Race 2 | HAMPDEN TAVERN STAKES - C2 - 520 | FANTASY FAIR was slow to jump passing one runner in the straight to finish seventh. On the home turn FANTASY FAIR and WHATA PLAN came together for a few strides. Favourite LAGOON TALLIS ran wide around the first bend losing ground but once balanced made good ground to finish second. |
Race 3 | BARRONS SUPPLIES SPRINT - C1 - 295 | General tightening into the first bend resulted in NOT A WHATA, TO CASUAL and favourite ANOTHER LAUREL all receiving checks. NOT A WHATA and ANOTHER LAUREL remained well back with TO CASUAL recovering and finishing a good fourth. OUT COLD was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a right hock injury with a fourteen day stand down recommended. OUT COLD (LJ Waretini) injury to right hock. Race 4 | SUPER PETS DASH - C2 - 295 | SUZY SANDSTORM ran inwards racing into the first bend checking itself, RAILS BOOKMAKER and SILVER CRISIS. POTENTIAL ROGUE, who had been slow to jump, received the backwash of this incident. These dogs all finished well back. THAT VIRUS (MM Grant) right shoulder muscle injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 November 2006. |
Race 5 | $20K PICK SIX LEG ONE - C1 - 520 | All clear. CLAN BLUE (HG Cairns) was a late scratching at kennelling with diarrhoea. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 12 November 2006. PALONE (M Robinson) was a late scratching after he vomited in the kennels. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 12 November 2006. |
Race 6 | TRACKSIDE DINING PH 338 6145 SPRINT - C1 - 295 | BAXTER SUE and HOMEBUSH SQUIRT were forced wide around the first bend losing their chances and finishing towards the rear. FLAT WHITE was held up for a run around the first bend but once in the clear finished powerfully for second. WHERES YABREEKS (MJ Flipp) stood down at Southland GRC on 3 November 2006. Race 7 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C1 - 520 | On the home turn MCCRACKENS BOY and HIDDEN SECRETS both checked outwards when looking for racing room. These dogs both ran on for second and fifth respectively. |
Race 8 | MCDUFFS WORLD OF GOLF SPRINT - C2/3 - 295 | Favourite SLAVE DRIVER and HIGH FLYIN TEDDY jostled around the first bend and again came together on the home turn losing their chances. |
Race 9 | CUP & GALAXY HEATS THIS FRIDAY SPRINT - C4/5 - 295 | CLAN ONYX, FOUL PLAY and WHATA TOWN all received checks as a result of WALS WOICE crossing sharply to lead at the end of the back straight. Of these checked dogs FOUL PLAY was the only one to make ground finishing a good third. |
Race 10 | CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C3/4 - 520 | MICRO LITE was slow to jump and remained well back throughout. |
