Licenced Trainer Mr. David D Schofield was given a final warning under the provisions of Rule 71 (2) for being late to present his runner Cawbourne Baron for this race.
Race No 4
Licenced Handler Mr. K Ferris was given an Official Warning, under the provisions of Rule 71 (2) for being late for presentaion of the greyhound Funny Girl in this race.
Race No 9
A Charge was laid against Licenced Trainer, Mr. S C Mann following this race, under the provisions of Rules 68 (1), 62 (2) and 68 (6).
It was alleged by the Prosecuting Steward Mr G Bennett that Mr. S C Mann Trainer of Bullet Blue, was late in presenting this greyhound for veterinary examination and kennelling due no later than 3.50 pm actual time of presentaion 4.07 pm.
Mr. Mann was 17 minutes late on this occasion
Mr. Mann was present at the hearing of this charge and admitted the breach of these rules.
After hearing from Mr. Mann on matters he wished to put forward in mitigation and submissions on penalty from both the Prosecuting Steward and Mr. Mann, the Ajudicating Steward, imposed a fine of $100.00 on this occasion.
The Stewards spoke to both Mr. S C Mann and Mr. R P O'Regan advisedly, in relation to behaviour when returning from race nine.
Following receipt of a subsequent complaint the stewards have opened and ajourned an inquiry under the provisions of Rule 38 1 (b).
General
The Stewards are concerned that some trainers are arriving late for presentaion of greyhounds for races and for kennelling.
Trainers are reminded of the provisions of Rules 71 (1) , 71 (2) , 68 (2) and 68 (6)

Race 1	STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C0 - 318	Riconiak and Scrap Metalman were the slowest to begin After the start Siska Sunset ran out and contacted Rosetta both of these runners raced together buffeting each other eventually Siska Sunset dropped back to the rear. A post race veterinary examination of That Bloke revealed a minor spike wound to the right hind palmer surface requiring a 5 day stand down. This race was delayed by one minute at the request of the TAB. Santas Awesome (N P Green) Right Supgrficial Pectoral Muscle Injury. Dog Presented. Vet Certificate supplied Rule 64 12. 7 days to and including 20-10-06 That Bloke ( A Cleaver) Minor Spike Wound Rule 82 1. 5 days to and including 19 10 06
Race 2	'HAPPY 21ST NATHAN' DASH - C1 - 318	Thrilling Finch and Call Me Loyal were the slowest to begin After the start Hosannas Return which started from box 3 ran in towards the rail and checked itself, Thrilling Finch and Thrilling Snoop. Thrilling Snoop was badly cheched in this incident. After the start Thrilling Micky and Got Hope came together for a stride. As the field raced into the turn out of the back straight Thrilling Micky contacted Got Hope which inturn contaced Trasit all of these runners were checked to some degree in this incident. Trasit was the worst affected and dropped back sharply, Thrilling Finch which was trailing Tasit cannoned into this runner and fell tumbling for a distance. The fallen Thrilling Finch was in the path of Call Me Loyal and this runner also fell. Racing around the home bend Hosannas Return had to check off the hindquaters of Thrilling Micky Hosannas Return then ran in and contacted the running Rail. A post race veterinary check on Thrilling Finch revealed an injury minor skin wound R wrist and nail injury R hind digit 5 general bruising, requiring a 21 day stand down. A post race Veterinary check on Call Me Loyal revealed pain on extension of right elbow. requiring a 5 day stand down. Thrilling Mist (A Udy) Ex Wanganui 12 10 06 Forever Running ( G J Noakes) Possible Collatoral Ligament Damage P1,P2 Joint Vet Cetificate Supplied Rule 64 12. 28 days to and including 10 11 06. Race 3	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD STAKES - C5 - 527	Thrilling Buzz and Rowland Reason were the slowest to begin. Rowland Reason reared as the lids opened. Hello Awesome and My Charlston came together for several strides as the field raced into the first turn
Race 4	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #6 DISTANCE FINAL - RESdf - 779	Ultra Sting was very slow to begin. Racing into the first turn Gatlin Breezeran in and checked itself and Moccaccino.
Race 5	OXYSHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C5 - 318	As the field raced into the first turn Mo Mistress contacted the hindquaters of Deadlock when this runner crossed to the rail Both of these runners were checked in this incident . Mo Mistress fell when checking off Deadlock and as a result both Spring Storm and Full Of Flare were checked by the fallen Mo Mistress. A post race Veterinary examination of Mo Mistress showed no obvious injury to this runner. Exceptional Kola ( A J & D D Schofield) Split Webbing Front Right Foot Vet Cerificate Supplied. Race 6	CAROL'S TABS' DASH - C3 - 318	Coach Purdon was the slowest to begin. After the start Gunna Flex ran out and contacted Coach Purdon both these runners were checked in this incident. Coach Purdon raced at the rear throughout this race after this incident. Nitro Lad ( B & L Craik) Split Webbing Back Right foot. Rule 64 12. 28 days to and including 09 11 06. Race 7	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C1 - 527	Thrilling Magic was very slow to begin. After the start Thrilling Affair and Thrilling Mac came together when Thrilling Affair crossed to the rail both these runners suffered checks in this incident Thrilling Myna ( A Udy) Turso Metatarsal Joint injury Vet Certificate Supplied Rule 64 12. 14 days to and including 28 10 06
Race 8	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD DASH - C5 - 318	Mr. Miagi was slow to begin. After the start Mac Mcleod ran in and contacted Delta Belle which ran out both of these runners being checked Troubled Times which was racing in tight quarters between Mac Mcleod and Delta Belle was checked in this incident. Troubled Times after this incident then ran inwards and checked itself , Delta Belle and Comical Ali. After this incident Comical Ali then ran out and checked itself and Delta Belle again with both of these runners racing very wide around the turn out of the back straight as did Thrilling Mike.
Race 9	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD DASH - C2 - 318	Augusta Allen and Andwyn were the slowest to begin. After the start Homebush Westie ran in and contacted Talkabout That both of these runners being checked in this incident.Hot Doc also ran inwards after the start and checked itself Yarra River, Talkabout That, Augusta Allen and Lord Maximus.as the field commenced the run home Augusta Allen Yarra River and Lord Maximus came together with these three runners all being checked. San Shin ( D L Annette) (D L Annette) Lethargy Vet Cetificate supplied Dog Presented Rule 64 12. 7 days to and including 19 10 06 Andwyn ( S P Clark) Laceration Right Fore Lateral Carpus Requiring Sutures Rule 82 1. 10 day stand down to and including 24 10 06.
Race 10	THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SIX PACK STAKES - C3/4 - 527	Thrilling Red was the slowest to begin. Racing into the first turn Ridley Reason rails, moved out slightly and pushed Richfield Reason onto Coruba Rush and Raheny Reason which inturn contacted Thrilling Neo onto Mo'em Down all of these runners were checked to a degree in this incident. As the result of this interferance Coruba Rush and Thrilling Neo raced very wide around the first turn.
