Race 2	SPICERS PAPER - C4 - 297	The favourite GUS THE BUILDER was mid field in the early and middle stages but collided with MR FREEMAN near the home turn and faded to finish in last place. FOUR SQUARE was slow away and then ran wide on the bend and finished well back. HOMEBUSH SNIPPET P.Knight Rule 68 A late scratching due to a sartorial muscle injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 04.10.06.
Race 3	CLOVERLEA TAVERN SIX PACK - C2 - 505	DURAN DURAN and MCTAGGART bumped together in the race to the first corner and SHELLSAL, ESPADRILLE and COMANCHE BRAVE were forced wide on the first bend.
Race 4	MANAWATU SOUND SERVICES - C0 - 505	TUAMORE was checked on the first corner, ran wide on the bend and lost ground.
Race 5	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C1 - 505	JEWEL ran onto the heels of OWNEY JOE TARR on the first turn and fell but was not injured. OWNEY JOE TARR lost a little ground but recovered to win. PATRICIA SHERRY and FOG PATCHES also lost ground at that point and tailed the field home from there.
Race 6	DECO ART LEVIN - C2 - 297	DALLAS MAJOR was checked on the first turn, ran wide and forced DES'REE and ASTRAKHAN wide over extra ground and they filled the last three places at the finish.
Race 7	MANAWATU SECURITY SERVICES - C2/3 - 505	All clear. ARANUI FLASH A Club scratching without penalty.
Race 8	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #4 FINAL - RESf - 505	STAUNCH moved in racing to the first corner and jostled with the favourite ISA DUSTY for several strides and they dropped out to the rear. ISA DUSTY never recovered and finished last while STAUNCH was not far ahead in 3rd last place.
Race 9	C G BOYCE VET, FOXTON - C4/5 - 297	All clear.
Race 10	COMMITTEE SPRINT - C2/3 - 297	The start of this event was put back 30 minutes after an apparent power surge caused all lights and T.A.B equipment to go down. The race was all clear.
Race 11	CLOVERLEA TAVERN - C1 - 297	This event was started 18 minutes later than the original time due to the power surge earlier on. The winner BIGTIME JULIE moved in in the straight and the 2nd dog CADMUS clipped its heels causing BIGTIME JULIE to falter but she recovered to win. It was observed that BIGTIME JULIE looked in simultaneously as the incident occurred but the benefit of the doubt was given on this occasion.
