Race 1 WELLINGTON HOUNDS @ MANAWATU - C1 - 297 ROCKET WOLF ran out from the start and forced MONTECITO wide over extra ground in the race to the first corner.
Race 2 SPICERS PAPER SPRINT - C1 - 297 KIA KAHA ran out from the start and crowded several others with SMART ZAC the most affected. KIA KAHA continued to race wide over extra ground and probably cost itself the win.
Race 3 PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C2 - 297 BIGTIME JOY was handy to the first corner but was checked and dropped out to finish several lengths last. BIGTIME JOY was examined by the Vet and was found to have a fractured leg and was euthanased. EMILIE ONE A & J Hall Rule 64.10 In a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 20.01.07. BIGTIME JOY D.Gough Rule 82 Suffered a fractured leg and was euthanased.
Race 4 TOTAL BODY SHOP STAKES - C1 - 505 NO WARNING, EL GRINGO, BOLD JENNI, LITTLE GYMNIST and NOOKYS WINK all ran wide and lost ground after crowding on the first corner.
Race 5 ACCSYS FOR QUICKBOOKS - C2/3 - 297 Last start winner SPECIAL EFFECTS led early in the race but was checked twice on the bend and dropped out to finish last. SHARIMORE and SAILAH JAYNE were both checked on the first corner, went back to the rear and never recovered.
Race 6 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C2/3 - 297 STARLIGHT WOODS ran out at the start and checked KEEN PRECISION who settled well back. TRISTAN FLEX was bumped and forced wide on the bend and dropped back to finish in last place.
Race 7 CAMBRIDGE HOTEL WELLINGTON - C1 - 505 The start of this event and the next were delayed by two minutes each at the request of the T.A.B. All clear.
Race 8 UPPER VALLEY PANEL STAKES - C2 - 505 RAVEN LOU and PATRICIA SHERRY were tightened and dropped back early in the race. PATRICIA SHERRY recovered to win but RAVEN LOU tailed the field throughout and finished last.
Race 9 EXCHANGE HOTEL - LOWER HUTT - C3 - 505 All clear. FLIPPITY JIBBIT B.Melville Rule 82 Suffered toe injuries and stood down for 21 days to and including 16.01.07.
Race 10 EL CHEAPO CARS STAKES - C4/5 - 505 All clear. ISA DUSTY E.Norris Rule 82 Suffered from toe injuries and stood down for 21 days to and including 16.01.07.
Race 11 ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS SPRINT - C4 - 297 TEDDY TYLER began very awkwardly, lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. TIMTAGEL STAR and SHIKANA were tightened and checked on the first corner and dropped back to near the rear and finished well back. VINNYMORE I.Moore Rule 82 Suffered from a pectoreus muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 05.01.07
Race 12 SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE - PETONE - C4/5 - 297 REBEL ALLIANCE moved out in the run to the first corner and collided with BIGTIME JULIE and fell. BIGTIME JULIE and THRILLING FLYNN lost several lengths and all chance. REBEL ALLIANCE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
