Judicial report: Weather: Fine M.Gardner the Trainer of JUST A DRIP was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 89.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.4 kilograms overweight. ( 2nd offence )
M.McDonnell the Trainer of WIND SURFER was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 89.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.3 kilograms overweight. ( 2nd offence ),
At an enquiry reconvened from Wanganui on 22.11.06 , Trainer B.Cole was charged under Rule 88.1 q with an act which could be detrimental or prejudicial to the image of Greyhound racing when he had encouraged the dog BIGTIME FOX TROT to excrete in the parade area prior to racing. Mr Cole elected to admit the charge and was fined $ 150-00.
At an enquiry reconvened from Wanganui on 22.11.06, Trainer W.T.Hodgson was charged under Rule 88.1 o with behaving in an improper manner towards another Trainer. Mr Hodgson elected to admit the charge and after taking into account the fact that there were several conflicting accounts of what had been said by Mr Hodgson, a fine of $ 200-00 was imposed.

EXCEPTIONAL KOLA was a late scratching when found to have a broken tail when removed from the kennels. The start was delayed a further 3 minutes when the lure wire came free from the jaws in the run up and the dogs were removed from the boxes while the lure wire was reattached and tested. One of the favourites ISA DUSTY was one of the last away and was then checked on the first corner, went back to last and stayed there to the finish.
