G & S Hayden-Holmes the Trainers of THOMAS THE TANK were fined $ 75-00 under Rule 88.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight.

QUHY MOHAN turned its head and ran out sharply from the start and checked GRUNDY, PATRICIA SHERRY and MINSTRAL LAD. QUHY MOHAN was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b i and is required to trial under Rule 81.1. QUHY MOHAN moved in on the first turn and checked GRUNDY who lost ground. QUHY MOHAN C.Morris Rule 80.1 b i Failed to persue the lure and stood down for 28 days to and including 05.09.06 and to Trial under Rule 81.
Race 2 MANAWATU SOUND SERVICES - C0 - 297 LIGHTS OFF ran out from the start and crowded several runners for a few strides before straightening. IRON WOMAN T.McCracken Rule 64.10 In season and stood down for 28 days to and including 01.09.06.
Race 3 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C1 - 297 The winner FRIDAY CULTURE moved in on the first corner and checked VOO DOO who dropped back onto BIGTIME NIPPA and they both lost ground and finished well back.
Race 4 ALBION TAVERN SHANNON - C1 - 297 WOODSTOCK ROCKS and VINNYMORE were slow to begin but then recovered to finish 3rd and 4th. WOFTAMS TIP and SWAPSY collided on the first corner and dropped back checking HOMEBUSH CHRIS who fell but was not injured.
Race 5 PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C2 - 297 BANKSIDE GO GO and MR GULLIVER were handy to the first turn but collided and dropped back losing all chance.
Race 6 CLOVERLEA TAVERN - C2 - 297 All clear.
Race 7 SANTA LUCIA MEMORIAL CHALLENGE - DIVISION 1 - C1 - 505 ARANUI TUI jumped out well but dropped out before the first corner and finished a long last. ARANUI TUI was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. ARANUI TUI M.Boyd Rule 82 Suffered a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 05.09.06.
Race 8 SANTA LUCIA MEMORIAL CHALLENGE - DIVISION 2 - C1 - 505 RAVEN LOU went up with the box lids and soon after collided with PRINCE APITI and they were the last two into the first turn. RAVEN LOU recovered to finish in 3rd place while PRINCE APITI stayed back and finished in last place.
Race 9 COMMITTEE STAKES - C3 - 297 The two well supported runners TRADITIONALIST and REBEL ALLIANCE were the slowest away and never recovered, finishing well back. GUS THE BUILDER was checked on the bend and lost ground and also finished well back. ELLABEYOND Ex Wanganui on 04.08.06.
Race 10 MANAWATU SECURITY SERVICES - C2 - 505 AMUSEMENT and FLIPPITY JIBBIT collided at the rear of the field on the first turn and lost several lengths and all chance. The favourite SHARIMORE ran out at the start and collided with AMANDA CHOICE losing ground. SHARIMORE was again checked on the first corner and ran out a little wide on the bend.and eventually finished in 5th place.
Race 11 CARETAKER STAKES - C4/5 - 505 SAVIOLA was checked on the first bend and almost fell. SAVIOLA tailed the field from there and finished several lengths last.
Race 12 HAERE RA - C3/4 - 297 One of the favourites SEXY DELIGHT was away well from box 1 but moved away from the rail and collided with another runner and dropped back to last. SEXY DELIGHT was again checked on the first corner, lost more ground but then ran home very well to finish in 2nd place. FOUR SQUARE G.Caffell Rule 64 Suffering from a hock injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 04.09.06. COMANCHE BRAVE B.Melville Rule 64 Suffering from a bite wound and stood down for 7 days to and including 11.08.06.
