO RUN moved out in the back straight and checked VINNYMORE, THRILLING MICKEY and SPECIAL EFFECTS. The favourite PAPAMOA LASS and FANTASY SHIFTER collided on the home turn and PAPAMOA LASS dropped out to finish in last place. PEPPERONNI A.Trass Rule 82 Suffering from pain over the fibula and stood down for 10 days to and including 19.01.07.
Race 9 RUSH HIRE - C3/4 - 520 JONNY MARCO checked off the heels of THRILLING JEN on the first corner and ran wide. JONNY MARCO raced well back to the finish and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. ONLY ONE DADDY Ex Wairarapa on 07.01.07. CALL ME CUTE L.Fornasiere Rule 82 Suffering from mild lameness and stood down for 5 days to and including 14.01.07.
Race 10 THE RADIO WORKS - C4/5 - 305 HOMEBUSH BASMATI, TOUCH OF SMOKEY and THRILLING MARK jostled together for several strides soon after the start and settled well back. BIGTIME JULIE checked off the back of VITA LASS on the bend and dropped back several places. LOADED GUN B & L Craik Rule 64 Suffering from a gluteal muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.01.07.
Race 11 MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C5 - 520 THRILLING LUCY was checked twice on the first bend, dropped back to near the rear and stayed well back to the finish.
Race 12 KEENAN CONCRETE SIX PACK - C4/5 - 305 Tightening on the first corner resulted in a check to FARMOR BLISS who lost several lengths. Soon after, CRYSTAL HISTORY, MAXI THE TAXI, SEXY ASSASSIN, BIGTIME EXPLORER and BIGTIME STORM bumped together, lost ground and SEXY ASSASSIN fell.and suffered injuries requiring a 10 day stand down. MAXI THE TAXI and BIGBAD EDNA also suffered injuries requiring 10 day stand downs. MAXI THE TAXI B & L Craik Rule 82 Suffered a torn toenail and stood down for 10 days to and including 19.01.07. SEXY ASSASSIN T.McCracken Rule 82 Fell and suffered dew claw injuries and bruising and stood down for 10 days to and including 19.01.07 BIGBAD EDNA D.Gough Rule 82 Suffered a cut stopper pad and stood down for 10 days to and including 19.01.07.
