Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 4. Following the race performance of Tourist Jack and a subsequent veterinary examination which detected no injury, Stewards require this greyhound to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 81.

Race 5. Stewards observed two incidents in this race.
Thrilling Pirate (N.Udy) was observed to turn it's head outwards on the first turn when leading but made no contact with any other runner however shortly after appeared to have run outwards and come together with Foreign Diplomat. Unfortunately the head on video coverage of this incident was not complete due to the camera angle and therefore the exact sequence of events and degree of contact, if any, was inconclusive. The Trainer was shown a video replay of the race and advised that Thrilling Pirate would not be charged on this occasion however a Satisfactory Trial is required under Rule 81 and that the racing manners of this greyhound will be closely monitored. A post race veterinary examination of Thrilling Pirate had detected no injury.

On the bend Plenty Of Dash (W.Steele) ran outwards lost focus, momentum and commitment and caused severe checks to Thrilling Pirate and Foreign Diplomat with these three runners then finishing at the rear of the field. The Trainer's representative, T.Steele, was shown the video replay of the incident and advised that Stewards would be charging the greyhound with a breach of Rule 80.1(b). Following discussion and consideration the breach was admitted by T.Steele and a 28 day suspension imposed under Rule 80.1(i) which also requires that a Satisfactory Trial be completed under Rule 81. A post race veterinary examination of Plenty Of Dash had detected no injury.

Mundays Thunder ran inwards at the start and inconvenienced Token Enforcer and Black Limousine. Mundays Thunder moved outwards on the home turn and checked Black Limousine. A post race veterinary examination of Thrilling Lazer detected a minor pad injury not requiring a stand down from racing. A post race veterinary examination of Our Hannah detected a graze to the main pad on the left hind requiring a 7 day stand down from racing. A post race veterinary examination of Gatlin Ghost detected no injury. Our Hannah (M.J.Lozell). Graze to main pad left hind. Rule 82.1. 7 days to and including 16.12.06.
Race 2 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS DASH - C0 - 318 Dreams Are Free was the slowest to begin then raced very wide throughout finishing last.
Race 3 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C5 - 318 Kylie's Dilema ran inwards at the start and checked Time Over Boots slightly. Entering the first turn Who Nose moved outwards slightly and checked Kylie's Dilema. Time Over Boots ran wide on the bend and inconvenienced Stooge slightly. Commands and Mac McLeod came together for a stride on the home turn. Aztec Keroma (N.Udy). Sprained left infraspinatus muscle. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 18.12.06.
Race 4 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DISTANCE FEATURE - C0d - 603 Tent Top and Investigate were the slowest to begin. Aria Allen moved outwards on the first turn and severely checked Investigate. Tourist Jack raced in 6th position early then ran awkwardly and very wide on the turn out of the home straight and was always at the rear thereafter finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary examination detected no injury. Due to an unsatisfactory performance this greyhound is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to being nominated to race. Emulate (2nd) changed ground outwards across the heels of Miss Gray in the home straight and checked itself at a crucial stage of the race. Tourist Jack (L.Nixon). Satisfactory Trial. Rule 81.
Race 5 OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C4 - 318 Plenty Of Dash and Loaded Gun were the slowest to begin. On the first turn Thrilling Pirate looked outwards and then shortly after appeared to have moved outwards (inconclusive) and come together with Foreign Diplomat momentarily. On the bend Thrilling Pirate was tightened and severely checked between Foreign Diplomat and Plenty Of Dash when Plenty Of Dash ran outwards and at the same time lost focus and momentum (refer Judicial). On the home turn Loaded Gun ran outwards sharply and severely checked itself and Plenty Of Dash. Post race veterinary examinations were ordered for Thrilling Pirate, Plenty Of Dash and Foreign Diplomat with only Foreign Diplomat sustaining an injury requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Foreign Diplomat (B & L Craik). Pain on extension of left elbow and lameness. Rule 82.1. 14 days to and including 23.12.06. Plenty Of Dash (W.Steele). Suspended / Satisfactory Trial. Rule 80.1(b) (i). 28 days to and including 07.01.07. Thrilling Pirate (N.Udy). Satisfactory Trial. Rule 81.
Race 6 CAROL'S TAB PUKEKOHE STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Ash's Assassin was the slowest to begin. Ash's Assassin and Thrilling Liz came together on the first bend with Thrilling Liz being checked.
Race 7 PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS DASH - C3 - 318 Mallee Jack and Joebees Jet were the slowest to begin. Togetherness ran inwards at the start and inconvenienced Rock It Hound. Bullet Blue ran very wide and awkwardly around the home turn when at the rear of the field. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected an injury requiring a 30 day stand down from racing. Final Objective (N.P.Green). Dropped back muscle near hind. No Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.14. 28 days to and including 05.01.07. Bullet Blue (S.C.Mann). Pain on flexion of right hock. Rule 82.1. 30 days to and including 08.01.07.
Race 8 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD - C2 - 318 Thrilling Snoop, Suitability, Mrs Goodley and Suissa were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Suitability ran inwards and made contact with the running rail and was severely checked. A post race veterinary examination detected no injury. Suitability and Lipslide Skinny came together after 25 mtrs with both being checked slightly. Thrilling Snoop, Lipslide Skinny and Our Freddie jostled for several strides prior to the first turn. Ray Reeb (N.P.Green). Skin laceration to left anti braehium. Vet certificate supplied .Rule 64.13. 14 days to and including 22.12.06. Andwyn (S.P.Clark). Nail bed infection left fore digit 5. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 7 days to and including 16.12.06.
Race 9 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C1 - 318 Giggilo Gee Jay and Thrilling Bernie were the slowest to begin. General tightening after 25 mtrs resulted in checks of varying degrees to Stacey's Way, Keroma Safari, Cracker Hand and Thrilling Bernie. Nearing the first turn Giggilo Gee Jay slightly clipped the heels of and severely checked Stacey's Way. On the first turn Kapai Rita moved inwards and checked Cracker Hand. Giggilo Gee Jay and Stacey's Way came together nearing the home turn with Giggilo Gee Jay being severely checked.
Race 10 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6 PAK STAKES - C1 - 527 Romano Reason and Thrilling Turbo were the slowest to begin. That Girl ran inwards at the start and severely checked Sweet Teddy, Thrilling Turbo and Romano Reason. Entering the first turn Thrilling Turbo and Romano Reason came together for a stride with both being checked slightly. Shortly after Riconiak moved inwards and came together with Hoksilato and Thrilling Dane resulting in all three being severely checked. Nearing the end of the back straight Thrilling Dane moved inwards and checked Hoksilato.
