Judicial report: Weather: Cloudy Race 4. Trainer D.M.Smith admitted a breach of Rule 69.11 and was fined $50.00 (first offence) for a 1.1kg underweight variance for 'Leslies Pearl' which last raced on 06.08.06.

Race 1	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C0q - 318 Heat 1	Storm Safari and Miss Summer Rose were the slowest to begin. Watch My Freckle ran inwards at the start and checked Kapai Rita slightly. Miss Summer Rose ran very wide on the bend. Zingle moved outwards shortly after entering the home straight when in the rear group and checked Lady Dot which in turn ran outwards sharply and severely checked itself and Miss Summer Rose. A post race veterinary examination of Dream On Cyrus detected no abnormalities.
Race 2	STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - C3/4 - 527	Rowland Reason and Shellsal were the slowest to begin. Time Solves moved inwards entering the first turn and checked Mochaccino. Thrilling Buzz galloped on the hind quarters of Time Solves on the first bend with both being severely checked. Thrilling Buzz then rebounded outwards and checked Rowland Reason. Rowland Reason raced very wide in the back straight and covered extra ground. Mochaccino moved outwards on the home turn and checked Zambora Kezman.
Race 3	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C0q - 318 Heat 1	Bold Jenni began slowly and lost 5 lengths then drifted and showed little improvement thereafter finishing at the rear. Handsome Pierre raced very wide throughout and covered substantial extra ground to finish 5th. A post race veterinary examination of Bold Jenni detected no abnormalities. Clutters ( T.A.Green). Intermittent acute back pain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 21 days to and including 05.09.06.
Race 4	CAROL'S TABS' DASH - C1/2 - 318	Big Archie was the slowest to begin. General tightening after 35 mtrs caused checks to Smart Zac, Thrilling Pirate and Suitability with these runners then continuing to jostle for several strides. Entering the first turn Thrilling Pirate moved inwards to the rail and checked Marble Nugget. On the first turn the hind quarters of Suitability slipped resulting in this runner losing its balance and slowing suddenly with subsequent severe checks to Last Timbah, Leslies Pearl and Big Archie. Just The Don (J.B.Hastie). Intermittent right hind lameness. Pain on flexion of all metatarsals. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 10 days to and including 26.08.06.
Race 5	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #2 FINAL - RESf - 527	Thrilling Match, Charlston Kid and Thrilling Bonny were the slowest to begin. Hello Awesome and My Charlston came together for several strides entering the first turn. Flash Shooter drifted on the turn out of the back straight and hampered Thrilling Neo slightly.
Race 6	OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND LTD DASH - C4 - 318	Charlston Chill ran outwards sharply off the rail on the first turn and carted Nasty Streak and Origin Teddy with it which were also severely checked. Mr Miargi changed ground outwards on the bend when running 5th and lost 2 lengths in the process. Charlston Chill and Origin Teddy bumped each other several times on the home turn and after entering the straight.
Race 7	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD DASH - C3/4 - 318	Time Over Boots and Junior Time came together several times prior to the first turn. Entering the first turn Traditionalist clipped the heels of and severely checked Just Hasty. Junior Time ran out sharply on the bend and severely checked itself and Traditionalist. Time Over Boots and Dreamaqueen came together on the home turn with Dreamaqueen being severely checked.
Race 8	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD STAKES - C2 - 527	Thrilling Class was very slow to begin then made up ground strongly throughout to win well. Entering the first turn Hopplar cut across the field to the rail, tightened and severely checked San Shin into the path of Best Place, Miss Tonsberg and This Time Boots which were also severely checked. Maximum was forced to run very wide in order to avoid this interference. Best Place changed ground outwards after entering the home straight when running 4th and lost 2 lengths. Lauren Auder (L.D.Martin). Late scratching. Deceased due to injury.
Race 9	WWW.ARGC.CO.NZ STAKES - C1 - 527	Just Bank It was the slowest to begin. On the first turn Thrilling Patsy was tightened between runners when handy and moved outwards slightly severely checking Tempest Lass on it's outer. Thrilling Patsy then became unbalanced and fell with Tempest Lass becoming entangled with it and almost falling as well. Thrilling Fury was also severely checked in this incident. A post race veterinary examination of Thrilling Patsy detected injuries requiring a 21 day stand down from racing. Thrilling Patsy (N.Udy). Sprain to left elbow and hock. Various grazing and bruising to caudal thigh muscles. Several spike wounds. Rule 82.1. 21 days to and including 06.09.06.
Race 10	'WE RACE SUNDAY 20TH AUGUST' DASH - C1 - 318	Trendy Jill and I've Got Mail were the slowest to begin. Lily Longlegs and Spyridon Louis came together several times nearing the first turn. Astro Sharrie and Trendy Jill ran very wide on the bend. Lily Longlegs ran outwards on the bend and severely checked Spyridon Louis, Astro Sharrie and itself. Astro Sharrie, Lily Longlegs and Trendy Jill ran very wide on the home turn when at the rear.
