Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer BC Dann was fined a total of $125.00 for two breaches of Rule 69.11 when WHATA PLAN (1.6kgs) and JANE'S COMMANDO (1.9kgs) both weighed in under their last race weights. Mr Dann advised that circumstances in the last two weeks have resulted in a change in the feed regime that affected the dogs' weights.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C5 - 295 BLICKLING HALL, GARLAND GREEN, WHATA BUY and TUDOR QUEEN all tangled when racing in tight quarters into the first bend with GARLAND GREEN suffering the worst check and dropping to a clear last. A post race veterinary check revealed a ruptured ligament in his right hind third toe with a ten day stand down recommended. On the home turn WHATA BUY ran outwards checking TUDOR QUEEN when both dogs were racing at the rear. HOMEBUSH BEE (JT McInerney) club scratching due to an incorrect grade nomination. GARLAND GREEN (GA Cleeve) right hind third toe ruptured ligament. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 3 September 2006.
Race 2 HOUNDS 4 HOMES SPRINT - C3 - 295 Favourite OHOKA FLIRT ran wide from the start and hampered IDOLISE ME and JALOUX JUNCTION over the early stages of the race. They all finished midfield. ROYAL FERN (GA Cleeve) left tensor fascia tear. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days up to and including 13 September 2006. ROOK THE RAVEN (A Joyce) bruised left gracilus. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 31 August 2006.
Race 3 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C3 - 520 USER FRIENDLY checked off THRILLING KIM into the first bend and ran outwards taking WHATA PLAN wide on the track. WHATA PLAN lost about ten lengths in this incident and ran on late for its sixth placing. A post race veterinary check on USER FRIENDLY revealed a sore left gracilus with a fourteen day stand down recommended. USER FRIENDLY (P & B Conner) minor tear left gracilus. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 7 September 2006.
Race 4 INDEPENDENT CARPETS CRANFORD DISTANCE - C0d - 732 ZAZZA BELLE and GATLIN GETTO were slow to leave the boxes. They remained well back throughout. CLAN MURDOCH received a slight check when in between runners on the first turn and dropped to the rear, never improving.
Race 5 DAVE EMERSON CONSULTANCY DASH - C5 - 295 Favourite JACK WEBBER and SPARKLING LIGHTS were slow to jump from the middle of the field. JACK WEBBER was tightened for room when attempting to improve finishing a close fourth with SPARKLING LIGHTS remaining well back throughout.
Race 6 SHIRLEY T.A.B STAKES - C4 - 520 FORCEFUL HABIT ran outwards shortly after the start causing favourite SCOTEXCITED, MIDNIGHT FLUTTER and CONNECT all to be tightened. At the end of the back straight FORCEFUL HABIT and ACCORD were tightened by the improving SCOTEXCITED and CECILIA HENRY. ACCORD dropped out to a long last and a post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 7 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C5 - 520 ORPHAN ASSASSIN was the slowest to jump from the outside box but made ground impressively to finish a close fourth. JUST AS SHIFTY and STACEY ALLEN came together when challenging for the lead into the first bend and dropped back through the field to finish towards the rear. TE PIRITA TIGER (C Mitchell) cough. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 29 August 2006.
Race 8 NUTRI-ZING SPRINT - C3 - 295 WHATA TOWN was clearly last to jump but made up a stack of ground to finish third. Favourite ROYAL REPRIEVE was tightened when challenging for the lead on the first bend losing ground and never improving finishing in sixth placing.
Race 9 RACING AGAIN TUESDAY 29/8 STAKES - C2 - 520 THRILLING SCRUFF was very slow to jump from the inside box and remained last throughout.
Race 10 $8 ROAST & REFRESHMENT TUESDAY DASH - C4 - 295 All clear.
