I.Moore the Trainer of TUAMORE was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms underweight. ( 1st offence )
C.Clark the Trainer of GYPSY'S MATE was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight. ( 1st offence in 3 months )
J.Elers the Trainer of DUSTYS REWARD was fined $ 150-00 under Rule 88.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight. ( 3rd offence in 3 months )
J & J Tapiki the Trainers of BONIFIED were fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1 when the dog was presented 1.1 kilograms overweight. ( 1st offence in 3 months )

MCMURDO faltered and stopped quickly on the home turn and finished a long distance behind the other runners. he was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a fractured hock. The start was further delayed by another 2 minutes when it was discovered that ROCKING QUEEN was wearing the wrong number rug under the wet weather cover . The handler P.Raven was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1 and the Kennel Steward responsible for checking, H.Ellison was also fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1. The race was all clear. |

One of the favourites BRITE OPAWA was checked entering the back straight and lost all chance of a placing.
