Judicial report: Weather: fine Following Race No seven the Stewards sought the opinion of Licenced Trainer Mr. Ian Hastie (Club Track Deligate ) Re the incident in this race where Bassai Dai fell and fractured it's hock after extensive viewing of the video of this incident both side on and head on Mr. Hastie concured with the stewards view that this was a racing incident and could not be attributed to the track conditions.
Trainer Mrs C Derecourt was charged with a breach of Rule 69 11. The Charge Sheet Stated that Mrs Derecourt produced the greyhound Stormy Knight 1.4, kgs up in weight at 36.7 Kgs from when this greyhound last raced on the 12 10 2006 at 35 3 Kgs. Mrs Derecourt admitted the breach of rule 69 1 and did not wish to be present at the hearing of this charge. As this was Mrs Derecourt's first offence under the provisions of this rule a fine of $50.00 was imposed in this instance..
Following this meeting the Stewards had a meeting with the Clubs Management re track conditions on the day. The Stewards were satisfied that Club Management were doing everything in there power to address the Stewards concerns re the racing surface.
The Stewards opened an inquiry under Rule 38 1 (b) and Rule 38 3 (a) into an alleged incident which occurred in the Trainers Car Park At The Auckland Greyhound Racing Clubs Meeting of the 5/11/06. This hearing was opened and adjourned.

Race 1	STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C0 - 318	Thrilling Wanda and Little Sod were the slowest to begin. Racing into the first bend Stormy Knight came back onto Rosetta checking itself and Rosetta. In this incident Rosetta after receiving this check dropped back and checked Thrilling Wanda. As the field raced around the home bend On Angels Wings which was leading shifted out slightly, Ashbourne Falcon, which was progressing around On Angels Wings was checked when Ashbourne Falcon cut across to the rails. There was no head on video coverage of this race.
Race 2	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - HEAT 1 - C0q - 527 Heat 1	El Doo, Sable Raeder and Miss Sumer Rose were the slowest to begin. Racing into the first turn El Doo ran out and checked itself Lady Dot and Romano Reason. Racing into the first turn Tiodi came across and ducked to the rail checking itself when this runner made contact with Riconiak and Romano Reason. Around the first bend Riconiak which was racing in a three wide position outside the leader tried to get to the rail and indoing so checked Tiodi which dropped back sharply causing a severe check to El Doo this runner could not avoid Tiodi and dropped back sharply after this incident
Race 3	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD DASH - C4 - 318	Milena Miss was slow to begin . As the field raced towards the first turn Secret Teddy tried to get to the rail, in doing so Secret Teddy struck the running rail and came back onto Togetherness which was turned sideways and suffered a severe check. After this interferance to Togetherness this runner ran out and collided with Milena Miss forcing Milena Miss into the outside fence. Milena Miss suffered head injuries in this incident and was uthenased by the officiating veterinarian at the trainers request. A post race Veterinary Examination of Secret Teddy disclosed no injuries. Milena Miss ( W Steel) Head Injuries Uthenased
Race 4	CAROL'S TABS' STAKES - C2/3 - 527	Rivette Reason was the slowest to begin. Racing into the first bend Raheny Reason ran out slightly and pushed Killer Touch onto Awesome Hit, Killer Touched was squeezed for room . After this check Awesome Hit was forced out and contacted Kaimai Gold which inturn contacted Holah A Hypo all of these runners suffered checks in this incident. Killer Touch dropped back and checked Just A Don in this incident also.
Race 5	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - HEAT 2 - C0q - 527 Heat 1	Black Limousine and Clutters were the slowest to begin. Racing into the first turn Token Enforcer ran out and checked itself and Razzy. Razzy as a result of this interferance fell and was put out of the race. A post race Veterinary examination of Razzy found no abnormality.
Race 6	OXYSHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C5 - 318	Maxi The Taxi was the slowest to begin. Full Of Flare began well and raced across the field to the rail causing general tightning to all runners on it's inside namely Hypouumunga, Time Over Boots Mac Mcleod, Kylie's Delema and Maxi The Taxi.. After the star Hypoumunga and Mac Mcleod came together. Time Over Boots came off the rail in the run to the first turn and checked itself, Maxi The Taxi, Kylie's Dilema and Mac McLeod. Reserve Decision ( S P Clark) Injured in race Right Dew Claw Torn Skin Sutured Rule 82 1 14 day stand down to and including 18 11 06.
Race 7	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD STAKES - C1 - 527	Take The Micky was the slowest to begin. Racing into the first turn Bassai Dai which was trailing the leader into this bend was galloped on from behind by Hoksilato causing Bassai Dai to fall in the ensuing mealy all other runners were checked to varying degrees apart from Tempest Lass the leader at this point of the race. A post race veterinary examination of Reserve Decision revealed an injury to this runners Right Fore Dew Claw which required Suture Bassai Dai was injured in this fall and suffered a fractured hock this runner was uthenased by the officiating veterinary surgeon. Race 8	PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS DASH - C1/2 - 318	Marissa Bale and Mrs goodley were the slowest to begin. After the start Best Place and Marissa Bale came together for a stride. Mrs Goodley ran in after the start and checked itself and Marisa Bale for a stride.A post race veterinary examination of Marrisa Bale revealed a dislocated digit 4, p3,p4 joint requiring a 60 stand down from racing Marissa Bale (G N Pomeroy) Injured in race dislocated Digit 4 P2 P3 Joint Rule 82 1 60 day stand down to and including 03 01 07.
Race 9	WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C1 - 318
Race 10	THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SIX PACK STAKES - C4/5 - 527	Ashe's Assassin and Time Solves were the slowest to begin. After the start Time solves ran onwards and contacted Hello Awesome for a stride. After the start Johnny came across to the rail contacting Coruba Rush checking this runner .Ash's assassin came out after the start and contacted Coruba Rush checking itself. Racing into the first turn Selkahs Legend came out and checked itself and Bubba Hotep. Time Solves as this runner progressed around the home turn was observed to falter this runner suffered a hock injury and was uthenased by the officiating veterinary surgeon. Time Solves ( A P & D D Schofield) Hock Fracture Uthenased
