Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C0 - 318 Nochipin Me and That Girl were the slowest to begin. Glycos Gift moved outwards nearing the first turn and checked itself and That Girl. Entering the first turn Nochipin Me galloped on the heels of and severely checked Glycos Gift with Nochipin Me almost falling as a result. American Bound was forced to jump this runner and lost all chance. That Girl was also checked in this incident. Glycos Gift and That Girl came together for several strides on the bend and around the home turn with both being checked on three occasions. A post race veterinary examination of Nochipin Me detected an injury requiring a 21 day stand down from racing. Nochipin Me (L.Nixon). Interphalangeal ligament damage on right hind. Rule 82.1. 21 days to and including 14.10.06.
Race 2 RODEWALD HART BROWN DASH - C3/4 - 318 Dreamaqueen and Charlston Chill came together for a stride shortly after the start. Time Over Boots moved outwards on the bend and into the path of Dreamaqueen which was checked and dropped back into the path of Maxine's Beauty which was also checked.
Race 3 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C2 - 527 Thrilling Louie and Gentle were slightly slow to begin. Entering the first turn Best Place ran wide and inconvenienced Roulette Reason and Bullet Blue. On the first bend San Shin ran outwards off the rail and severely checked itself, This Time Boots and Best Place. A post race veterinary examination of Autumn Angel detected an injury requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Autumn Angel (G.A.Lawrence). Slit webbing on right fore. Rule 82.1. 14 days to and including 07.10.06.
Race 4 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD DASH - C5 - 318 Loaded Gun was the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Coruba Rush was tightened and checked between runners. Comical Ali moved outwards on the bend and severely checked itself, Loaded Gun and Noble Osti. Nearing the home turn Movie Man changed ground outwards across the hind quarters of Loaded Gun and Noble Osti with all three runners being checked. Shortly after Coruba Rush and Loaded Gun came together for a stride with Loaded Gun suffering a slight check. Troubled Times (S.P.Clark). Late scratching. Open cut on left hind between pad and toes. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 10 days to and including 03.10.06.
Race 5 OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Rowland Reason was the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Thrilling Match and Time Solves came together with both being checked. Time Solves changed ground outwards on the first bend, lost 2 lengths and was always at the rear thereafter. Rowland Reason ran wide on the home turn.
Race 6 CAROL'S TABS' DASH - C5 - 318 MacMcLeod was the slowest to begin then made up ground throughout to finish 2nd. Bailed out was tightened and denied racing room between runners after 20 mtrs. Entering the first turn MacMcLeod and Johnny came together with Johnny then clipping the heels of Mo Mistress, being severely checked and losing 6 lengths.
Race 7 TRILLIAN TRUST DASH - C2 - 318 Big Archie and King Calibre were the slowest to begin. Homebush Westie and Hot Doc came together at the start with both being checked slightly. On the first turn Candy Coated was tightened slightly between runners and dropped back into the path of Kath with both being checked. Suitability (L.Nixon). Late scratching. Left gluteal muscle injury. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 10 days to and including 03.10.06.
Race 8 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD STAKES - C1 - 527 Elite Paradise, Thrilling John and Certainly were the slowest to begin. Ivals Folly and Thrilling Affair came together after 50 mtrs with Thrilling Affair being checked slightly. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in Thrilling Affair having no clear racing room and taking evasive action by running wide and causing severe checks to Elite Paradise and Certainly in the process. Thrilling Zeus was denied racing room for several strides on the first bend when racing on the rail.
Race 9 'WE RACE FRIDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER' - C1 - 318 Night Nugget and Distinctly Roys were slightly slow to begin. Spyridon Louis and Thrilling Kea came together at the start with both being checked slightly. Ray Reeb and Night Nugget came together at the start with both being checked slightly. Ray Reeb and Spyridon Louis jostled for several strides prior to the first turn with Ray Reeb then moving outwards and severely checking itself and Night Nugget. Astro Sharrie (A.Cleaver). Rule 82.1. ex Waikato GRC on 21.09.06.
Race 10 JACK'S BAR SIXPACK STAKES - C3 - 527 Media Frenzy and Raheny Reason were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Red and Music Lesson came together at the start with both being checked slightly. Entering the first turn Music Lesson moved inwards to the rail, hit the rail, fell heavily and caused severe checks to Killer Touch, Thrilling Red and Media Frenzy. A post race veterinary examination of Music Lesson detected an injury requiring a 5 day stand down from racing. Killer Touch and Media Frenzy came together for a stride on the first bend. Music Lesson (R.P.O'Regan). Left fore and left hind nail bed injuries and minor spike wounds. Rule 82.1. 5 days to and including 28.09.06.
