Race 1 | ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C5 - 295 | Into the bend YENDY'S TITLE struck MRS DOO coming back on CLAN ONYX. All three lost ground to finish at the rear. CLASSIC FLYER (R Adcock) right gracilus tear. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 3 October 2006. SPARKLING LIGHTS (GA Cleeve) left front fourth toe sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 30 September 2006. |
Race 2 | HAMPDEN TAVERN SPRINT - C3/4 - 295 | FOX FIRE drifted to the rear after jumping never improving during the running. Into the bend the favourite HOMEBUSH BELLA was tightened as WHATA BUY drove to the lead. That resulted in HOMEBUSH BELLA checking back onto HOMEBUSH BEE and AFTERNOON DELITE, who went wide forcing OHOKA FLIRT and an improving FOX FIRE very wide on the track. These dogs lost all chance enabling the placegetters to skip clear. |
Race 3 | BARRONS SUPPLIES STAKES - C2 - 520 | The favourte RAILS BOOKMAKER was slow to jump from the outside box but improved wide around the field into the back straight challenging for the lead. The effort told and he finished a very good third. WHATA DUDE drifted to the rear after jumping running on late for fifth. |
Race 4 | ALPHA PROCESSING SPRINT - C3/4 - 295 | WILD BILL ran out into the bend causing checks to COCONUT ICE, MUSCOVY and HOMEBUSH BUZZ. MUSCOVY recovered well to finish on for third with the others at the rear. HOMEBUSH BUZZ was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. |
Race 5 | ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C3 - 295 | All clear. |
Race 6 | CONTAINERMAN STAKES - C4 - 520 | CECILIA HENRY, SYDNEY HAVOC and FORCEFUL HABIT tangled into the first bend losing ground. All three finished near the rear. HOMEBUSH LUKE (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with right wrist pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 14 days up to and including 5 October 2006. |
Race 7 | CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C5 - 520 | This race started one minute late due to a delay in the preceding harness race at Alexandra Park. Into the back straight and again into the top bend, PICNIC DAY marred TIME TO REMEMBER badly, both losing all chance finishing some distance from the field. As this was PICNIC DAY'S second offence he was stood down under Rule 80.1 for a period of three months up to and including 21 December 2006. Race 8 | KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C2/3 - 520 | LAGOON LADY and FANTASY FAIR were tightened after the jump both losing ground to finish at the rear. Turning for home THRILLING MAX checked out off HOLA CHICA losing momentum to finish fourth. |
Race 9 | APACHE LODGE JUVENILE FINAL - R/Af - 520 | Into the first corner ARROGANT SHIRAZ, GROOVY AGAIN and HOMEBUSH BRADLEY were badly checked as a result of general tightening, with ARROGANT SHIRAZ almost striking the running rail. At the end of the back straight an improving ARROGANT SHIRAZ marred HOMEBUSH THORN. He was stood down for a period of 28 days under Rule 80.1 up to and including 18 October 2006. Race 10 | BACK HERE TUESDAY DASH - C5 - 295 | Into the corner JACK WEBBER, VULCAN EARL, WALS WOICE and TUDOR QUEEN were badly checked with PAREORA ANGEL running off the track onto the grass lip to avoid the skirmish. A veterinary check on her revealed no injury. These five lost all chance finishing some distance from the placegetters. |
