Judicial report: Weather: Overcast B.Rangiuia the Trainer of HOMEBUSH LEO was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.2 kilograms overweight. ( 1st offence in last 3 months )
M.Fornasiere was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1 o when a Greyhound in his care escaped and ran loose during a race.
CRYPTIC is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1 before the next Totalisator start.
LIGHTS OFF M.Sutton Rule 80.1 b ii Failed to pursue and stood down for 3 months to and including 01.01.07 ( 2nd offence ) Required to trial under Rule 81.1.
Owner J.Gommans was fined $ 20-00 under Rule 88.1 o for failing to arrange a catcher as required.

Race 1 METEOR PRINTERS - C4 - 305 Oone of the favourites OPAWA JAZZ began very awkwardly, lost several lengths and all chance of a placing, finishing in 5th place. COCKNEY ASSASSIN who was also well supported was handy early but drifted out to finish 3rd last. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. AMANDA CHOICE and HAMMER MY HEART collided on the first corner, ran wide and went back to the rear and stayed there. COCKNEY ASSASSIN S.Drysdale Rule 82 Suffered a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 28.10.06.
Race 2 DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C1q - 305 Heat 1 HOMEBUSH ALLY, TUGS TIP and STRONG BAD were crowded and checked on the first corner and lost several lengths and any chance of a placing. SWAPSY T.Denbee Rule 82 Suffered a spike wound and stood down for 5 days to and including 05.10.06.
Race 3 HEADS ROAD VET - C1 - 520 CRYPTIC was away well but faltered on the first corner and dropped out quickly to finish a long last. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. As this was the 2nd time in two starts that CRYPTIC has appeared sore and finished at the rear, he is required to complete a satisfactory trial before its next Totalisator start. LESHITA was checked when attempting to improve inside the leader on the final bend and this possibly cost her the chance of a closer placing than 3rd. CRYPTIC G.Frost Rule 81.1 Required to complete a satisfactory trial before the next Totalisator start.
Race 4 MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C1q - 305 Heat 1 SPICE AGE and NIAGARA CRESENT were handy to the first corner but were crowded by BIGTIME JULIE, went back quickly and SPICE AGE was galloped on by THRILLING SNOOP and fell. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days. NIGHT NUGGET K.Toomer Rule 64 Has a hock injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 27.10.06. SPICE AGE A & S Frost Rule 82 Suffered a nostril injury and stood down for 5 days to and including 05.10.06.
Race 5 GUTHRIE BOWRON - C0 - 520 SEILATAN and DEADLY PRINCE were very slow to begin and tailed the field on thr first bend. SEILATAN recovered to run 3rd but DEADLY PRINCE finished well back. THRILLING TURBO A.Udy Rule 64 A late scratching due to suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.10.06.
Race 6 VITA POWER - EXCEED - C1q - 305 Heat 1 One of the favourites HOMEBUSH ELVY jostled with VOODOO on the first turn, was then galloped on by OUR SMART BUDDY, ran wide and finished at the rear.
Race 7 WANGANUI SECURITY - C0 - 305 FOOTESEA LASS was galloped on by SPOTTED ALLEGRO on the first turn and fell but was not injured. SPOTTED ALLEGRO then ran wide and forced THOMAS MCGREGOR wide over extra ground and they lost all chance. LIGHTS OFF led until the bend where she eased and allowed THRILLING MIST to reach the front. LIGHTS OFF then pursued again but could not regain the lead and finished 2nd. LIGHTS OFF was stood down for 3 months for a 2nd offence under Rule 80.1 b ii and is required to trial under Rule 81.1. IRON WOMAN T.McCracken Rule 64.10 In a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 27.10.06. LIGHTS OFF M.Sutton Rule 80.1 b ii Failed to pursue the lure and stood down for 3 months to and including 01.01.07. ( 2nd offence )
Race 8 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C2 - 520 ROYAL TAP was improving on the final bend but was checked, lost ground and any chance of a placing.
Race 9 THE RADIO WORKS - C2 - 305 MR BRIGHTSIDE ran in from the start and caused checks to CALL ME CUTE and SHIKANA who lost several lengths and finished well back.
Race 10 SPICERS PAPER - C2/3 - 520 THRILLING DREAM suffered from pad injuries during the race and was stood down for 10 days. THRILLING CLEO A.Udy Rule 64 Has a slight hock injury and was presented and stood down for 3 days to and including 02.10.06. THRILLING DREAM S.Gommans Rule 82 Suffered dew claw and pad injuries and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.10.06.
Race 11 DIMOCKS FURNITURE COURT - C3 - 305 This race was started two minutes late due to a delay in start time for an Australian race. JIMMYTHEONE moved across from the start and caused checks to HOMEBUSH LEE, SHARIMORE and MARISSA BALE who all lost ground with SHARIMORE the only one to recover and she finished in 3rd place. GUNGULLIN suffered from pad injuries during the race and was stood down for 10 days. GUNGULLIN C.Morris Rule 82 Suffered from pad injuries and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.10.06.
Race 12 SOLID GOLD FM - C4/5 - 520 The hot favourite BIG BAD STEFANO led early but faded in the back straight and finished in 4th place. He was examined by the Vet and found to have a sore and swollen neck and was stood down for 10 days. BIG BAD STEFANO A & D Schofield Rule 82 Suffering from a sore and swollen neck and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.10.06.
Race 13 DOUBLE 'S' MOTORDROME - C4 - 305 DUSTY'S DIAMOND moved away from the rail on the first corner and caused checks to FINN O'RILEY and ROYAL AUSTY who lost several lengths and they tailed the field home. WAITAHA RUA D.Bright Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 28 days to and including 26.10.06.
Race 14 KEENAN CONCRETE SIX PACK - C5 - 305 THRILLING DELTA ran in from the start and checked BIGBAD EDNA, WHATA SHAME and THRILLING FLYNN who all lost ground. BEST TELL PIE was also tightened on the first corner and lost a little ground. SEXY DREAM S.Drysdale Rule 64 Suffering from a webbing injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 08.10.06.
