Judicial report: Weather: Fine Alleged Trainers Car Park incident at the AGRC meeting held on 05.11.06.
The GRNZ Northern Region Stewards Panel has investigated this alleged incident including the interviewing of the relevant Licenced Persons and witnesses. It is the unanimous decision of the Stewards that no offence occurred under the rules and therefore no charges will be laid in relation to the matter. Serious underlying factors relating to two of the Licensed Persons involved have been referred to GRNZ with a recommendation from the Stewards that a formal Mediation Conference be conducted between the parties as soon as possible.

Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - C0 - 527 Little Sod and Miss Summer Rose were the slowest to begin. Gatlin Ghost and Our Hannah came together at the start with both being checked. Surf It Up ran inwards at the start and checked Blue Twirl which was also carted inwards and checked Riconiak (winner). Entering the first turn Miss Summer Rose and Little Sod came together with both being severely checked. Blue Twirl ran outwards across the heels of Gatlin Ghost on the first turn. Entering the back straight Little Sod changed ground outwards, drifted and showed no improvement thereafter finishing last. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury. Tiodi (A.Cleaver). Diarrhoea with dehydration. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 03.12.06.
Race 2 PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS DASH - C0 - 318 The start of this race was delayed 1 minute at the request of TAB Trackside. That Bloke and Feng Shui were the slowest to begin. Zac Attack ran inwards at the start checking Giggilo Gee Jay which in turn moved inwards and checked Midget Racer. Shortly after (35 mtrs) severe general tightening resulted in That Bloke clipping the heels of Midget Racer and falling heavily. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected an injury requiring a 5 day stand down from racing. That Bloke (A.Cleaver). Pain on left hip extension. Rule 82.1. 5 days to and including 30.11.06.
Race 3 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD DASH - C1 - 318 Charlston Deal, Stacey's Way and Shanti were the slowest to begin. Astro Sharrie raced very wide throughout covering a lot of extra ground and finishing 6th. Entering the first turn Fancy Lee and Thrilling Bird came together for a stride with both being checked slightly. Stacey's Way was denied racing room and checked as a result of this incident then moved outwards severely checking Trasit racing on it's outer in the process. Thrilling Bird ran very wide on the home turn. Spyridon Louis (A.Cleaver). Gastroenteritis. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 5 days to and including 30.11.06. Sudoku Solver (G.Calverley). Lameness right fore and infected lateral pad. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 04.12.06.
Race 4 CAROL'S TABS' STAKES - C2/3 - 527 Killer Touch was the slowest to begin and made up ground well for along the rail for 2nd. Ash's Assassin and Ivals Folly came together nearing the first turn with both being checked. Ivals Folly appeared to negotiate the first turn awkwardly before drifting out to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary examination of the runner detected an injury requiring a 42 day stand down from racing. Coach Purdon galloped awkwardly from the start before drifting out to finish a distant 7th. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury and Mrs B Craik (Trainer's Authorized Person) was advised that the immediate race performances of this greyhound will be closely monitored. A post race veterinary examination of Tempest Lass detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. Ivals Folly (D.van Meeuwen).Torn left gracilis muscle. Rule 82.1. 42 days to and including 06.01.07. Tempest Lass (J.A.Cleaver). Deep spike wound to left fore. Rule 82.1. 10 days to and including 05.12.06.
Race 5 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C4 - 318 Wild Kentucky and Loaded Gun were the slowest to begin. Positive Force and Prince Flex came together at the start with both being checked. Entering the first turn Prince Flex was tightened between runners, dropped back into the path of and severely checked Positive Force and Loaded Gun.
Race 6 OXYSHOT NEW ZELAND DASH - C5 - 318 Time Over Boots and Spring Storm were the slowest to begin. Flash Shooter, Deadlock, Tarrah and MacMcLeod came together at the start with all being checked. Time Over Boots and Spring Storm jostled nearing the first turn with both suffering severe checks. Deadlock also checked in this incident. Time Over Boots then raced very wide for the remainder of the race finishing last.
Race 7 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD STAKES - C1 - 527 There was no 'head on' video coverage of this race available from TAB Trackside. Bold Jeni, Kaimai Belle, Sable Raeder and Bet She Can were all slow to begin. Kaimai Belle ran very wide on the first turn and remained wide throughout the race finishing 6th. Booming Time ran very wide on the first bend, lost momentum and focus when running 3rd before drifting out to finish 7th. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. On the first bend Bet She Can drifted from being 4th in the running to finish last. Stewards took into account that this greyhound had not raced since 31.08.06. That Girl (A.Cleaver). Diarrhoea with dehydration. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 03.12.06. Booming Time (J.R.Udy). Pain on neck flexion, left hip extension and right elbow extension. Rule 82.1. 10 days to and including 05.12.06.
Race 8 TRILLIAN TRUST DASH - C2/3 - 318 Movie Man was the slowest to begin. Thrilling Kelly, Hot Doc and Togetherness came together at the start with all being checked slightly. Movie Man and Hot Doc jostled for several strides around the bend. Thrilling Kelly ran wide on the home turn.
Race 9 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C1 - 318 Distinctly Roys was slow to begin. General tightening after 40 mtrs resulted in checks to Kapai Rua, Maggy Jay, Dream On Cyrus and Winsome Gypsy. This interference was on-going to the first turn and included further checks of varying degrees to the abovementioned runners plus Distinctly Roys and Montecito. Montecito was denied a passage along the rail on the bend and then changed ground outwards.
Race 10 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SIX PAK STAKES - C4/5 - 527 The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes at the request of TAB Trackside. Rowland Reason, Bailed Out and Secret Teddy were the slowest to begin. Bailed Out collided with the hind quarters of Secret Teddy on the first turn then moved outwards into the path of Rowland Reason. Both of these runners were severely checked and lost all chance finishing at the rear. A post race veterinary examination of Bailed Out detected an injury requiring a 12 day stand down from racing. Thrilling Sam (G.E.Harding). Torn sheath left long head triceps muscle. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 03.12.06. Bailed Out (S.P.Clark). Lacerations requiring sutures. Rule 82.1. 12 days to and including 07.12.06.
