| Race 4 | RANGIORA BULK MEATS SPRINT - C5 - 295 | PAPPILONG was the slowest to jump making ground late for fifth. MILANION was slightly checked when ZIGGY WAR CRY crossed it soon after the start but didn't lose its second position and remained there for the remainder of the race. Into the bend CAWBOURNE LUKEY checked off the heels of an improving HOMEBUSH FITZY with BONNIE BLINK being forced wide as a result. HOMEBUSH FITZY continued improving to finish third but the other two dogs finished well back. |
| Race 5 | JEAN & DAVE FAHEY DASH - C1/2 - 295 | MYSTERY SOLVED and POWERFAST PATCH were checked due to general tightening into the bend with both dogs losing their chances. They filled the last two placings. PAINT THE STARS (C Mitchell) cough. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 20 August 2006. |
| Race 6 | CASSWOOD RUGS STAKES - C1 - 520 | SHADY'S MATE was checked into the first bend when RAGIN CAJUN crossed sharply to the rails. Both dogs finished beyond midfield. |
| Race 7 | RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ DASH - C1/2 - 295 | HOMEBUSH RYAN and CLAN JAYDEE were sandwiched between the pacemaking AFTERNOON DELITE and an improving POTENTIAL ROGUE on the first bend with both dogs losing ground and finishing midfield. |
| Race 8 | FLAIR STAKES FINAL - C1f - 520 | Favourite BILLY BAXTER was very slow to jump and received a rocky run throughout finishing in fifth placing. Into the first bend PARADISE ECHO was checked by the pacemaking SUZY SANDSTORM losing ground coming back on CLAN BLUE and LESHITA who both lost ground. PARADISE ECHO was also checked soon after by an improving BILLY BAXTER but rallied strongly to finish second. LESHITA and CLAN BLUE dropped out to finish at the rear. |
| Race 9 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C5 - 520 | Second favourite TOMMY LEE WHISKY was slow away but made up a stack of ground to finish a close third in a fast run race. HOMEBUSH BRADLEY turned in its box and was captured by its handler soon after. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. | Race 10 | WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM CANTERBURY O.T.B MAIDEN FINAL - C0f - 520 | Soon after the start NURSE RUBY ran outwards causing a domino effect with ZAMWHEN, GELIGNITE, ELITE PARADISE and GREAT ESTATE all losing their chances and finishing beyond midfield. |
| Race 11 | RED SNAPPER SEAFOODS STAKES - C4 - 520 | KANE BALE was slow to jump and settled at the rear. This dog dropped further away as the race progressed and finished a long last. It was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a sore left gracilus with a seven day stand down recommended. KAKAMA (GA Cleeve) cough. Dog presented.
