Race 5 | PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C1 - 505 | JEWEL ran onto the heels of OWNEY JOE TARR on the first turn and fell but was not injured. OWNEY JOE TARR lost a little ground but recovered to win. PATRICIA SHERRY and FOG PATCHES also lost ground at that point and tailed the field home from there. |

Race 8 | NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #4 FINAL - RESf - 505 | STAUNCH moved in racing to the first corner and jostled with the favourite ISA DUSTY for several strides and they dropped out to the rear. ISA DUSTY never recovered and finished last while STAUNCH was not far ahead in 3rd last place. |

Race 10 | COMMITTEE SPRINT - C2/3 - 297 | The start of this event was put back 30 minutes after an apparent power surge caused all lights and T.A.B equipment to go down. The race was all clear. |
Race 11 | CLOVERLEA TAVERN - C1 - 297 | This event was started 18 minutes later than the original time due to the power surge earlier on. The winner BIGTIME JULIE moved in in the straight and the 2nd dog CADMUS clipped its heels causing BIGTIME JULIE to falter but she recovered to win. It was observed that BIGTIME JULIE looked in simultaneously as the incident occurred but the benefit of the doubt was given on this occasion. |
