Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer, H.R.Bond was officially warned under Rule 68.6 for being 5 minutes late for kennelling procedures.

Prior to Race 12, Trainer D.Fahey, expressed concern to Stewards in relation to several pad injuries having been detected during the meeting. Stewards advised Mr Fahey that this matter had been discussed with the Track Maintenance Manager, Starter and Veterinary Surgeon without a conclusive reason for those pad injuries being ascertained however additional track maintenance had taken place during the meeting as a precautionary measure. Stewards inspected the 527 mtr starting area of the track again after Race 12 which revealed no obvious problem and relayed the concerns received onto Club Management for further consideration. There were 4 reported pad injuries (3 in Race 7 and 1 in Race 14) for the meeting.

Race 14. Winsome Show (J & D Fahey) Following the running of this race a graze to the left hind main pad of this greyhound was detected. The recommended stand down by the Officiating Veterinary Surgeon was 7 days under Rule 82.1. Following discussion between Mr Fahey and the Veterinary Surgeon about the injury Mr Fahey advised Stewards that he would begin immediate treatment of it and was very hopeful that repair could be achieved quickly. He also advised Stewards that provided the treatment was successful, he would be requesting a review of the stand down restriction imposed in accordance with Rule 82.5 as the greyhound is entered for the Waikato GRC meeting on 24.12.06.

Race 7. Palone (M.Robinson) recorded a 1.6kg underweight variance at kennelling however following a pre race veterinary examination was a late scratching due to dehydration / travel stress and a 2 day stand down period from racing imposed.

Entering the first turn Trendy Time and Elite Paradise came together with both being checked slightly. Alassandro ran very wide on the first turn, lost ground and never recovered finishing last. Nearing the end of the back straight Trendy Time moved inwards to the rail and severely checked Surf It Up which was always towards the rear thereafter. |

Origin Teddy was handy early then appeared to falter on the first turn before drifting out to finish a distant last. Suissa and Mrs Goodley came together for several strides after 25 mtrs. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Suissa (fav), Mrs Goodley, Homebush Duncan, Leslies Pearl and Andwyn. San Shin and Homebush Lee took evasive action from this incident by running very wide. |

Homebush Bubbles moved outwards on the first turn and severely checked Winsome Gem which in a chain reaction took the path of and severely checked Cawbourne Baron which almost fell and never recovered finishing last. Entrepreneur was severely inconvenienced in this incident.
