Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer HG Cairns was fined $150.00 (fourth offence in past three months) when Clan Nova weighed in 1.3 kgs under its last race weight.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE STAKES - C2 - 520 Hot favourite WINSOME BLITZ was very slow to jump but improved around the outside of the field throughout the race to finish second.
Race 2 AWESOME PAUL SPRINT - C2 - 295 Into the first bend POTENTIAL ROGUE tightened RAILS BOOKMAKER and HEEZ BACK IN with resultant checks to CLAN NOVA, BRUNO DIABLO and JEMALONG EASTERN all of who lost their chances. HEART OF PROMISE was observed to faulter over the concluding stages dropping out to finish fifth. A post race veterinary check revealed the dog to have cramped up with no stand down recommended. IMA LLOYDIE (KJ Cassidy) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 26 November 2006.
Race 3 HOUNDS 4 HOMES PH 03 312 1699 - C0 - 295 DARK DANCER was very slow to jump losing ten lengths finishing last. HOMEBUSH JOY received a check shortly after the start and was checked again by WHIPWHOP MISS into the bend. Both dogs finished towards the rear. RAMAHANA ROSIE (M Robinson) puncture wound to chest. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 12 November 2006.
Race 4 GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND SPRINT - C2 - 295 TAIM BIHAIN was slow to jump finishing near the rear.
Race 5 TOKEN FEVER STAKES - C1 - 520 The eventual winner COOL PILGRIM received a slight check early in the race off THRILLING PIPER with MCCRACKENS BOY and BAGTOWN BOY being forced wide around the first bend. These dogs finished midfield. JOHNNY BAXTER (JT McInerney) scratched at Otago GRC on 29 October 2006. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 6 November 2006.
Race 6 RUDI JEWEL SPRINT - C1 - 295 UPBEAT was the last to jump passing a few in the run home to finish fifth. HEZA BOOF checked off the heels of the eventual winner WHISKY LEE GIRL into the first bend losing ground and finishing in fourth place.
Race 7 BILLS BAR & BISTRO DASH - C1 - 295 HOMEBUSH CARLIN was tightened into the first bend and checked off IN YOUR FACE. In the aftermath TWISTER SISTER, CASH COOKER and AWESOME BROWNIE all received severe checks and lost their chances finishing at the rear. NGAWI BAY (RD Blackburn) was a late scratching at kennelling with a left hock strain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 14 days up to and including 13 November 2006.
Race 8 OIZDON SPICE STAKES - C1 - 520 JACKPOT JACK was slow to jump settling last before passing three dogs in the run home. Hot favourite LAGOON TALLIS was only fairly away and checked when attempting to improve off the back of LADY MAUREEN around the top turn. He lost momentum at this stage finishing sixth. Race 9 MURRAY AT REMAX PH 371 5005 DASH - C0 - 295 DWACK was checked in between BELLY GIRL and RUN LIKE GEORGE shortly after the start and dropped back to last. This dog was also observed to brush the running rail shortly after. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. SUM TOTAL (JM Jopson) toe sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 12 November 2006.
Race 10 TUESDAY PLACE PICK SPRINT - C1 - 295 JESSIE BLUE missed the start by a large margin and passed one dog in the run home.
Race 11 ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C5 - 520 EMULATE was tightened into the first bend settling last before running on for its fifth placing. At the lure TOMMY LEE WHISKY stumbled and was pushed under the inside rail. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. WHISKY BOY (JT McInerney) infected right fore toe. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 3 November 2006.
Race 12 BARRON'S SUPPLIES SPRINT - C3/4 - 295 HOMEBUSH BONNIE was tightened into the first bend losing momentum. She recovered to finish fourth.
Race 13 ON-COURSE $8 ROAST & REFRESHMENT DASH - C1 - 295 KIWI YOUNG was squeezed when DASH DOT DASH improved around it into the first bend and lost ground. She never recovered finishing seventh. TAMBOOLI and HOMEBUSH LARKIN were tightened and lost ground soon after with both dogs drifting to the rear and staying there. MULBERRY SNOOP (KJ Cassidy) dehydration. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 5 November 2006.
Race 14 NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN HEAT 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1 PATRICK RIGHT and SMOOTH GIRL came together around the first bend when racing at the rear. A charge under Rule 80.1 was preferred against the winner ZAMWHEN for an incident in the home straight and the dog was stood down for a period of twenty-eight days. WHISKY'S LAD (JT McInerney) dehydration. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 3 November 2006. MIDDY KIM (JR Goode) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a laceration to his right fore web. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 9 November 2006. ZAMWHEN (R Casey) Rule 80.1. Stood down for 28 days up to and including 27 November 2006.
Race 15 NUTRI-ZING MAIDEN HEAT 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 1 ANOTHER PRIDE was badly checked out of the front straight losing ground and settling well back.
Race 16 CONTAINERMAN SPRINT - C3/4 - 295 CLAN ONYX was tightened into the first bend losing ground and remaining well back. Hot favourite NERVOUS WAVE was again slow to jump but made ground strongly to finish second.
Race 17 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C3 - 520 SISSINGHURST faltered into the first bend when vying for the lead in the centre of the track, pulling up quickly. A post race veterinary check revealed a hairline fracture of the left hock with a twenty one day stand down recommended. HOMEBUSH FALCON (JT McInerney) bruised right fore toe. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 8 days up to and including 6 November 2006. SISSINGHURST (Lawrence/ Lockett) Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 20 November 2006.
Race 18 ADDINGTON FUNCTION CENTRE DASH - C1 - 295 TO CASUAL was checked into the first bend and recovered well to finish a close second. WHERE'S ANOTHER was observed to run very wide taking BAXTER SUE off the track with it. These dogs lost all chance in this incident. Trainer was advised to improve the dog's racing manners.
Race 19 SUPER PETS DASH - C3 - 295 Hot favourite SLAVE DRIVER was very slow from the outside and ROCHDALE LAD was also tardy from the boxes. CLAN ORA ran out sharply on the home turn checking THAT VIRUS, SLAVE DRIVER and ROCHDALE LAD. Of these dogs SLAVE DRIVER stormed down the outside to run third.
Race 20 $20K CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C5 - 295 JUST ROCKIN was slow to jump settling at the rear never improving.
