Race 1 METEOR PRINTERS - C1 - 305 MORSHARN ROCKET and DOUBLE HAPPY bumped together twice in the early stages and settled back before running on for 3rd and 4th places. THOMAS THE TANK Ex Manawatu on 06.09.06.
Race 2 DIMOCKS RETROVISION - C0 - 305 MATILDA and ICAN DRIBBLE bumped together as they jumped from the boxes and settled at the rear.
Race 3 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C0f - 520 CENTRAL RAIDER shied and ran out sharply at the winning post with a circuit to run and lost momentum for a couple of strides before recovering to finish in 3rd place. THRILLING CHLOE turned its head out to AWESOME CUDDLES on the final bend and both dogs lost ground at that point. THRILLING CHLOE was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 a i and is required to Trial under Rule 81.1 before its next start. JAMES BEE W.T.Hodgson Rule 68 A late scratching due to the suspected early signs of kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.09.06. THRILLING MYNA A.Udy Rule 64 Suffering from bruised abdominal muscles and stood down for 10 days to and including 16.09.06. THRILLING CHLOE A.Udy Rule 80.1 a i. Marring another runner and stood down for 28 days to and including 05.10.06. Required to Trial under Rule 81.1 before next starting at a Totalisator meeting.
Race 4 HEADS ROAD VETERINARY - C1 - 305 SWEET SECRET checked off the heels of BIGTIME NIPPA on the first corner. On the bend BIGTIME NIPPA galloped on the heels of COREYS FLIGHT and both runners dropped back checking SWEET SECRET and JONNY MARCO in the process and they filled the last four places at the finish.
Race 5 THE RADIO WORKS - C4 - 305 The favourite BIGTIME STORM was the slowest away but then made up ground to finish in 4th place. SAILAH JAYNE and TRISTAN FLEX were handy to the first corner but were checked, lost ground and all chance of a placing.
Race 6 KEENAN CONCRETE - C2/3 - 520 ARANUI GOLD was checked on the first turn, went back and out and forced MAGIC STAND and THRILLING JESS wide on the bend. SEXY BEAST led until entering the back straight but eased and went back to 3rd before again racing until the final bend where he again eased and finished well back. SEXY BEAST was examined and found to have some pain in a thigh muscle and the right gracilus and a 10 day stand down was ordered by the Vet. However, under Rule 80.1 b i SEXY BEAST was stood down for 28 days for failing to persue. SEXY BEAST M.Beeson Rule 80.1 b i Failed to persue and stood down for 28 days to and including 05.10.06. Required to Trial under Rule 81.1 . before next starting at a Totalisator meeting.
Race 7 WANGANUI SECURITY - C3f - 305 THRILLING AMBER ran in on the first turn and checked AMANDA CHOICE, FIRST SAMPLE and DUSTY'S DIAMOND who lost all lost ground with FIRST SAMPLE being the most affected. THRILLING AMBER and ARANUI JAZZ collided on the home turn, lost ground and filled the last two places at the finish.
Race 8 VITA-POWER EXCEED - C4 - 520 HOMEBUSH GORDON, TEDDY HALL and PALSY O'CEIRIN were tightened and checked early in the race and HOMEBUSH GORDON and TEDDY HALL tailed the field be several lengths to the finish. CELESTIAL Ex Manawatu on 06.09.06
Race 9 GUTHRIE BOWRON - C1/2 - 305 GUNGULLIN ran in from the start from box 8 while UNO JEANO ran out from box 1 and several runners drawn between were jostled with KWIK SOLVE, JEN'S LASS and GUS THE BUILDER being most affected.
Race 10 MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C5 - 305 All clear.
